If you read another persons profile or listen to what the have to say as to what their desires and interest are, you know what this lifestyle means to them. If we are open minded enough to understand this, and don't try to force our beliefs on others, who have view's that differ from ours, we are genuine swingers. The most basic rule in swinging is NO MEANS NO. If you are confronted by someone who does not suit your desires, be it because of their looks, gender or the activity, you can always say NO, and go your own way in this lifestyle.
Finding a balance - Swinging and Religion - - I do think that the Christian church has it wrong regarding non-adulterous sex. After all Jesus said that the law was made up of love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. That says nothing about voluntary, non-cheating sex.

Calling all losers! - LS and club scene - We used to go to coffee group that was comprised of people that were either swingers or poly or somewhere in between. It was fun! Lots of great conversations. We still know quite a few of the people that went. Yes people made sexual connections. We did! It worked because it was consistently held at the same time and same place every week. It was really invitation by word of mouth that got it started and kept in going for quite sometime. Friends inviting friends meeting new friends. Some weeks there were twenty people and some weeks there were four. Most weeks there were about ten. People move away and or their schedules change and eventually the group just sort of ended. We know it went on for about six months after our schedules caused us to rarely be able to go. It seems to us that if it is consistent and for people that live in the same general location it is more likely to work longer term.

Florida does seem to be the swinging mecca of the US. We have lived in Texas, California, and Florida and have have noted that South Florida (which should lose any such contest based on the population count alone) boasts 3 of the worlds best swingers clubs; atleast by NASCA's tally.
We are fairly good friends with the owners of two of the other popular paid sites, and they are based in Florida, so the Floridian member count is very high.
We helped to launch one in 2003 (a new swingers website) and it was 100% Floridian until we moved up here to Maryland, bringing the gospel of the (adult) "private adventure" with us. Our repeated attempts to convert the local natives to morally casual, sexually enlightened beings have met with limited success. (There are far more churches here than 7-11's, so I fear it will be a long and hard fought battle.)
