Swinging ,Or cheating? - - Swinging is having sex with people who are not your legal spouses. By definition, having sex with someone who is not your legal spouse is cheating. Therefore all swingers are cheaters, whether or not the spouse knows it. Now, throw that out the window, and label everyone who swings, as cheaters, but ONLY if their spouse does not participate. Don\'t bother to find out if he or she knows, approves, or even suggested it themselves. Having said that, I am still totally amazed that there are so many narrow-minded folks in this lifestyle. Yes, I completely agree that EVERYONE should know what is going on. I completely DISAGREE that those who play without their spouse\'s participation are automatically defiend as cheaters. I cannot speak for anyone else, but the fact remains, I don\'t do a thing without my spouse knowing about it. That includes participation in video chat (which she comes to very frequently, just ask anyone who is a regular), e-mailing or chatting with others, meeting, hanging out, or even adult play. If people bothered to get to know me, they would know that. But they knee-jerk and completely eliminate great people like me from their lives, just because they didn\'t bother to look before their leap to label. If they want to shut me out because I am married and my wife doesn\'t participate, they should go ahead and exercise their right to do so. It doesn\'t bother me a bit. They are perfectly entitled to do so, and I applaud them for that choice. But they are not allowed to jump to the conclusion that I am \"cheating\" because she doesn\'t play. That\'s grade-school-playground namecalling, slanderous, and beyond immature. If you don\'t know the circumstances, then you don\'t have the right to go around labeling everyone else. Whoever you are.

San Diego Visit? - Any swing clubs people can recommend in San Diego? - IT has been a while since i posted on here or was active on the site but I am heading to San Diego for a week or so and checking to see if anyone knows of a good place to go to for swinging activities in San Diego area? Whether regular bars/clubs that are populated by swingers or swing clubs or groups...hope to get some help thanks! Jay

Were young but give us a chance!!! - - I notice that you two signed up just about two weeks ago? I would say first off to give it time. Trust and friendships within the swinging community often takes time and cultivating. It is a large and close-knit community...which means that the more people that you meet, you will meet their friends and get more peeps in your "swinging network". Only being on this site for 2 weeks means that your exposure to the social side of the community has been VERY limited. To compound that, you're legally underage for the types of activities (drinking) and venues that many of these activities occur. Be patient, and look for the other ways to meet people on here. The chat room is always a good start, there is a good variety of swingers from all age groups and social statuses that are there. Being active (in a POSITIVE, not argumentative way...we all know who we are) on the Forum threads is another way to get yourselves better known. What I would NOT do, however...is whine that you're not getting any chances given to you. That arguement is certainly not unique to the younger crowd here, as many of the older people can complain that they're not given a chance either due to their age, gray hair...whatever. Trust me...you don't want a reputation for being a complainer. Time & patience.... ~J~

adult theaters - -
It seems hard to believe because of how available it is on the internet, but it is illegal to make or distribute actual porn in Utah.
So could we open a virtual theater with 3 dimensional anime porn? Seriously there used to be a couple of theaters in downtown Salt Lake City. If I remember it correctly the way the law was written it was the projectionist was who got arrested if the porn crossed the established lines of decency written in the law. Misdemeanor charges. The projectionist would occasionally be arrested bailed out and a fine would be paid. They had a few projectionist that had records that were willing to do the job because they were paid wages that were like 5 times what a projectionist normally gets paid. In the end the investigators were able to discover that the owners of the theaters were using the income from the theaters to subsidize totally legitimate businesses they also owned which resulted in racketeering charges which are a felony and directed at the owners. That was the end of pornographic theaters in Salt Lake City. The internet probably would have put them all out of business anyway. It seems that I remember that there was also was a well known and very successful modeling and acting booking agency that also sometimes pimped out really stunningly attractive women and some men too to wealthy business people visiting Salt Lake City. This agency had a big legitimate book of business and just sort of disappeared over night due to racketeering charges involving money for sex being deposited into bank accounts of the agency. So maybe any money earned by anyone, event and party organizers included that can be tied to the lifestyle should be kept separate from any other business they might own just in case the ultra conservative side of our city ever decides to find some leverage to try and shut down swingers events. Anyone that has been an adult for over three decades living here can see that the culture that apposes the near theocracy that existed here for so long is much larger and has more influence and control than was the case not so long ago. Salt Lake is home to some of the most conservative minded and liberal minded people in the west when in comes to the subject of sex.

need advice on getting the wife interested in the lifestyle - advice needed - Well If i did read it wrong and I dont feel I did. And she is Interested in thinking about joining you in the lifestyle, then maybe Take her to a couple of The Meet and Greets at Habits, Its a Open Bar (not everyone there are swingers) and let her meet some of the other couples and she how she feels about it. This is something She needs to want to do, No do it becouse your into it. This is also something i feel you and Her Should not jump into, maybe meet and hang out with other couples. But never think about doing anything untell she is the one that shows the intrest. Take it slow, Take your Time and always let her tell you what she wants to do. Thumper

