Political Forum - POLL: Should we bring it into the rotation? - I think its quite cool that a rather large group of people find relatively common interests about sexual openness, sexual play, sexual fantasy etc... it's really cool that we share such an uncommon attitude about sex and yet we have such diverse opinions about Politics (and Religion) etc. Fascinating. Years ago before I knew anything about or anyone involved in swinging I would have guessed that there would have been a more common social thread among swingers but as was mentioned before, its probably a pretty good cross section... So, it seems to me that if we are trying to connect at a fun playful sexual level the last thing we would want to do is find ways to disagree and reasons to disconnect from people by having a special "top five" forum category that is one of the 2 most divisive topics on the planet. So, I'd say, there are plenty of other places to fight about politics (or religion), we don't need it here and since you are asking for opinions here's mine: If you leave it in there will be some well thought out points made but it will be a source of argument, anger, and name calling... we've seen it before, just like anywhere else, people get ugly here too. If you take it out only a few will miss it. There are other places, plenty of them, to debate the un-win-able debates. This is a play place, a fun safe place to escape the mundane and intolerant mainstreamers. We don't need to create ways to find intolerance and anger within this community too. I want to know how sexy and fun you are not what your politics are... Florida Nude Beaches - Any on the west coast? - We are friends of the owners of Edun Lake and they do have a website and you need to let them know you are coming to get the gate code to get in. It is not a swingers resort but so many guests are in the lifestyle, the owners are not. If it is ok to mention a website on here, The Florida Swing Party host private parties at Edun Lake once in a while and you can check their website for a current calendar of events. I know they are hosting a great New Years Eve party not far from Naples. If you rent a boat, you can go to the north end of Captiva Island. Not sure of the legalities, but it is "owned" by the Sanibel Naturists and known locally as a nude beach but not officially recognized as one. We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - Again, the intent of this post wasn't to obsess over this one bad time. It was to express our feelings and frustration. The advice everyone has shared with us is very helpful. We just want to avoid this kind of situation in the future. Is this one of your rules? What is it? is it fear? or something - Does everyone feel this way? - To everyone, and no one in particular, The reason I have asked this question was not to insult any one's rules, or chastise as some seem to have taken it, AGAIN. I have asked this because our rules have changed and even lightened. As we get deeper into the lifestyle we have given up alot of our original rules and now they are more like guidelines. (I don't know if any of you remember the beating I took in the forum for having a no kissing rule, but after abandoning it I still have yet to find another man I can kiss passionately, just doesn't do it for me I guess.) I am still wondering why this is such a popular rule. It seems there are many who have the "No friends, No play rule." I am only curious as to why. I do not think anyone owes anyone sex, I don't think that everyone should fuck on the first date, I am simply curious. We are very secluded in the south, and are limited as to options of swingers to befriend. A great deal of you Northern Utah swingers have this "No friends, No play rule," out of respect for your rules I can't hardly send you an email asking if you want to hookup this weekend as we are only going to be in town Friday, and have a life to get back to on Saturday. This would break your rule and I cannot feasibly ask it of you. Alternate Semi Swinging Site? - FInding the right connections - Do any of you know of alternative sites for partial swingers. [/quote] As we were looking around at the various swingers clubs in Las Vegas before our trip, the Couples Oasis was one of the ones that we considered, but we felt that $80 ($35 for the activation fee and $45 for the party) was a bit steep for one night (with the other things that we had planned for the weekend, one night was all we set aside for going to a swingers club). Maybe next time we will try something different and go to the Couples Oasis. On a side note, as we were conversing with some of the locals about the various clubs, we were told that the upstairs area at the Red Rooster is generally only open on Fridays and Saturdays, which is what they told us there too, so keep that in mind too.
