Before the Date

- Communicate with the other party about expectations
- Plan to meet in public first (dinner, drinks)
- Have a backup plan if chemistry isn't there
The Public Meet
Meeting in public first serves multiple purposes:
- Verifies everyone is who they say they are
- Lets you assess in-person chemistry
- Gives everyone an easy out if it's not clicking
- Allows for conversation about boundaries and interests
Don't rush from dinner to play. Take your time. The anticipation is part of the experience.
During Play
Go Slow
There's no rush. Start with soft play—kissing, touching—and let things escalate naturally. It's okay to pause, check in, or slow down.
Check In
Glance at your partner regularly. Use your agreed-upon signals. A quick "You okay?" or squeeze of the hand goes a long way.
It's Okay to Stop
At any point, for any reason, anyone can call a pause or stop. This is normal and respected. You don't owe anyone an explanation.
Common First-Time Challenges
Performance Anxiety
Very common, especially for men. Nerves can affect performance. This is normal and most experienced couples understand. Focus on enjoyment, not performance.
Unexpected Feelings
You might feel jealousy, excitement, overwhelm, or all three. This is normal. Check in with your partner and process together afterward.
Chemistry Mismatch
Sometimes one partner connects better with the other couple than their partner does. This is normal. Don't force it. You can always adjust or end gracefully.
After the Date
Talk to your partner—ideally that night or the next day. Share what you felt, what you enjoyed, what surprised you, and anything that was difficult. This processing is essential to maintaining your connection.
