12 years ago Kelly and I went to our first swingers party. I was nervous and it was made worse by seeing my mothers boyfirend there with his wife. No my mother did not know he was married. Am I going to go tell on this asshole..... no. He told on me!! My mother came alll the way into to Salt Lake (which she has only done 3 times in the 13 years I have lived in Salt Lake) to give me a rash of shit over it and explained that was the reason her and my dad got a divorce (I assume he wanted to do it and she didn't). She said the Kelly and I were going to end up the same way. I of course told her it was a one time thing and we didn't plan on ever going to another party. I know how very small this world is, and it is very small, I like to think that I have kept it secret enough that the only people who knew were fellow swingers and the ones I have elected to tell.
Do my friends know?
Well I have a good friend who I have told yes.... but the operative word being GOOD friend... and her and her hubby have decided to give it a try. See if they like the extra spice. In a snese if I tell someone I end up promoting the lifestyle.... but it is very few that I have told.
Do co-workers know?

One should never. at any swinging event, be it a house party or a social, ever come to blows with anyone at that party. You can say something to the person who encroached on good manners but if that has no effect or the person wishes to become violent, go to the owners/people throwing the event and let them know... If the bad manners continue simply let the people throwing the event know that you are leaving and for what reason....If these people are not responsible you might wish to let others know that these events are unsupervised and good ediquite is not practiced there.... But let the people who threw the event what you think first... they may take care of the situation, knowint that their reputation is on the line....One does not have to be nasty either just let them know you think it is irresponsible to let that behavior continue...

With that being said we have been discriminated against due to our age.. Its not fun but everyone has their personal preferences we just have to accept it.. Personally we are more attracted to couples older than us.. But we have had many fun times with couples younger than us. I think it comes down to common interests and attitude. Bubulaplease - Sandy station? - We went to Sandy Station and were immediately approached by someone who knew we were swingers. I guess we just give off the " I'll fuck the shit out of you." vibe. That being said, we loved the club, the ambience,(except the music) but the people were super nice. Can't wait to go back.
