How to identify yourself as a Swinger - - Yes, the black ring has been around for decades. Along with white rocks in your yard, flamingos, upside down pineapples, etc. I'm sure these things were helpful and even needed before the age of the internet. Nowadays, there are so many ways to contact and meet people, I can't imagine the need to randomly bump into to other swingers. In fact, the black ring is so well known, that that is the reason I DON'T wear one. I knew about it about 18 years ago, well before I ever considered swinging. So, it's useless for two reasons. 1. Not enough swingers use it to be of much use. 2. Too many non swingers know about it to be very practical. But with the sites and parties and events, there really isn't much need for it anyway. I'm glad I started all this recently with the internet to use. Just finished the three book Dark Nest trilogy and man am I impatient for more! We both loved X-Files. Nuff said right? We love SURFACE, STAR GATE SG-1, Atlantis, and my absolute fav right now has got to be GALACTICA!!! Talk about a completely perfect remake of a cult classic with a few twists on the characters! patriot or not - pledge - I've been reading, with some interest, the pontifications and protestations on the issues of this post. Some talk about morals some about duty some about apothy of people. I 'll ask: What is worals? Are swingers moral if society finds it averant? Is this country based on good Christian principals? Is this current government or administration trying to turn this country into a theocracy? This ccountry was founded so that everyone should have the right to live their life in their own manner, to be free to pursue whatever they wish so long as it does not interfere with others rights and liberties, and to be happy in those rights. As for religion, here I go again quoting the father of our constitution, Thomas Jefferson said; "I have recently been examining all known superstitions of the world, and do not find in our particular superstition (Christianity) one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology." God's be damned, government be damned as well and if we do nothing to oppose bad government we are not patriotic, we are fools who will watch our country drown in it's own bile.. We can talk forever about what is and is not good but until we live what is good and moral, (morality is that principle which basically says "do no harm" like the doctors pledge) but until we apply true morality to our own lives and speak boldly to government which rules in fear and demogogery and to business which thinks that God is a dollar or a yen or any other form of currency, we will be be responsible for our own plight.... Just a thought or two... Since we do not study history or at least it's tennons we will be forced to repeat the mistakes made before....

A paradigm shift - polyamory - Your thoughts? Here are mine... - This is a big big topic... good one. It is true to say that an amazing thing about being human (thank any God figure you'de like :)) is that we have an INFINITE capacity to love. It is most obvious in women but exists in us all. I understand all of the comments about walking a path together, finding the one and only, etc and that is a great way to live but the fact is, we can love more than we do. We can choose to want to be with a certain person more than any other but we can love many. The easiest way to show this is that when a child is born they make the parents feel as if they could never love like they do this first beautiful child but when others come along what we experience is an expansion of our capacity to love. It is limitless. As mothers and parents can love many children so can we all love many others. We dont need to, some dont want to, but some feel it is a natural and Godly way to live. The biggest obstacle to it is jealousy or feelings of ownership which Swingers have largely learned are "lower thinking" attributes and, at least as far as the physical goes, they are beyond jealousy etc (of course I mean the healthy ones). Big Love is a real deal. It scares many people, even swingers but it is the next and logical progression in the more enlightened thinkers out there, which many swingers are. We swingers have at least tackled the threat that comes from "physical" sharing but many are scared to death to hear their loving sharing spouse express feelings of love for another man or woman. A great book on this topic is "The Future of Love" by Daphne Rose Kingma. It's excellent. Im sure this idea (polyamory) is not for everybody but it is natural and can be as rewarding and freeing as swinging is I'm told...(Jealousy, guilt and ownership are unnatural 'learned' behaviors). KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - This is also my first comment on this site. Normally I keep to myself but I have to speak about this. I am a divorcee and now me and my lovely, amazing, sexy, new partner are living happily together and we are swingers. She was in the lifestyle before and I was a little bit before also. Me and my ex were not on any site and didn't do it regularly but I think three times we had done something with other couples. In my case our marriage was in a downward spiral and it was not because of the swinging. It was not going to work no matter what. Of course she would bring up the event during an argument but there were many other issues that's caused more serious problems. I watched the link and from what I gather this gal is not that attractive ( at least to me ) and she has a sour taste in her mouth about swingers ( no pun intended ) because they did not have good experiences in the lifestyle. So I put the blame on them for this , not swinging or swingers. We have had some wonderful times and have meant some great friends doing this.
