Wishbones - - We were invited to a meet and greet awhile back and hung around the lounge for several hours waiting for the couple who invited us. We found out later that most of the couples at the club were swingers, but as it was not a swinger's club, we were hesitant to approach perfect strangers and ask if they were swingers. There's little journalism here in Utah; it's about driving views whose numbers can be used for ad revenue. Titillation drives views. The curiosity gap ("You won't believe what happens next!") drives views. Informing is never considered necessary, only attracting views and/or clicks.

A caveat of this analysis is that it assumes a uniform distribution of swingers over the population of Utah. My guess is that this isn't the case but instead the density of swingers aligns with the density of more liberal thinkers. The net result is that it would put more swingers in the more densely populated areas with the highest density in SLC. That could easily swing the odds from 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 100. At least for those of us in SLC. For the poor suckers not SLC it could go the other way. :) That said, yes, I feel lucky enough to gamble basically nothing on 1 in 1,000 odds. ;)
