Actually, we went to Vegas for a week a few years back and it was fun. ABYSOLFIEND made reference to the fact that even if you get verified some people will still treat you with mistrust so I made reference to the title of the Hunter S. Thompson book "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas" while kidding around about the apprehension people can have about each other here in Utah. We actually hooked up with someone not on a swingers web site when we went to Vegas. In Vegas people are playful enough that just a good conversation in a coffee shop with a playful couple in the Mandalay Bay can lead to nakedness. We are possibly too trusting ourselves but so far that has mostly led to fun! We are now days a bit more careful because we want to avoid ever catching an STD or STI than we are apprehensive about the actual existence of the people that contact us.

If you are open and honest about your poly leanings and totally honest with your mate and any relationships you may have... then why not poly as well. We have been to the meet and greets too and we don't go very often and have not been to one in ages. Maybe twice a year we hit one but when we do go we pretty much introduce ourselves to everybody and if we missed someone we didn't mean to. You do have to be proactive to be successful in meeting people or at least reactive in a positive fashion when someone interesting approaches you. We have been to Habits and ended up leaving with someone, but we had already had a bit of friendly back and forth somehow with the people we left with or it was someone we met previously and had at least chatted a bit. We think we have only been there maybe five times altogether. Disabled Swingers - - My best friend was disabled, and while up until the last month of her life she was not confined to needing mobility assistance, she was active in the lifestyle and very upfront with people about her disability. She was always a BBW, struggling with issues from severe depression and diabetes, her weight fluctuated up and down as a side effect of various medications and changes in medications to manage her primary illness, that being bipolar disorder. Sometimes she had zero sex drive as a side effect of some of the medications for her depression, and sometimes she wanted sex 24/7 (Manic side of the bipolar disorder). She always told anyone that contacted her about her illness from the first contact/reply and would leave it up to them if there was ever to be an in person meeting knowing that she may or may not be able to play. We were friends for over 8 years, and while we were active in the lifestyle as a couple for 2 years we always let others know there was a possibility of the other one of us being around (especially when she was having bad times from her mental illness). She always had a good time when she was able to play, and we met a lot of really good people.
So just hang in there, be honest and confident. You will meet people that are willing to play with you once they understand your situation and limitations, and you will have some wonderful times.
