Just watched a tom and bunny YouTube video about stereotypical swinger signs on my way into work today and seen this thread. But the items you and others described are thingd that people/websites came up with as a way to make it easier to find other swinger couples in public. Though most of these are unsubstantiated, it's still a fun topic nonetheless. And kik, though I'm not an expert for we're still quite new as well, I believe is a chat service (like messenger). But I too, would like some more info on kik.
Now, a question I have is, why don't people ever utilize the Swingular chat? Vegas Recommendations? - Where do you recommend we go in Vegas - Swing club wise that is. - We have attended, and can recommend, the weekly Purrfect LV parties. They take place in a club in the Mandalay Bay. There is a private bar but you are free to mingle in the main part of the club where you can identify other swingers by their wristbands (necessary to enter the private space). There is also an after-party for the adventurous. The events are extremely well organized and attract a mix of locals and out-of-towners.
real members? - - You've struck on an interesting topic. I call them cyber swingers. They are swinger wanna be's . They find the thought of swinging erotic and interesting but they don't have the balls to actually get involved in the lifestyle. They like to hide behind the safety of their computer screen. They'll exchange email with you as long as you're willing or dumb enough to keep writing them. They'll never actually meet you or anyone else. That would be way too personal and would force them to crawl out from behind the security of their computer. Or you ocasionally run into the single guy that has created this fictional "couple". It's all a big game for him. He's just there to collect photos or maybe trick someone into playing with him because his wifes is "unavailable " at the moment. Whatever their game they're all the same because they both violate the principles of honesty and trust that the lifestyle revolves on.
We get email all the time from couples that "have read your profile--think you guys are great and want to get to know you better". That generally sends off alarm bells for us. We'll respond and exchange an email or two. If the other couple doesn't have pics posted or pics of just one of them we ask for additional photos in the first email. Since we have good pics of both of us in our profile we never send any other pics other than those posted. If we get the "don't have any pics of him or he's camera shy or don't have a camera yet" or any one of the other lame excuses we've gotten over the past year or so--that's it--you're done as far as we're concerned. We'll give out our cell phone number right away and tell them to call us or give us theirs and we'll call them. We want to speak to both of them. If we can't because one's not there we'll call back at a more convenient time when we can talk to both of them. If everything seems ok during the conversation we'll make a date to meet at a convenient restaurant or club and take things from there. This seems to work well for us. It tends to weed out the "cyber swinger" right away.

We like to think that we're doing what makes both of us happy. If that makes us swingers or polyamorous, or whatever, then that's cool with us. Our label we give ourselves isn't important, nor do we care about it.
We beg to differ. That label is important from certain standpoints. Now, if you meet us and tell us you are a poly couple seeking a poly relationship, we can tell you it won't go far since that is not what we want. That way, you know it isn't going anywhere fast and so do we. No need to drag it out for a while and then "I thought you...." or "I got the impression.....". If I am looking for a certain type of relationship, isn't it better to know up front and not waste anybody's time and get hurt feelings?
St. Pete FL... Anyone out there!?!?!? - - Caliente can be a bit pricy, but the facilities are nice & lots of people go there. Some smaller nudie facilities are near by there as well. The crowd, the price & the facilities at each vary. Some will give you 1-day free passes to try them out. A good percentage of swingers live at or near several of these facilities.
For more casual spur-of-the-moment hooks ups, just try some of the bars in Ybor City. While you are there, also try to catch a meal at the Colombian. The food there is worth the trip if your other plans fall through.
