Those damn single men! - Where do they fit in this lifestyle? - SexyPoker I've never been to a swingers club outside of Dallas Ft Worth, Sans Souci, Iniquity, AfterMidnight, and the PlayPen. Iniquity may not allow single men in, but I know the others do. In those clubs single men are restricted to an area at the bar. They are not to approach any couples or single ladies! Doing so will get you a warning, and then tossed out! I dont normally go to a swingers club alone, I'll take a lady friend with me, she may NOT be a swinger, but she does like to dance, socialize, dress sexy, and enjoys the attention, and the people. When I have gone alone, I find a couple I know and sit with them. The biggest mistake anyone can make, be it a single man or woman or couple is this. Swinger Literature? - magazine articles, books, web articles... - As EdNBrenda said a very good book would be "The Lifestyle." It is a little bit dated but the book is research based and has a lot of interesting information from history to demographics. It is not a book to grab for raw excitement but a very good book for intellectual discussion. There are times that memories of incontrolable thrusts and unconscious passion give pause, but experience... though overstated is under-rated. Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - Much of what has been said I agree with, but I do know poly couples in the lifestyle. Their swinging is a bit more complicated as far as the decision process because I would imagine that such a decision would need to be agreed upon by all partners involved. The biggest difference I think between regular swingers and those who are involved in poly relationships is while most people who swing would shun the development of emotional ties to other swingers thinking it would be the doom of their spousal (primary) relationship, those who are also involved in or those who are open to the possibility of poly relationships would welcome the development of additional relationships for what they are knowing there is neither a need to replace their spouse or run off with the person they have formed this new relationship with.
