Why are there so many swingers from Utah? - - Yes Florida is great for swingers,we just moved from there and we had a great time there. The swingers there are great people, we are an older couple and the young swingers had no problem with swinging with us.WE moved to Michigan and no one even answers your mail.

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News -

Gasp! Tens of thousands of swingers here in Utah. I believe Utah now has a slightly higher-than-average divorce rate. The national divorce rate is 3.4% with Utah slightly higher at 3.6%. The percent of divorced residents in Utah is reported as 9.3% which is the 18th lowest in the nation. Don't ask me how those numbers reconcile. It has something to do with immigration into the state I am guessing. New Jersey reports that 8.5% of it's residents are divorced and that is the lowest in the nation. Well what do you think? Did more than 3.6% of all the swinger couples, that you have met end up getting a divorce? Was it over swinging? Are more than 9.3% of the swingers population divorced? This would include all the singles now swinging that were once married. One woman telling the media how swinging ended her marriage is anecdotal at best. Do I believe she is telling the truth? Yes I do. Do I personally believe swinging ads an extra element of jeopardy to a marriage? Yes I do. Do I believe there are quite a few people that would be happier staying away from the swinging lifestyle? Yes I do. Never-the-less, most of the couples, we have personally met, that are swingers seem to enjoy swinging and frankly enjoy doing it together. Do I believe there are quite a few couples who will enjoy swinging? Yes I do, we certainly have enjoyed the lifestyle experience as do a lot of swinging couples we have met. In the end if you are a married couple you have to make the decision based on the two of you, as to whether or not swinging is a good thing in your lives individually and as a couple. As for statistical models as to the divorce rate within the community of swingers well there aren't any. This isn't really a news story it's sensationalist journalism designed to attract viewers. Anyway, the divorce rate has been going down since the 1980s and swinging has been on the rise since the 1980s so you could make an analogy that swinging is saving marriage. Yes it would be a bunch of anecdotal bull shit just like this story.
Right. And swinging doesn't end a marriage anymore than cheating or lying or alcohol abuse or drugs, etc; people end marriages. Any relationship is an invention solely created by those people involved and only they have power over its progress forward. Will swinging or discussions about it lead to problems between people in relationships? Potentially. But any attempt by the anonymous lady in the story to blame swinging for anything is an attempt on her part to avoid accountability. You can't blame the alcohol itself for the drunk. PS, NJ may have a lower divorce rate b/c it's one of the few states that still grants annulment instead of divorce in certain cases.
And I thought it was all that Frankie Valli music and strolls along the Jersey Shore that rekindled the romance in Jersey nuptials.
"Oh Frankie, it's so magical when we go down the shore and watch the waves bring medical waste in!"
So you're saying Ocean City Maryland instead?

KSL Sucks - 3 posted comments deleted by editors of forums - Seems to me that they were expected to be open and accepting of this lifestyle choice. Yet, you'd be utterly amazed at the number of "swingers" who proclaim that they are open-minded, and yet attack the lifestyle choices of others in this very lifestyle... Just read the forums. You expected KSL's viewers to be any different?

Anyone else getting sick of clubs - - I think a house party would be awesome....never been to one though. I keep moving so I have few friends. I come from Oklahoma "bible belt" so friends that understand and accept the lifestyle my husband and I desire are hard to find. In Tucson,AZ now and I am trying to figure out where to move after here to be overwhelmed by the freedoms true "swingers" offer! Any suggestions?

Do you 'advertise' your lifestyle desires in public? - - Try dropping the word lifestyle into a sentance,or ask if you have meet before and use a club name everyone knows is a swingers club. In Dallas the key word would be San sousi.

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News -
Would that be desirable? There is no up-shot to more exposure good or bad. The more attention you draw the more likely those that have polar opposite views will notice and turn their time and attention to you. -- This story is no different than car accidents during a NASCAR race or sex scenes on the Game of Thrones. The public gets a little look at something titillating and taboo wrapped up in a way to make it consumable without feeling guilt. It was not about the woman who called the station, she was just the excuse to work sex into a news story. The news-people know this and peddle it appropriately: Start the newscast by mentioning it and saying it was "coming up" then mention it again just before and/or after each commercial break.. then run the segment near dead last before ending the show. Most likely they ran little commercials for it all week long as well. Sex sells :)
It's kind of two sided. Short term we think would be mostly bad. Long term continual exposure would eventually breed a level of tolerance from some of the vanilla community. Unless you wanted to be maryter no it's not a good idea. We wouldn't do an interview. Frankly for most of us swinging is not at all what defines us nor occupies very much of our time.

FWB Anyone...??? - Seeking FWB - Couple to Date - We're an attractive, fit and fun couple looking for the same - FWB. We've dated 3 couples in the past 6 years and have had a blast! Since we've been in the LS for a while, we're picky and know what we want. We get a lot of friendship requests but no message to go along with it. We don't consider ourselves "swingers", we don't want to go to parties, not our jam but we do like to meet new people and see if the potential is there to be exclusive. It is hard making sure all 4 people have a connection but we've done it before and it has been fantastic so we know it can happen. Anyone interested...??? **Check out our profile and send us a message if you like what we're laying down ;)

The People of Whoville are Swingers! - Adult Humor In Movies - I was watching The Grinch Who Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey & noticed one of the parties was a Key Party! Those Naughty people of Whoville are Swingers! That’s why they are so happy! Any other kids style movies you’ve seen hidden adult humor?

BUSTED! Your Kids Found Out Your Swingers. Now What? - - I actually have expirience in this from the kids point of view. When I was 14 my parents got into it and I put the pieces together myself. There were women coming over and they were having parties that I wasn't allowed to even BE around. I wasn't allowed to meet these people or be at home...my parents ASKED me to spend a night at a friends. So I cornered my mom one day (my mom was my best friend, totally inseperable) and I asked her if they had gotten into swinging. She told me that they had, that it was a hell of a lot of fun, and that she had expirimented with women! We had a long talk about bi-sexuality and alterative sex lives and te boundary we set for ourselves was don't ask, don't tell, and god PLEASE don't let me get that mental image again! Now that I'm all grown up, I'm seeing swinging from the adult point of view and I see the appeal. I'm looking forward to seeing if it's really for me.

Swingers - a couples only lifestyle? - Are singles considered to be swingers? - We don't argue that many couples enjoy MMF and FFM get togethers. We like it to! What were saying is to call yourself a swinger and be single really doesn't fit the description of being in the lifestyle.
