On Premise Swingers Club - SLC - 'Church' Busted for Prostitution Takes Religious Freedom Too Far Church Not What the Constitution Meant By Isa-Lee Wolf Takeaways COMMENTARY | Sometimes you just have to give people credit for creativity. Phoenix police have busted a church called the Phoenix Goddess Temple, alleging that it was actually a front for prostitution. According to CNN, authorities claim churchgoers received sexual services in exchange for "donations." Twenty men and women have been arrested in regard to the church's practices of so-called "neo-tantric" healing; police are still seeking 17 more individuals. What makes this case so interesting is, if the allegations are true, the great lengths of planning undertaken to skirt the laws against prostitution. People tend to believe the First Amendment serves as a blanket protection of religious groups, shielding them from the general laws of the state when laws and beliefs are in conflict. Unfortunately for this group, that interpretation of freedom of religion does not always hold true. Glenn Hudson, a club owner in Dallas with the same perspective, also tried to get creative, calling his alleged nightclub/drug den a "spiritual organization," reports CBS News Dallas/Fort Worth. After his bust for running an unlicensed dance club, he claimed it was actually a youth outreach program, getting the young people of Dallas engaged with their spirituality through dance. Meanwhile, four undercover visits by police yielded 15 separate drug buys. But the Fenix/Darkside wasn't Hudson's only supposed religious group. He also owned a spiritual organization/swinger's club called The Playground, where people could allegedly watch pornography and have sex. The Playground garnered the city's attention for being housed in a building with a "certificate of occupancy for a church, mosque or synagogue." Dallas ordered both clubs permanently closed. Such creativity in using freedom of religion to shield a group from law enforcement can have tragic results. In a much darker example, polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs sought the protection of freedom of religion to avoid consequences for his abuses of children . His lawyers argued before his trial and he now claims in his motion for a new trial that his "marriages" to children as young as 12 were protected by the Constitution, according to Reuters. Jeffs was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Religion is addressed in the first clause of the Bill of Rights for good reason. The framers of the Constitution knew what harm religious tyranny caused, and how the beliefs of the minority could easily be trampled by the majority. But trying to hide unsavory acts under the mantle of freedom of religion is an affront to all Americans, the religious and the non-religious. The religion clause is meant to protect that which is most personal, most fundamental: the individuality of a belief system. While arguments like those of the Phoenix Goddess Temple; The Playground; and, particularly, Warren Jeffs, wave the banner of religious freedom, the claims are hollow. Worst of all, manipulation of the spirit of the religion clause is an abuse of the gift of a freedom once unknown in the world.

New Orleans take over - - We attended a Lifestyles Convention in New Orleans a couple of years ago. It was great. The events in the city attract swingers from all over the world and we woul reckon that you are guaranteed agreat time

Question - do you talk about other swingers? - NEVER NEVER NEVER NEFER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER, and did I mention NEVER !

Is this one of your rules? What is it? is it fear? or something - Does everyone feel this way? - To everyone, and no one in particular, The reason I have asked this question was not to insult any one's rules, or chastise as some seem to have taken it, AGAIN. I have asked this because our rules have changed and even lightened. As we get deeper into the lifestyle we have given up alot of our original rules and now they are more like guidelines. (I don't know if any of you remember the beating I took in the forum for having a no kissing rule, but after abandoning it I still have yet to find another man I can kiss passionately, just doesn't do it for me I guess.) I am still wondering why this is such a popular rule. It seems there are many who have the "No friends, No play rule." I am only curious as to why. I do not think anyone owes anyone sex, I don't think that everyone should fuck on the first date, I am simply curious. We are very secluded in the south, and are limited as to options of swingers to befriend. A great deal of you Northern Utah swingers have this "No friends, No play rule," out of respect for your rules I can't hardly send you an email asking if you want to hookup this weekend as we are only going to be in town Friday, and have a life to get back to on Saturday. This would break your rule and I cannot feasibly ask it of you. Our guideline for this situation is "Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone." or in other words, we will see how it goes. Anyway, I hope I didn't offend anyone, I have my own weird guidelines as well and have often wondered if there are just a bunch of weirdos out there I don't know about, or if I am the weirdo. ~CLASSY~

Another Swingers Show on TV - - So it's on again tomorrow. We're DVRing it again. It's nice not to have to worry about kids looking at what we have recorded!!! Guess we may have to have some of our friends over to watch it!!![em]Emo_12[/em]

Translating Personals/Swingers Ads - - LMAO......... But the sad part is alot of it is true..

seniors - why is it so difficult to find senior swingers or single ladies? -

SIN,

Telling someone that they are too old to participate, using derogatory desciptions and hurtful language, isn't funny. If you find humor in belittling others regarding things they can not control, then you've crossed the line. You can control or change your political views, religion and stances on many things... You can't readily change how you look, how old you are, and sometime how heavy you are... Attacks against an individual's being should be avoided. We are who we are. We all deserve the same freedom and liberty. I respect you choice not to involve yourself with the elderly, just as most of them should. However, you have no right to tell them that they should give up their pursuit of happiness. To do so, then call it a joke, just makes you look like and even bigger prick. That is just my opinion.

-Don-

Preferences? - - AHHH.NO! DON that is not what I am refering to..anyone who thinks eating Human or any other bodily waste IS EROTIC is very MUCH DISTURBED..that is for DrPhil to handle.I mean IF you have these THINGS that YOU need TO GET OFF..THEN when those THINGS become nonexsistent anymore to you..ie-LOOKS...HAIR...PENIS or whatever then do you just HANG IT UP because you ARENT PHYSICALLY attracted to ANYONE??I think there are ALOT of SO-called SWINGERS who are nothing more than self centered people. There is a movie that came out in the 70's called SWINGERS it dealt alot with the differnt personal VIEWS of everyone in the movie. As for me I am an equal oppurtunity swinger..TO exclude anyone..just becaue your dick dosent get hard at the site of them is purely ludicrous..because that is the whole basis of marriage to be married to that ONE person that DOES everthing for you..so why would you Wife-Swap..Swing or participate in ANY extra marital activities? At one time or another EVERYONE thinks about someone or something else besides their own mate..NOW that dosent mean that you love or desire your mate ANY LESS..We all have little nuances that our mates dont have..so just to say that I HAVE to be attracted to someone JUST to have sex ...I dont know sounds sort of suspect to me of something else involved ..THATS just MY opion...Bye KattNJohn

New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - Unfortunately, the church idea was tried just over 12 years ago. The state shut it down quickly.
