Facebook group - - I am an admin in a long-standing FB Swingers group for SouthEast Idaho and we're getting ready to close it down. It used to be there were privacy concerns where people who joined would risk exposing other members by sending friend requests to everybody but we were able to handle most of that by staying on top of things. Now, the FB rules and algorithm bots are going crazy. Posts from 2+ years ago are being randomly found and flagged. Posts from the admins are being flagged as well and we've been warned that if too many of these happen FB will shut the group down altogether. But this means two things; 1. the posts that make the page fun and free are all at risk of being auto flagged even though the group is private and 2. Even if a post is not flagged it's not truly private since the FB bots and possibly admins are scanning through everything that happens in every group. Really, the FB rule changes from 2 years ago make the group against their policy even by existing. The new rules read that a group cannot exist for the purpose of seeking or supporting the planning of any sexual activity.
Because of all this, our group has been migrating to MeWe and all official posts/events/polls are now hosted there. We'll also be deleting FB content that is likely to be flagged and closing down the group.

another club under fire - club in peoria - PEORIA -- City leaders in Peoria will soon consider an ordinance aimed at outlawing private swingers clubs where couples meet and swap partners.
The ordinance is aimed at a local business called Club 307. The club sits a couple of blocks from the Police Department and is reportedly a swingers club.
Mayor Jim Ardis told the (Peoria) Journal Star that the city doesn't have an ordinance preventing couples from paying to enter a club and swap partners. But he believes the city needs one.
City Councilman Eric Turner thinks many people are disgusted that Peoria has such a club.
Nobody answered a call to the phone number listed for the club on Friday, and there was no way to leave a message.
The council plans to consider the ordinance Tuesday.

Serious questions from a newbie.. - - It's never happened to us or anyone we know (that we know of) For many Swingers we trust only people in the lifestyle to know that we are Swingers, but still have to be cautious of who can gain that trust. NTAKTAGF legal counsel has informed us today that no communication has been heard from Swingular management by 1400 EST, Wednesday, Oct 24, 2007.
Sadly, the speech of a few Swingular members (and some suspected computer shenanigans), as well as the support of that speech by Swingular management has changed Swingular forever. The innocuous place on the internet that Swingular has enjoyed since its inception is now altered. The authorities are being notified.
If the legal action by the State of Florida materializes, it will have to be documented in every annual report that the parent company files. These reports are public documents available to anyone that desires to examine them. This will likely hinder the ability of Swingular to obtain capital, since such jeopardy must be disclosed.
It remains to be seen if the possibility of investigation by the Florida Secretary of State, the Florida U.S. Attorney, or the Internet Task Group will affect the numbers of current members that wish to remain or the inflow of new subscribers.
Today VanCott, Bagley, Cornwall and McCarthy began the process to officially request assistance from the Florida Secretary of State. This will take a little time. The gears of large institutions turn slowly .
To give the members an idea how serious this matter is, VBCM will encourage the Florida General Counsel to pierce the corporate veil. If successful, the executive officers of the company will be held PERSONALY liable for the conduct of the members that decided it would be good business to take the company on its present course. It will be dark times if this occurs.
In a sense, without the knowledge of the membership or maybe even management, the ship has been pointed toward the rocks by a mere handful of people.
If you are curious about these things, VBCM confidently predicted that no communication would be heard from Swingular management. They simply waited, sharpening their tools until they could be used.
While we believe this matter can still be resolved, we are positive that some of it is now irrevocable. How much further it goes, is now up to the general membership and the management. We encourage management to give VBCM a call.

Something to consider - No means no online too. - Our experience has been that they will be even MORE "pushy in the flesh". People who don't take rejection well, no matter how gently or politely it's offered, are a HUGE red flag to us and we will go far out of our way to avoid interacting with them in any way. In the past we grudgingly accepted a few offers to meet someone who repeatedly requested it despite our better judgement and almost immediately regretted it. We now simply ignore repeated Friend Requests from people who we've responded to previously or those who don't take the time to read our profile (okay at least skim it) and know what our preferences are. Almost invariably these repeated FR's are just spammed out anyway. We have yet to meet anyone in person at, say, a party and have them take issue with the fact that we declined a previous offer to meet or didn't respond to their repeated emails. Assholes are assholes no matter whether they're swingers or not.
