swingers resort - - Sea Mountain landed in Desert Hot springs after Dewie lost his place in Malibu CA. He brought the Hollywood vibe with him when he took over the new place & he sunk a ton of money into it. He works hard to keep everything high end, from the Egyptian cotton linens to the mineral water hot tub. Its a nice place. It tends to be high energy & It's normally packed. I often stay at a German spa that is a few blocks away & just get day passes to sea mountain when they are full. The clientele is a little mixed, but it's mostly pretty people & there is normally a lot of action there.
Food in the area is hit & miss. My favorite reasonably priced restaurant is a place called Fisherman's in Palm Springs.
The area gets kind of sketchy at night. I've had some run ins with crack heads when I've gone for supplies late in the evening. Sea Mountain itself is completely safe, but I would plan to stock up on supplies during the day. Also, the AM/PM station on Gene Autry Trail doesn't take credit cards after dark, so plan your gas around that as well.
Favorite bars in utah - - Yes, I read the article. Our experience (getting close to 30 years in the swinging trenches) has shown that the authorities almost invariably use other (easier to prosecute) issues to shut down naughty things like swinging parties. Recently in Texas they're trying to use zoning ordinances and disturbing the peace and, believe it or not, parking ordinances. Quite often it's alcohol related. Not too many years ago with a local, fairly prominent swinger who held frequent parties in his upscale neighborhood they nailed him for providing alcohol to minors (apparently one girl at one of his parties was not yet 21).
And I would ague that Las Vegas is anything but tolerant for swingers parties or really anything related to sex. They love to sell the idea of sex but when the rubber meets the road they are as intolerant as anywhere we've been. I don't remember the last hotel takeover we attended in Vegas where a topless pool wasn't promised and then shut down by the local authorities. Of course the big money hotels have absolutely no problem providing topless pools...if they can charge a hefty premium to do so. Vegas is all sizzle and no steak (in the vernacular of my grandfather).
Younger couples - How hard is it for younger couples - i think in general there are less younger swingers because many of them havent reached a point where they are comfortable with the notion of "its just sex"

Handling aging and lifestyles - How do you handle getting older? - I'll second Utahldscouple. Interests and comfort level with play partners is more important than age. There are many mature swingers much more attractive than younger ones too. Perhaps they have more time to devote to fitness. Age really means nothing to us. Body types don't matter much either.
