another club under fire - club in peoria - PEORIA -- City leaders in Peoria will soon consider an ordinance aimed at outlawing private swingers clubs where couples meet and swap partners.
The ordinance is aimed at a local business called Club 307. The club sits a couple of blocks from the Police Department and is reportedly a swingers club.
Mayor Jim Ardis told the (Peoria) Journal Star that the city doesn't have an ordinance preventing couples from paying to enter a club and swap partners. But he believes the city needs one.
City Councilman Eric Turner thinks many people are disgusted that Peoria has such a club.
Nobody answered a call to the phone number listed for the club on Friday, and there was no way to leave a message.
The council plans to consider the ordinance Tuesday.

I Have A Question - Poly vs. Open - We have found we are very flexible but with preferences. If we contact a couple and meet them for a drink or dinner and we have some great conversation and the attraction is there, it opens numerous possibilities. If we get naked the experience can range from OMG to letβs not go there again. Polyamory requires effort and commitment that we are not looking for, we want FWB that we can see when the timing works out. Not getting naked is ok also and sometimes we meet folks in the lifestyle that just become friends and not sexual partners.
We try to keep it simple and never take it seriously and we have been fortunate to have a close group of friends who we enjoy being with. We also enjoy meeting new couples wherever we are. We enjoy events where we can meet other swingers like Naughty in Nawlins. We have had some incredible experiences and again just some so so experiences also.
The point is we do not define ourselves as polyamory but we know what we like and we never consider the specifics of what it is besides swinging.
Swingers unnerve families at hotel - - We were there also at the Interlude event......Let me assure you No child was able to see any adult doing anything of anykind. There was no \"glass Atrium\" there were however glass elevators.. the Party was held in an enclosed invironment with security.. However to get to your rooms you had to take the glass elevators which are in the common area`s of the Crown Plaza......by the way all of the guest for the Interlude party were booked on the ninth and tenth floors ....Now if any child was exposed to anything it was less than anything they have seen on television or any magazine they can see at a grocery store check out line! Now for the mom who was highly offended ,, Her hubby was probably wishing he was with one of those well dressed lovely women!......Damd I cant wait till Disney Has a swingers pride day like they give all the flaming Homosexuals.... Stainless Steel Kitchens? - Stainless Steel Kitchens? - We are thinking that we want the cabinets themselves to be stainless but the counter top to be some other material because it is more likely that scratches or stains will occur on the counter tops than on the cabinets or the appliances with exception of the stove. Stove tops (like swingers posting in the forums) can take a lot of abuse if you cook a lot. Some wear and maybe even some scaring is bound to happen. We are looking more for low maintenance functionality and dependability than high maintenance glamour that you are afraid to touch or that has a quick break down once you actually start to cook. We just love a kitchen that just screams use me harder, harder, yes please. As I said earlier we are more like an adventure base camp than the Ritz Carlton. The designer we know and trust and so far are planning on using has a team he works with it seems but we can pass anyone's name along to him and yes we will be discrete. So far he has never had a request for a steel kitchen so we are looking mostly for someone that has access to the steel cabinetry and some experience in installing steel kitchens. We are still open to other options so long as the durability might be comparable.
Curious Question - - Welcome to NV Poohbear!! Living in Elko we have the luxury of being within driving distance to our friends in Salt Lake City AND in Reno. Reno does have 3 swingers clubs, tho they arent anything compared to the ones in Las Vegas and other areas. Polyamory - Any thoughts on an exclusive 3 or more partner relationship? - One thing to help is swinging is not poly and poly is not swinging. They are two distinct differences. Swinging is about the physical aspect - sex (and friendship of course), while poly is about love (poly - many, amory - love -- many love).
Many people who live in a triad or a poly relationship started off as swingers, but due to the emotional conflict between many "typical" swingers, chose to go into a more poly lifestyle.
