Did you know? - Did you know? - We are in Salt Lake part time but our experiences there have led us to believe swingers here are much more receptive to actually meeting up and acting on being swingers. It seems to quite often be the case that if you actually LOOK hard enough for attractive qualities in other people you are apt to find them. At least one or two qualities! LOL We've almost never encountered another couple where one of us was attracted to one of them and their partner was completely unattractive. I guess if someone is reasonably attractive they're pretty unlikely to end up with someone who isn't attractive at all. But we've also found (and yes, we're guilty of this sometimes as well) that many people sort of get in their own way, so to speak, when it comes to looking for people to play with and, often, almost look for reasons NOT to play and, in effect, end up talking themselves out of playing. When we first started in the lifestyle it was FAR more labor-intensive (no internet swingsites) to look for other couples and there were far fewer swingers as well so if you were extremely picky you pretty much didn't ever actually end up playing. By the time most people jumped through all the hoops you had to jump thru to find other couples most people were pretty predisposed to playing, unless they were really turned off for some reason. Now, it seems like there are just so many options, literally right at our fingertips, that perhaps it's just a little too easy to keep swiping left...always looking for the bigger, better deal. Again, don't fuck someone you really don't want to fuck but also, maybe, consider digging just a little deeper and see if you can't find something compelling about a person that could lead to a really great time in bed. It looks like the people on it are all going to be 20 or 30 something, and pretty darned physically attractive. Great TV marketing strategy, I suppose. Get people to tune in to see great looking people who engage in "forbidden" sex. Titillate the viewing populace. But NOT anything even close to a representation of the people in the lifestyle. Sure there are people as young as in their twenties in it. I was in bed with one a few weeks ago (yes, miracles do happen, folks. Even with old codgers like me [em]Emo_100[/em] ). But not only is the lifestyle not made up entirely of really hot looking people in their 20s and 30s, they aren't even a really large chunk of it. The largest single age group, based on what I've seen at events and parties, as well as on the site, are in their 40s. And far from all being fit, slim, and very sexy in a traditional sense, they are mostly average. In other words, the majority of us are normal people. And until the society as a whole starts seeing swingers as just normal folks, swinging isn't ever going to be well accepted. I also have a suspicion that the show is going to present swinging as a bunch of people getting together then all pairing off randomly with whoever. In other words, the view of swinging that vanilla society already seems to have. I really doubt that this show is going to do anything good for the lifestyle, mainly because I expect it to present a warped view of the reality of swinging. ~ Terry.

Live and let live!!![/quote] Okay speaking plainly, many of us have been Mormons. Reading your comment I must say I do feel guilty, because I in fact do have a lot of Mormon friends. I really do not want to offend them. Very, very few people in most religions believe all the doctrine that their religion teaches. People are all individuals. I should not assume that all swingers, are not believers. Several people in this and other threads have mentioned that a lot Mormons, or Utahans, are good looking people. Hence the jokes about how hot they are. The pictures we are in where we are dressed up, and could pass for temple attendees, we look pretty darn good, better than we normally do! My out of state friends and family always, always, always mention it, when they visit. Mormons are quite often really good looking people. They are frequently very friendly people. We are Irish and visit Ireland from time to time, and in the Republic of Ireland, most everyone there knows quite a bit about Catholicism. There are a few people who are really angry at the Catholic Church there, much like here, but there are way more who albeit are no longer believers, still sort of hold something about their experiences close to their hearts. The kidding around is perhaps part of the way people cope with the loss of their religious beliefs, and sometimes some of their family and friends, once they announce they are no longer believers.
