Polyamory - polyanorous couples. -
By general definition all swingers are polyamorous. Polyamory (from Greek ???? [poly, meaning many or several] and Latin amor [love]) is the practice, desire, or acceptance of having more than one intimate relationship at a time with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. Polyamory is a less specific term than polygamy, the practice or condition of having more than one spouse. The majority of polygamous cultures are traditionally polygynous, where one husband has multiple wives. Polyandrous societies, in which one wife has multiple husbands, are less common but do exist. Marriage is not a requirement in polyamorous relationships.
That is the wikipedia definition and is not correct.

Why swingers are happier. - - How can that place with a mouse, seven dwarfs and a monorail claim to be the happiest place on earth without sex or booze and all those kids?

Single male in this lifestyle.. - I have questions for couples and single females. -
why is it that girls and couples look for girls more than guys?
So you're asking why do swingers prefer MFF instead of MMF? Because most women in the life-style are bi-sexual to varying degrees, and most men are not. Not even a little bit. Thus, MFF becomes the "third wheel" combination that most swinger couples can enjoy together. (Versus MMF, which is really more just about pleasing the female). Why is is to hard for a single-male to find a couple to play with? Well, see above.. most couples don't want MMF... and those that DO want MMF have about 10,000 of you to choose from. Supply and demand. This isn't that complex.

Christain Swingers? - - I think overall Religion has a poor track record when it comes to morallity. That is one of the reasons there are so many divisions in christianity. Often, when someone wants to justify their veiw on an issue they use religious interpitation to back it, some have even started new religions or branches of their previos religion to accomidate their position. Wars have been fought , people persecuted, tortured and put to death in the name of religion, and it still occurs on this very day. I remember a statement, said to be made by Jesus Christ: "He who has not sinned cast the first stone". I think the person about to be stoned was accused of adultry. One of his close followers and friends was a prostitute. He went to the temple to tell the holier than thou, they were missing the point, and if I recall he was said to have given his sermons in the streets, and roads to anyone who wanted to listen. Karl Marx (I do not believe in Communism) refered to religion as the "opium of the people". I think he may have been on to something. I had 12yrs of religious study in Catholic grade & high school and I think rather than brain washing me it opened my eyes up to the contradictions in religion. I think you have to step away from religion to be really objective, when looking at the morality of any issue. I feel a persons faith and beliefs are a personal and individual thing. Organized religion can often pollute your judgement, if you let it. If you can step away from it and look objectively at your choices in life, you may also find there is still room for you to step back in, and find a place for yourself in its boundries, also. I think like COTA has experienced, religion has let a lot of us down in one way or another. It is up to each of us to make up our own minds, when it comes to matters of faith and morality. Personally I don't think religion should cast stones.

Extramarital Affairs and the Lifestyle - Where do you stand? - **Bottom line here is can we just stop all the finger pointing, labeling, and judging? Morals are a personal thing and eveyone is entitled to theirs and I\'m of the mind set...don\'t force yours down my throat and I won\'t force mind down yours.** Wrong. No one is interested in passing judgement here. Simply stating the facts as they are. Also, I think that some of us have returned to the cheating vs swingnig morality issue that we agreed earlier was NOT the intended direction this thread was going in. The issue IS a moral one, as someone pointed out. However it isnt whether or not CHEATING is the same as SWINGING. Since the thread has been joined by so many other now (AND I THANK YOU GUYS FOR STEPPING UP AND SHARING!) several differing points of view have emerged. Some \"vanilla\" or traditional people attempt to convince their mates to swing (MALE OR FEMALE) and for whatever eason that partner says NO. That person can not accept this answer for whatever reason, and decides it is worth risking everything they hold dear to swing. We have explored that. On the other hand, other \"vanilla\" people HAVE NEVER, AND WOULD NEVER EVEN ATTEMPT TO BROACH THE SUBJECT TO THEIR MATES. For fear of hearing NO, for fear of divorce...whatever...These same people, as one of our single gentleman pointed out...would look down upon us and label us sinners for being \"SWINGERS\" and all that they quite incorrectly feel that entails, and then in the same breath, go out and CHEAT on their mates. (I know one where she cheated on her husband with the pasteur of their church!) Cheating is actually more accpetable than swinging to a LOT of \"vanilla\" people. To share their mate, agree on the format, and practice an open dialogue about it is unthinkable. To cheat is not. >>TO ADDRESS THE CHEATING SWINGER ISSUE AGAIN<< This was never meant to single out you single guys out there, and I am not going to defend this post, or our stand on it. If you have read our profile, you should understand that we date single men and women almost exclusively! We just prefer to know the TRUTH about your situation, and beleive it or not, in this lifestyle...that is a tall order. As someone else said, that is a choice each of you has to make. We would prefer to know the truth about your situation so that we can decide to say NO for fear of creating hurt feelings and contributing to the end of a relationship that we are not even a part of. My mind will not allow me to justify what my heart knows to be just plain wrong. Luvbugs! ;)

This one time at Swingers Camp - Discussion about N by N camp out - Like every year they did a class top notch job. Thanks Sue Dre and Lang and all the other people that pulled together and made this a great campout. We will be there again next year for sure. Hope all the new people we met stays in touch and all the old friends do too. Thanks again everyone. Dave and Jackie

Why so much hate in the swingers world... - - Calling someone a "nigger" is the texbook racism.

swingtown - a new show on cbs - we liked it and record it on DVR. It all looks pretty much "period" for the times. My only thought is: I wonder how many people will watch that and think they can be swingers?
