Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - I agree on the difference between swinging and poly relationships. Both have their advantages at times, and their disadvantages. They are separate things, not to be intertwined, as some ppl do. Just like some swingers will do only certain things, I think that poly has many different ways to make it work, you just have to find the right ppl to be in that type of relatioship with. I would think it would be hard to combine swinging and a poly relationship, but then I have not really tried it. We figured we were out and away from our home town, which mind you at the time, was a small small town where everyone new everyone, and everyone's business. We mustard up the nerve to go in, and went on upstairs to the couples lounge. Just as I was getting comfortable with being there I look up only to see a girl and her husband from none only then our own home town. She new all my family, and to make it worse she lived right by my husband's brother, and I worked at the same store she did just in different departments. I was mortified the whole night long.....I just kept thinking....OMG, here we are, never done this b4, 400 miles from home, at the Red Rooster, and we run into someone that we freaken know. What are the odds??!! The worst part of it, she has the LOUDEST mouth in the whole valley so I just knew she was gonna tell everyone she seen me there at a swingers club. lol Thats just our luck! Has swinging changed? - - I've been trying to quantify the changes we're seeing but it's a little hard to pin down. For one thing, there seem to be quite a few people sticking their heads in and quickly retreating. Perhaps it's the ease of entry that allows "lookie Lous" to sort of check things out without really risking actually MEETING someone. LOL Another thing we've noticed is that there seem to be more people treating swinging as simply another way to hook up for NSA sex. Foreplay almost seems to have become perfunctory (if it happens at all) and there's more of a "down and dirty by nine thirty" attitude than there used to be.
