Swinging versus poly/open - - I'm speculating here, but it seems the millennial generation as a whole is more open to an open/poly relationship, and it naturally is bleeding into Swingular as more and more younger/ish couples sign up.
We started out with very strict rules about emotions for others, ect. Now, we find ourselves on a spectrum where we still occasionally love the "wham bam, thank you mam" aspects of swinging (what were their names again...😁?), but after several years of that, we are now far more interested in developing relationships with the people we meet. Sometimes that means we have really good friends with benefits, however neither of us are closed to the possibility of dating the right person.
And I don't believe dating others leads to divorce, however not being honest and failing to communicate certainly does. And that applies to swingers and monagamous couples alike.
Sturgis 2014 - The wife and I are wanting to know where the swingers play @ Sturgis - Glencoe is definitely the place to go! Last year there was a really fun group and some great hosts! Black Ring - Who has theirs and how have they caught on? - We both have black rings and have worn them in public and to places like Habits, etc.. And we've done this off and on for well over 10 years (when we first became aware of what seems to be more or less a swinging urban legend). To date we have NEVER been approached by another couple and asked if we were swingers or anything close to it. Maybe we're just fugly and nobody wants to fuck us but the whole black ring thing is a big FAIL IMHO. Even if it ever did catch on it probably wouldn't take more than a few days to a few weeks for it to get out on social media, etc., and everyone would be looking for swingers with black rings in public (not unlike times we've gone to takeovers and had to wear wrist bands and it quickly got out to hotel staff, other guests, etc. that people wearing wrist bands were there for a swinger event). Most people (not all) involved in swinging really don't want their vanilla friends, family or coworkers...or even strangers to know they're swingers. Most vanillas pretty much classify swingers as worse people than Ashley Madison cheaters and used car salesmen. Much easier in our opinion to "meet" people at dedicated meet and greets or parties or here and other places online than to hope for serendipitous encounters out in public.
New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - The Moose is still alive and well! We talked with the new man that is now running the place last Friday night when we were there, and he has some great ideas to make the Moose better than ever! Here's a little info that we learned about the new changes, and we want to share it with everyone.:
* Friday's are now Lifestyle night. It use to be "Gay Night" (as it was always referred as), and the Lifestyle just shared the club with them. It is still open to the public; however, they are trying to get the Lifestyle to take over Friday's.
* Upstairs will still be reserved for Lifestyle guests, and will still require a wristband for access. There will be a bartender upstairs.
* The price to get in is $5.00 for Lifestyle members per person. This includes a free shot ticket and access to the upstairs. YOU MUST SPECIFY THAT YOU ARE WITH THE LIFESTYLE GROUP when paying; otherwise, you'll have to pay the $10.00 per person price that the general public will have to pay to get in.
* The dance floor will still be for everyone.
* Once a month they will have a live band on Friday nights. This will begin on this Friday night, April 13, 2018. The band this week is CHANGING LANES, and is sure to be a great performance and lots of fun! You can Google them to get an idea of their music.
* When the live band is done, there will still be a DJ playing music so the dancing and fun can continue. There will be a live DJ every week.
* One of the biggest complaints about the Moose in the past has been that it's too loud to socialize. There will be a sound man that will now control the volume of the music upstairs so that we can all talk and meet new people and actually be able to hear what each other are saying. It will still be loud enough to enjoy and dance to, so don't worry about losing the music vibe that pumps us all up! Please note, when the live band is playing, they control the volume, not the Moose personnel.
So good things are coming for the Moose Lounge, and it's up to US to make it a success! Let's get out and have some fun together this Friday night...and Every Friday night!
There are not a lot of options for the lifestyle in Utah. We can make this club our own and finally have a decent place to hang out.
Swingers Vacation Spots - Help us - We've been to Desire Resort (20min. south of Cancun) and it is a really nice couples-only resort that caters to swingers and nudists. The sexual atmosphere is really open and great fun in terms of watching, being watched, and hook ups. They have a good web site too.
Going to Vegas, Where do we need to be? - - There is a new pool party in Vegas. Couples only. Run by some swingers. Don't know any details yet but are probably going to check it out when we're down there in 3 weeks. If anyone wants details I'll see if I can find the link.
