Vegas Baby! - Clubs - Purrfect Parties is definitely a Swingers group. We have met so many people in Vegas and that are just passing through from other cities that are in the lifestyle. The get together at the Hard Rock is just to break the ice but you can end up leaving with your wildest fantasy. We live here in Vegas and that has been the best place to meet people. We are on Lifestyle Lounge since Swingular doesn't seem to be big in Vegas. We have also done the Green Door but I wasn't that impressed and there were a lot of single. creepy males. Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - That would be a general definition. However, sometimes the devil is in the details. With that definition, poly couples would be termed in the same group as swingers under the banner of libertine. So would soft swingers, etc, etc. We feel the definitions are kinda important because it causes awkwardness and waste of time if we don't know what we are getting into. For instance, if we talk and you are soft swingers, we now know we won't get anywhere fast because we are not into soft swinging. You, OTOH, will not have the awkward moment where we get together and at the last minute, we do something you don't like. IMO the labels help us filter out what we want from what we don't want.

Swingers - a couples only lifestyle? - Are singles considered to be swingers? - T4REAL69 is right on target in giving the current meaning of the term "swinger". SWMTCPL you used two little words in your original post that opened this thread, "to us". Those two little words accommodate for a lot of variation in this lifestyle. When you say "to us" you are telling everyone how you fit in the big picture of what the swinger lifestyle is. If you read another persons profile or listen to what the have to say as to what their desires and interest are, you know what this lifestyle means to them. If we are open minded enough to understand this, and don't try to force our beliefs on others, who have view's that differ from ours, we are genuine swingers. The most basic rule in swinging is NO MEANS NO. If you are confronted by someone who does not suit your desires, be it because of their looks, gender or the activity, you can always say NO, and go your own way in this lifestyle.
New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - We would attend as well about 2x a month or so. The ones we've been to in Las Vegas were fun but one was dirty and nasty. I would think a good dance area along with a pool table and seating area along with play rooms would be great. A big community type play room as well as individual play rooms or a room with windows would be fun. The main thing is keeping it clean! There's nothing worse than going into a dirty, disgusting play area.
Church Swingers, are they out there? - - I myself, believe that things such as religion (or spiritualality if you prefer) and sexuallity are a personal thing. I think the comments made by SHRED sum it up rather nicely. Having studied religion for 12 years in the catholic school system it seems that most of the organized religions I have any knowledge of, have lost the real point made in the New Testament anyway. It seems often that what is being preached is not what is being practiced or in some cases things have been taken out of context to stress some point of faith or morallity in a distorted way. I personally can not believe that God would want us to live our lives this way. I have to agree with those who say "live and let live" or "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". That seems to be the message I got out of all that religious instruction, but not necessarily what I saw being practiced.
To those who feel they can balance religious practice with this lifestyle, I would say do so if it works for you. It is your personal choice. and thats the way it should be.
