OUCH - Anyone caught swinging bu family or friends? - Ran into Ms. Evil's cousin a few years ago. Were invited to an annual bbq non-swing party by a couple who WERE swingers but they said even though all vanilla sometimes the party could got quite steamy. I quickly alerted her and tried to dress her quickly and sneak her around the side of the house but she was just drunk enough to think it would be hilarious to say hi to her cousin. Turns out the cousin was a FWB of the hosts since high school and frequently joined them for sex. Of course the host instantly wanted to play kissing cousins with Ms. Evil and her cousin but she had sobered up enough by then to not want to go there. Still see the cousin every so often and though nothing was ever mentioned we all know...LOL

Do you only play with married couples? - - I'm going to add something that is taboo, the concept of a couple taking some time together as if to steal away from their partner where one or both are married and / or swingers. Isn't there some additional excitement to do so?

Swingers unnerve families at hotel - - This is always a concerne the lifestyle gets a bad wrap when the vanila public is ofended. On the other hand it was in a public place not a compleatly private resort or island getaway. Some comon sence is needed folks Now the group that put on that event wwhich We hear puts on a great party will most likly not get back in that Hotel it is a shame.
We all enjoy the fun the freadom but folks when we are in a shared space respect is always best for all.
Its not like the kids broke in to the party to see they aparently saw things in a public lobby area.
Its always a rock and a hard place.
When You're Shopping the Scene... - - Yeah, it'd be kinda cool if there actually WAS some kind of universal accessory or a signal that swingers could use to ID each other out in the vanilla world. And many have tried over the years but nothing has ever really caught on (back in the day, more than a few women wore necklaces of an apple with a bite out of it). And even if something DID actually catch on, and people wore it or whatever to identify other swingers, how long do you think it would take for the internet to make that fairly common knowledge?
We went to a swinger's convention in San Diego a number of years ago. The group had taken over the entire hotel and property and nobody was allowed in without a special wristband. It took about 4 hours for most of the hotel staff to learn what those wristbands meant. By the next day, people at nearby hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers had heard the news and as you passed people they would glance at you and then immediately glance down at your wrist. By that evening, most of the swingers were becoming so self-conscious that they were attempting to hide the wristbands beneath watches and bracelets. A few even pulled them off their wrists, if they were loose enough, and then put them back on when re-entering the property.
So, as nice as it would be to know for sure who other swingers are, it would kinda defeat the purpose of what many of us state in our profiles...that we're discreet. I suspect that about 10% (if even) would wear a black ring and about 90% wouldn't for fear of being outed as swingers. YMMV
