Whats good for the goose is good for the gander... - - Just one last thought on the subject. I rarely post on these issues, but have to throw this in on this particular thread. I believe the basic question that we all have to ask ourselves is: "Why are we in the LifeStyle to begin with?" I will not presume to answer for anyone on here, but for my wife and I the particular reason is to spend our lives living not living to spend our lives. As far as all the single males, fatties, skinnies bashing that appears to be occurring, folks, we are missing the basic premise of the swinging lifestyle here. It is to meet new people, establish friendships and to reap the benefits of those friendships even if they are just someone to go get a burger with. Just because you are on a "Swingers" site, sex is not all that there is. We are just as happy finding folks that want to grab dinner and see a movie as we are playing around with. Building lasting relationships and having people that one can count on is more important than notching our bedposts. As far as the body weight issue is concerned, K has gone through quite an ordeal to lose over 100 pounds in the past 15 months (and she is looking very good!). To those folks that apply the HWP stipulation to their profiles. all I can suggest is that perhaps you should redefine your limitations. You could be missing out on not only some great friendships, but actually some pretty intense sexual experiences. Kitty, anyone that has anything negative for you should seriously step back and examine who they are, what they want, where they are in life and why they are in this particular lifestyle. And BTW, I am with you on your own little world thing! It is ALL about having fun, making friends and enjoying life. Let's face it, no one is born into this lifestyle and all of our ideas, conceptions and beliefs are based on what we learned in our formative years. For some, that includes the perfective (is that a word?) states of looks, shape and health. Is that the goals that should drive us in a lifestyle of this nature? How close is too close - - If you have problems in your marriage, swinging is not going to fix them. I think the excitment of swinging will, perhaps, camoflage them for a short time. But in the long run if there are problems the level of trust that is required to swing -- just will not be there. But I wonder how our statistics compare to the general public? Are swinging couples getting divorced at a higher or lower rate? Comparing our swinging friends with our vanilla friends, the swingers seem far more happy with and into their mate. The scenarios and issues raised by this question, happen in and out of swinging. Remember the joke -- "my wife ran off with my best friend, and boy I am going to miss him". New to this all - - Single guys donn't exactly have a easy time of it in the swinging world. It's made up mostly of couples with the occassional Unicorn (single female), and many couples have a "we're trading, but you're not providing the female part of the trade" attitude, which goes all the way back to when what is now called swinging was called wife swapping. And the vast majority of couples who are interested in inviting a single person to play with them are looking for a female, not a male. There just aren't very many people looking for a single male, and there are tons of them looking to be involved. So the numbers are against you. Besides that, it's hard for a single male to meet people. They're allowed to attend only a very, very few parties and/or events unless they have a female with them. Even the male half of a known swinging couple often isn't welcome if the female half isn't with him. He may be in a couple, but withput the woman he's just another single guy. Your best chance at someone being interested in you is online at a site like this. But, again, there are gazillions more single males than there are people looking for them, so the competition is pretty tough. To be a "winner", you usually need to be relatively young, pretty good looking, and fairly fit. So if you want to generate any interest, you have to post pics. And while nudes are a good idea if you hsave the body for it, straight dick pics are not, unless it's 10 inches long or something. And even then it might be a turn off more than a turn on for lots of people. If you don't have any pics of yourself posted, those difficult odds you face morph into impossible odds. If you do manage to attend any parties or events, chill. Don't be aggressive. Single males have a rep for assuming any woman at a swinger's function wants to jump into the sack with them. From what I've seen, most single males aren't like that, but enough are that single guys get labelled as a group, so the best way to behave is as if the woman you're talking to is someone you just met at some "normal" party.
