It is a place for couples only! Its a place where one can wear a swim suit to the pool or hot tubs, or take them off and be naked. You can be naked anywhere but in the dinning area. Its all inclusive with all the alcohol you desire. The food is pretty good (far better than most all inclusive places). Its very liberal and that is why Desire Pearl and Desire Rivera Maya is the go to places for those in the lifestyle.
Yes, there is swinging going on in the playrooms and in the cabanas by the hot tubs in the late afternoons and after the disco at nights. The people are from all over the world and it is rare to find the "Utah judgmental attitudes there. Most everyone is there to relax, drink, meet new people and yes, to enjoy their sexual desires.
Temptations Cancun lends to topless only and you will get all sorts of young couples attempting to talk their partners into trying the lifestyle and most fail miserably. So it is loud and most are not lifestyle with the accommodations not as good. Desire RM is our favorite and we have been to all of them including Jamaica and the Cabo resorts. Desire Rm is fun, a party of adults and just more free spirited. people "play" here more than others and is the sister resort to Pearl. Desire Pearl has better rooms but not by much. The food is similar and we tend to find half are nudists, not swingers. So you never know if you are hitting it off with a couple that ends in naked fun, or hitting a couple that mows their lawn naked. Don't get us wrong, we love Desire Pearl (it is fabulous).
This is why we go to the Desire resorts at least once a year just to cut loose for a week of debauchery and laughs.

We feel you handled the situation in " high road" fashion, and certainly gain our respect for having done so. To be there to back your wife up if "no" wasn't accepted, is not only proper, but is in fact the only way swinging can matain any civilized credability.
We also agree that violence is the absolute last option to chose. Going to the host of the party as was stated already is a very good idea.
We have been to several really large parties that were totally open to singles, and only one time was there ever a problem. The hosts were informed, and the violater was asked to leave by a group of the men ( host included), and that was the end of it.
It would be unfortunate if this one incident were to make you swear off all clubs or parties as they can be alot of fun in a totally different way than meeting a couple or a small dinner party can be ( although we certainly could understand you being skeptical about it).

what is the protocol for cheating spouses?? - - We think you should tell all your friends in the lifestyle, what happened, who he is and how to identify his profile. You do not need to be mean or judgmental about it but certainly your friends have the right to know the truth about this man. Married people male or female hooking up with swingers under false pretenses suggesting they are single is an ongoing problem and a little help in identifying cheaters within the community is always appreciated. We think you should be honest with his wife about what happened but do not give her any more personal information about yourselves than necessary. Her husband was who violate an agreement with her. You were duped into meeting him under false pretenses. The betrayal is all his. You do not know her or how she will react or if she may try and exact some idea of vengeance upon you, as if that would be fair or accomplish any good thing whatsoever. People do crazy things.
We sympathize with you. Your agreement as a couple to pursue this adventure together should have never been violated in such a way by this man. His actions are so very selfish.

Well I'm certainly not going to vilify a man for enjoying a normal, healthy sexual outlet. On closer inspection I don't think that's Gizmo after all.
