Where to go, what to do. - Non club activities - Is now a good time to bring up the wrist bands, distinctive rings, and necklaces of christmas past???? Sort of joking however the idea of non-club get meets has allot of potential, look at the summer campout for instance and once there was a bowling party in a closed venue that was a blast, we went to a swingers super bowl party that was awesome, Lava Hot Springs Takeover was too much fun so we definitely think there is room for different social activities. Now on to how to recognize peeps, good luck with that one as a community swingers seem to have been trying to figure that one out since long before we started recreating. Bob

So are you the gal who folks suspect? or the last person they c - Wish we could do polls on here??? - (Jamze) My parents know we are swingers. Ironically, they are even members of this site. No, we aren't true to the redneck stereotype! Lol (Jami) Her sister knows and wasn't surprised in the slightest but her parents do not know, at least not outright. If they did, they wouldnt ask or even talk about it. They tend to be silent Mormons who refuse to talk about sex with their kids. Oddly enough, we both agree. Talking to them about our sex life would be a little like talking to the pope about our being Pagan or something like that.

Staying a couple in the lifestyle - -
We've been at the LS nearly our entire 15 year marriage.. and we've always done things as a couple. Even way back when we were newly hatched swingers, we've always done it as a couple, and we've used our real names from the beginning, mostly because we're not creative enough to come up with fake names. Neither of us would make good actors, because we'd never respond to anything but our real names either šŸ¤£ We started this together with equal gusto with the idea of having fun together while having sex with other people at the same time, and with people we want to be friends with, and not exclusively in the bedroom either. Has it always worked out that way? No but that's okay. We've always still managed to have fun. Anything that we can experience with each other and share together has made it 100% worthwhile. The day we can't have fun doing this together is the day we go back to being sexually monogamous. Simple as that. But the REAL secret to why we're still happily married is that there is one thing we do separately, which may be problematic for some. It's scary sharing this, but here goes.... We don't share blankets. We can't do it. We've tried, and it doesn't work for us. We're both very needy in regards to tossing and turning and being wrapped in our own blankets. Plus, we've got our individual blanket needs that can't be met with exclusively with the same one.
We also draw the line at blankets because we saw how well that worked out for so many Native Americans back in the day. :-( But we do share other stuff because, well...sharing is caring. Looking for an attorney in the lifestyle - Question - I don't honestly think you would need an attorney. Most swingers clubs opperate as just a house that holds parties. Unless you are serving alcohol you shouldn't need license of any kind. at the door, you have donations, not entry fees. The only place i know that did have an operating license was in San Diego, THAD's. The owner had to file suite against the city and county to get the councilman and law enforcement to stop harrasing him. The city finaly gave him a license as a "Sexual Encounters Club" but not allowed to serve alcohol. Anyone that brought alcohol had to put it in a fridge and could take out their own alcohol anytime they wanted, but the helpers couldn't serve the alcohol.

What about the lifestyle didn't meet your expectations? - Preconceptions and disappointment. -
The biggest surprise for me has been how fun and friendly people in the LS generally are. We donā€™t play much as a couple in the Utah scene, but we have had great experiences at resorts. When I met a swinger couple for the first time at a resort, I was scared that all of the swingers in the group were going to jump me. I didnā€™t make eye contact, replied to their questions with short answers, and just generally avoided any conversations because I was afraid they would seduce me. šŸ˜ Now, a few years later, itā€™s easy to spot the newbies. They donā€™t make eye contact, avoid conversation, etc. I want to just straight up tell themā€”Iā€™m not going to rape you! I am just being friendly, lol! Another surprise to me was how women-lead the LS is. Most couples that we have met say they follow the lead of the woman. She chooses the who and the when.
THIS - we had no expectations, so we have not been disappointed. We did have a few ā€˜trainwrecksā€™ along the way - learning ā€˜the ropesā€™, mostly because Mr Sweet didnā€™t do his homework. Weā€™ve been surprised by how much we crave more and better relationships. This LS has exceeded anything we even fantasized about. Uber cool people - cherished friendships, just not enough time to meet so many great people ... or get naked with them (grin).

Moose Lounge Tonight, November 17th. - - We had to work. Too bad there isnā€™t a Saturday meeting place. Or we would have definitely been down for finding a couple(s) to mingle with. I mean we are swingers. And this is what we do. Any couples out there wanting to a more quiet, personal evening? Couple do dinner first to check chemistry. Then let nature do the test. šŸ˜›

Cuming out of the Swinger closet - -

After some time in the lifestyle, we have recently started to break the news to some of our close friends that we are swingers. We have great friends and so far they have taken the information really well. However, we have other friends that would never want to hear it, and god forbid if we ever told our family about it. What are everyone else's thoughts about coming out of the "Swinger" closet?
Have you even considered the implications for others that may want to stay "in the closet"? You may be committing "Swinger Suicide" as it were... your openness might be great for you, but other may want to stay behind the curtain and would not want to be outed by association.
This is an excellent point we hadn't thought about. Luckily, we've only shared with a couple VERY close friends. Plus, we keep our vanilla friends and swinger friends quite separate to avoid this situation.

Staypineapple?!?! - -
Iā€™ve stayed there, itā€™s nice.
Is it for swingers or just a normal hotel?
