A Place In The Lifestyle - - Which club, and where?
Sadly this sounds a lot like Caliente, which isn't a swingers club but does host swinger parties pretty much every Saturday night. It also sounds like Miami Velvet, which is mostly mainstream people who just want to say they are swingers and pretend.
And no, I don't think most of them have any place at actual lifestyle clubs. While some do say up front they are not swingers a much larger portion will claim to be swingers so they can be seen as more of the "in crowd".

Speaking of beds... - A question for our friends - The wife and I have a question to post - wherein we ask this: What bed is the best possible match for a pair of swingers that love to play?
This question comes about due to the recent demise of our bed. It appears that 2 years of AMAZING sex WILL destroy a low-quality mattress.
The most frustrating part of the low-end mattress is the fact that even when it's just the Mrs. and I, there is entirely too much noise from the box spring set and mattress together to enjoy a hard ride without fear of the kids hearing and being mortified.
Recommendations for soft, silent, and amazingly comfortable mattress sets will be greatly appreciated.

Wishbones - - I think this is a great idea! We once went to a local bar for a gathering of swingers (not a swingers bar), but didn't know the regular couples from the swingers and spent all night not approaching anyone and not being approached. (more than likely because they didn't know we were swingers). I could see this working, but the problem is we need to spread the word!

Friend collectors or swingers - - I too am guilty but only because most people don't like my body size, type, etc.
swinger ? or not. - - I am a widower. My late wife and I were swingers in the Seattle/Tacoma area for years. I remained a swinger when she died. A year ago I moved to be close to my grandkids and even though I would like to continue, the clubs out here don't want single men; even if they have 25 years experience in the lifestyle.
