I agree with Don on what he said earlier in this thread. The entire concept of sin was created by the religious leaders as a form of control. Every organized religion serves 3 primary purposes; 1) to explain the why's and how's of creation, 2) to give a foundation of how to live, 3) to give comfort about death. From the beginning of time religious leaders have used the power of religion as a means of controlling the masses to do what the leaders wanted or at least thought was best.
Judao-Christian and Islamic religions went a step farther and created the concept of sin as a method of control. They created a list of commandments and declared that to violate these was to be in sin. Some sins were of greater import than others but it all equalled to the same thing, commit too many or even one of the wrong ones and you would be barred from from enjoyment and peace offered in the afterlife.
So to answer the original question here, Can you swing and not be in Sin? Absolutely you can. Sin cannot exist seperate of heavily regulated and controlled organized religion. Since Religion itself is a fabrication of man, then so Sin is also a fabrication. I don't know too many swingers that particularly care for anyone else telling them what to do, how to do it, or whom they can do it with, regardless of the area of their life. Especially when it comes to their sex life.

Someone mentioned Polyamory. Poly people, at least in most communities, feel that swinging and poly are not compatible.. Fact is, why not? If you are open and honest about your poly leanings and totally honest with your mate and any relationships you may have... then why not poly as well. I know that several people in here and on other sites, swingers feel threatened if you are overtly open abut your feelings. If one truely loves and trusts their partner/SO/wives; husbands/girlfriends; bopyfriends and whatever other relationships that I may have missed, they should not be threatened. If you fall in love with someone that you have sex with.... you have 2 choices..... Tell that person and their spouse and your spouce and see where it goes or simply walk away with the thoughts and get on with your life. The 3rd option is not an option.... If one is poly...thier primary relationship/s take precedence.

I don't think it is so much of trust and love that is necessary for a poly relationship. There are, in theory at least, benefits. OTOH, NILIF. So, you are going to add complications. Many marriages already are at risk or in divorce. So, it is difficult to handle one person. What about 3? Now, it is a very nice idea to say that whomever the wife plays with is whomever she plays with. However, the reality is that it will have some effect on me. Is it always so easy to divorce yourself from the situation? Yes, in theory, you can say that when you come home, the other people are out of your lives. In practice, it often has a way of creeping back in to the primary relationship.

Swinger cruise - YOLO cruise on Carnival Legend (April 26th) - We've been in the lifestyle for about 3-3 1/2 years and I am wondering if most swingers are also nudists. I am curious because of this discussion about when/if nudity is allowed around the pool.
When BEACHWITHUS said the following, "implying that anytime you want to lounge poolside, you can do so, nude, which is what you'd expect from a lifestyle cruise" I wondered if this IS what people expect on a lifestyle cruise.
While we've gone to nudist resorts several times for lifestyle parties, and are comfortable being nude in that environment, we don't consider ourselves nudists.
I know that many nudists are quick to clarify that they are NOT swingers. Are there swingers who also feel they aren't nudists?
We've been on other lifestyle cruises that were not complete take-overs (since this is the first after all) and it was still a good time even though there were MANY more restrictions & limitations around the ship except for in the private lounge they provided where we could be skimpier, saucier, racier...awww, you get the idea. LOL Being free to be more open and dress sexier can make this cruise much more fun and exciting!
It seems from the message sent out clarifying the rules about nudity on the ship that we'll get to see lots of skin for all but 2 days while in port. So, will most of those cruising be nudists or will there be those swingers who aren't nudists? Will there be some who wear a bikini or just go topless or will the majority be nudists?
