Rob, the founder of "Swingular" seperated from the co-founder of the original site. He moved to Utah and began marketing it here. That is why it is more prevelant in the two states. Polygamy in the local history has nothing to do with the amount of swingers on this site. It has everything to do with localized marketing efforts. The only people involved in polygamy in Utah are now mainly extreme minority offshoots of the LDS religion, like the FLDS or "Fundementalist Latter Day Saints" Church. They are shunned by the mainstream LDS church. They are the very reason many people today, still attach the word "polygamy" with mormons. I too, once presumed such things about them. After living amongst the mainstream members, I was quickly educated. I wasn't slamming you, it's just that we have a lot of individuals here that would rather presume or assume than take the time to research. It's kinda like people thinking most Texans are ignorant racist rednecks. While there will always be those that are true to the stereotype, it hardly means we should make such presumptions about the majority, when visiting. Hell they still hold KKK rallies in the south. There are lots of pitchforks and torches on swingular LOL!

If you are just here on the forums yes some can seem rude but it is just like text messaging and emails, no emotion, you dont see the facial expressions behind the comment. Make it a point to attend as many meetings and functions as you can. Keep in mind that some poly people (some) turn their nose up at the idea of swinging, just as many swinging people turn their nose up at poly. Also don't be deterred if you start attending poly meetings and don't see the kind of people you normally hang out with, your tribe, so to speak. The benefit isn't finding your people as it is in meeting people with lots of experience with poly-relationships. You can learn from anyone who has been where you are heading.
Making up your own rules is great, so long as they work for you and your family.
Here in Utah there are circulating groups. We have swingers, poly, kinky, burners and in each group there are the core members (hardcore) and then there are those of us that circulate among them all. So, when attending meetings be aware that one day their might be four people, the next 40. Also that the opinions of the core members may not be representative of the life you three have created for yourselves and don't let anyone sway you from what you know works for you.

Utah moms (Mormon) TikTok drama - - My wife and I met a couple in this friend group last year. I wouldn’t consider them swingers, as their soft swap version was mostly swimming/hot tubbing naked with the occasional “dare” kiss that would turn into making out in front of everyone else. I’ve heard of some couples sleeping around with others but I think that was more of a cheating situation than an open relationship.

RECOGNIZING OTHER SWINGERS - Outside of clubs & parties. - The wrist bands are for swingers at resorts and parties to know what each person or couple is into at a glance.. They use to do it at HEDO and I've heard of a few cruises that did it as well... We have talked about doing this for parties at a nudist resort so all swingers will know who the other swingers are. Some nudists get pissed if you chat swing with them...
I have googled it and see it both ways... I have also heard that LOWES and DEPOT sell flags with Pineapples on them and some swingers use these as markers for house parties....
I somehow, cannot see walking up to someone at the grocery store and asking if they swing!! The pineapple I think is a very good idea...
