Our friends are so vanilla they have no idea what they stumbled across. It seems there really is no for sure sign until you start swapping or taking your clothes off.
Single females profile... "but not" - - At the risk of taking this even further off topic...I look at honesty the same way I look at sin (not that I believe in the concept of sin). Observing and talking to my neighbors I've discovered that the majority have little "pet" sins that they unilaterally seem to deem more important to avoid than other sins. Some of my neighbors would never consider shopping on Sunday but don't have a problem working in their yards in rather skimpy (for them) attire during the summer. Others seem adamant that church attendance is more than mandatory but have no problem hitting Chuck A Rama after church. Still others are devout temple goers yet have confided that they have a single glass of champagne on New Years Eve. Honesty, to me, appears very similar. I know many swingers who are less than honest about their weight and/or age yet really seem to get upset if someone is less than honest about their relationship status. Still others state they are disease and drug free and demand the same in others yet I've seen them with cold sores (yup that's HSV people) and regularly partake in pot or use illegally obtained erection enhancing drugs. Honesty, like many things in life, is apparently quite flexible and indeed seems to be a matter of perspective.

We have had our share of turn downs, but most we have found people just don't respond. From the few that actually took the time to respond I can't remember anyone doing more than saying no thanks.
We did save one response to a rejection letter we sent, the only one ever saved. She wrote an entire 1 page letter about how we should not judge books/people by the cover. It was quite a read. It was in response to one of our nicer rejecting letters where we politely pointed out we had no interest and suggested some swingers groups they might consider exploring (they were just started to explore the lifestyle). oh well.

Our hope is that we can be friends on a social basis with everyone we meet, but we all know that isnt very likely.... however, we love people that are in lifestyles. We enjoy the open minded attitude, some of the taboo humor, the opprotunity to let down some of our inhibitions and just have alot of fun. Thats something that we cant really do with the people we associate with at work, at home, in our neighborhood and our family members for various reasons. Lifestyles for us can range from open topic discussions to nude hot tubs, exhibitionism, dirty dancing, etc. Then there are those people we \"swing\" with. The people that we just love to get nasty and sexual with. Some of the friendships we have fit in both areas and some never cross the line.
We have found that the best relationships we have established can be both vertical and horizontal. We love to travel with our friends in lifestyles.. attend biker rallies, dine, dance, bowl or just sit around watching a good movie or playing any of several video games. We have invited many of these people to our home to bbq, meet the family, just hang out and pass some time.