Interracial Couple in the Lifestyle. - Why are we treated as Outsiders - It's a funny thing that something as passionate and erotic as the swingers Lifestyle have a dent in it's armor. What We mean is being judge by the Color of your Skin and Not the content of your Character. There are a lot of wonderful people in the world from all walks of life, we should want to learn more and except people for who they are. It's a harsh reality being an Interracial Couple, when one of you are wanted and the other is not Due to there Ethic Status. Let's be honest that sucks, no one likes being Judge. We just don't think it has any place being in the lifestyle we consider so wonderful. US2FOR2

The unbearable burden of proof. - Congratulations! You have an opinion. Why does everybody else have to agree with it? - Well, this certainly seems like a 'diverted extension' to me. But, since you did ask (and publicly), here goes: People often tell others what they've done, to demonstrate that they have a certain amount of experience doing it. Simple enough. And, in remarkable contrast to your opinion, it's not necessarily to sound intelligent or to give credence to an outrageous postulations. Sometimes they actually know what they're talking about. Unfortunately, you can't assume that just because someone talks about their experience, they really don't know anything. As to your comment concerning years of experience...(and you immediately zero in on computers...hmmm...wonder what that's about?) 1. As T4REAL capably put it, the kid from college has 'book smarts', but often lacks the real-world experience to make that training useful. Give me the vet every time - and if you listen, you'll find many who will echo that. Probably a majority. Why? Because the vet's not only seen more real problems, but they've been involved in more real answers. I recall a quote along the lines of "The biggest fault of youth is inexperience". While the young grad *cannot* have the benefit of experience the vet does, it *is* possible the vet can have the experience and the (recent) academic exposure, as well. 2. My mom - an educator herself, with degrees in all sorts of stuff, told me once, "I went to college to learn what I didn't know". (Little play on words, there - she was a languistics teacher). What she meant was that, beyond high school is another type of learning - broad and still detailed. You really begin to realize how little you actually know about things when you're exposed to further education. You gain an advanced perspective, which in turn makes you realize you know diddly, in the grand scheme of things. (Happy Mother's Day, Mom) 3. "Any more than 5 years of doing something allows a person sufficient enough time to become calcified into a single-mindedness that allows the world to pass you by anonymously." Nice pile of words...but, sure - it does 'allow...sufficient time' - but, again, it doesn't guarantee anything. If a person does anything for *any* length of time, and doesn't work to keep current, they will fall behind what is current. But you have little way of knowing how current people are, just based on some post on an Internet swingers site. Five years of doing something doesn't automatically mean someone's fallen behind, either. And the 62.5% of all statistics you cite? Well, doesn't that mean 37.5% are completely legit? (No matter the fictitious percentage *you* make your point with, it's complement will always oppose you). Again, trouble here is you have no way of knowing whether a given citation is accurate or not - but you can't just assume they're all wrong. Again, as in our recent discussion elsewhere - I put my opinion out there, and I have no problem letting others read and decide for themselves. Some people (*ahem*) seem so interested in contradicting others, they get far, far away from the matter at hand. You may find it interesting to know, I'm not really formally educated much beyond high school and military technical training; I hold no degrees, and very few certifications, proper. What I know about PC's I've learned almost entirely on my own. To be honest, I'd prefer a guy who learned because he really had passion enough to learn on his own. This is one reason I have so many machines at home...it's a hobby, but it's also a huge test bed; a training apparatus. And I've been training for over 25 years (sorry, I'm sure you hate me saying that). On the other hand, with no more education and certificates than I have, I did actually run a reasonably successful business for a while. I've managed to support my family at a level *well* beyond the means you'd expect from my education alone. So, it's possible that I do know what I'm talking about, although I don't expect you'll ever acknowledge that. It's OK, I don't really require your acknowledgement. I do realize I'm making a few assumptions here myself. While this isn't necessarily about me, it damn sure smacks of it; not at all subtle of you. Still, I've tried to indulge you, without attacking you or being insulting. I hope you learn what there is to know from the responses to your post. And T4real - excellent points!

kids and pets - why - *Yawn*....oh...is this topic still being discuessed? I thought we moved on to the next one already.... Regardless of anyone's personal feelings on the matter, Swingular has policies in place regarding pics. If it states no kids...well then...there should be no kids. It's kind of a no-brainer folks. Relative legality and other gobbeltygook is pure nonesense. It's part of the rules of the site we all agree to by signing up. If you don't like pics of pets...simply browse past them. If you don't like pics of messy houses or looking at the relative slob-like nature of your fellow swingers...simply browse past them. It's that simple. Now quit your damned whining and party!
