We've had multiple occasions where people in the wild have introduced themselves to us as a result of the rings. Mostly when we were traveling (outside of Utah). It's really not a big thing in Utah, yet... but outside of the state it's catching on relatively quickly.

... Also worth noting... it's mostly catching on among the younger, "under 50s" crowd. The old-timers seem content to poo-poo any idea, concept, or trend that doesn't fit their definition of 'swinging'. (Including at least one person on here who spends, literally, every waking minute of his day trolling the forums making negative / sarcastic comments to anyone and everyone).
If you don't like the trend, don't do it... but there's no reason to pretend it's not real.
ALSO... Black Ring Society is going to be changing its name to SwingRing (mobile app name is changing as well... I'll start a separate thread on that). We think it's a more inclusive, shorter, and less confusing name..

We love skiing the Alps!! No trip planned there this winter, but next winter is open.
Obviously, France is too far for a weekend trip that the OP posted. So,we recommend the Palm Springs area because there are three all nude lifestyle resorts to visit. You could stay at one resort and do day passes to the other two to make your comparisons. We have been talking to some couples about joining us to do exactly that this summer. Rooftop Resort - - We have been to Haulover a number of times. Swingers have their meetup areas near one of the life towers on the beach. But as mentioned there is not a swinger vibe there but all varieties of nudists. We have not done rooftop because of the mostly marginal reviews.

Cost is $35 per couple, $25 for single female and $45 for a single male. That price gets you a membership, entrance, free food at the bar, a room to play in and the ability to stay all night if needed. The Club has a dance floor, a bar, pool tables, a large playroom with leather sofas and a big screen TV, 16 rooms for play, a shower to clean up in or play in, a steam sauna, and a smoking area. Also there is a private entrance, lock boxes and lockers for personal items.
