It's one of the largest reasons why I would never join the GOP. Even when I voted more 'right' when I lived in Oregon, I never affiliated. What I find funny are all the registered republican swingers. A party that would condemn you for your lifestyle choices and would love to see you in jail for it. I just don't get it. I lived in the South and I will never move back. I've also decided that I refuse to support a party that tries to enforce Christian dogma on the populous despite the 1st Amendment, take away our right to search and seizure despite the 4th and the while banging the drum of the 2nd Amendment. Last time I check anyone can get a firearm. Can you say the same thing about the 1st and 4th? NO!

WIFE AND I WILL BE AT CLUB HABITS SATURDAY 23 - - I went to a meet/greet a while ago at Club Habits and instantly became a member due to the environment and dress code. Our friends love it there and often after our "naturalist swim" Saturday nights we go to Habits and finish the night off. The Naturalist group are not swingers however if any swingers/members find themselves there Saturday night I would love to have you join my wife and i for a drink and say hello.
We always sit in the same place, the small room near the front west corner from 9-10pm until close.
This is in no way a special event or to take away from the regular group that meet at this club. Just my way of inviting other club members to look us up.:D

Wannabes and net fakes - Will the real lifestyle members please stand up - How you not really notice who they are. My significant other and myself are not swingers we are in a lifestyle. Not something that comes and goes with the weather. We live a lifestyle. We have another lover that we love and adore and again love getting together with other couples and even groups for dinners and playtime.
We have been in the lifestyle for over ten years and have spent more than our fair share of time apart because of the Navy but even then we talk about our life together first then the lifestyle we enjoy. Seeing people on here just to scope pictures or have sex.....we are looking for lifetime friends. I think that all that are in the lifestyle are doing the same thing, looking for people with the same goals and ideals. We just have the ability to be closer than most.

It sounds like you and your wife are not quite on the same page yet, which is quite normal at the beginning of exploring the Lifestyle. You are looking for friendships with those who are in a similar situation. That's a good idea, but be prepared that even those friendships may be fleeting as the chemistry or level of comfort may still be different.
At the beginning of our lifestyle journey, my wife and I were just as you are today, (I was also at a different level as my wife too). TheFunCouple offers excellent advice on going to meet & greets. I also add that you might want to check out a place like Sea Mountain Inn in Palm Springs. There you can see how comfortable it is to be nude in front of others and witness all the different levels of the lifestyle. You will have opportunities to talk to others and learn more. There is no pressure to play. Plus, you will be out of Utah and away from people who might recognize you.
If you are adventurous enough, maybe plan a vacation to Temptations Resort in Mexico. This resort is not truly a lifestyle resort but is a lifestyle friendly resort since so many non swingers go there. It still is a sexually charged resort. You will meet a lot of people who are similar to you there and you have a whole week to be relaxed, get into vacation mode, and explore your steps into the lifestyle together without judgement or pressure.
real members? - - You've struck on an interesting topic. I call them cyber swingers. They are swinger wanna be's . They find the thought of swinging erotic and interesting but they don't have the balls to actually get involved in the lifestyle. They like to hide behind the safety of their computer screen. They'll exchange email with you as long as you're willing or dumb enough to keep writing them. They'll never actually meet you or anyone else. That would be way too personal and would force them to crawl out from behind the security of their computer. Or you ocasionally run into the single guy that has created this fictional "couple". It's all a big game for him. He's just there to collect photos or maybe trick someone into playing with him because his wifes is "unavailable " at the moment. Whatever their game they're all the same because they both violate the principles of honesty and trust that the lifestyle revolves on.
We get email all the time from couples that "have read your profile--think you guys are great and want to get to know you better". That generally sends off alarm bells for us. We'll respond and exchange an email or two. If the other couple doesn't have pics posted or pics of just one of them we ask for additional photos in the first email. Since we have good pics of both of us in our profile we never send any other pics other than those posted. If we get the "don't have any pics of him or he's camera shy or don't have a camera yet" or any one of the other lame excuses we've gotten over the past year or so--that's it--you're done as far as we're concerned. We'll give out our cell phone number right away and tell them to call us or give us theirs and we'll call them. We want to speak to both of them. If we can't because one's not there we'll call back at a more convenient time when we can talk to both of them. If everything seems ok during the conversation we'll make a date to meet at a convenient restaurant or club and take things from there. This seems to work well for us. It tends to weed out the "cyber swinger" right away.

thoughts on Pictures - - I have to agree that just a genital shot for an opener is not very good. But I have also seen face shots that look like mug shots and sure are not much more interesting. Come on, this is a SWINGERS site!!! After all the object is to promote our involvement in this lifestyle. Our profile and pics are supposed to tell something about us. My wife likes to pose, and I enjoy taking her pictures. We try to use pics that show how we feel, or how we want to be precieved in the lifestyle. We get lots of feed back telling how they like her smile, or how we look like a fun couple. It makes us feel good that people enjoy what we have to share with them.
Some people have no pics at all, others have one, or just a few dull shots, or the close up genital shots. Put something into your albums, and you will get more out of this site, and maybe this lifestyle. Thats my opinion.
