I Have A Question - Poly vs. Open - Mr. and I have been in a committed poly relationship with another couple for 3 1/2 yrs. Both we and the other couple had been in the LS for 3-4 years before this. Our trajectories were different - Mr. and I were pretty bored with swinging. We had lots of fun adventures, but we both tend to crave more intimacy and I, in particular, don't find myself attracted to many men until I am intellectually attracted to them, and that generally takes more time and effort than the average swinger wants to put in. We had tried only dating unicorns for a year, and then went to more of an open style marriage (infrequent, but occasional hall passes. Sometimes with both members of the same couple, sometimes not). But even that wasn't as satisfying as I wanted and my interest in the LS was waning. That's when we stumbled upon our Others. We were at a vanilla swirl party (a few LS, mostly vanilla) and immediately picked them out as LS. What do you know, we clicked. I immediately was drawn to the husband, he to me, and our spouses soon felt the same. We began spending time together as a foursome pretty much from that day forward. Their trajectory was different than ours. They were classic swingers--meet at a party, click, arrange sex or fuck then and there. Sometimes these people became friends over time, sometimes not. They didn't crave the intimacy we did; they enjoyed the spontaneity, excitement and variety. Their relationship was never open. Mardi Gras unzipped in slc - - We've thrown very large Mardi Gras parties and Halloween Parties in the past,and most people showed because we made them pre-pay for tickets, so they had some investment in the party. Most of them turned out good. What cracked us up the most was--the ones who come and seem to act like we owe them some kind of magical fuck-dust or something; I mean if you are dumb, don't work out, and have a rude personality, just going to a party of people in the lifestyle doesn't guarantee you to get laid or be invited to an orgy. Two times we gave a trip to New Orleans and as soon as we rewarded it we started getting attitude that we owed this person more. No feeling of thanks, but more of 'what else can I suck ot of you'. The Last one we gave a prize to New Horizons in Seattle--our favorite swing club. Got the same attitude from the couple, really even condescended to us. It was really a shame. We forgot to get them a car to drive around, our bad. Gave you a 2000 gift, get your own effen car, cheepasses. Well, anyway. My message here is be thankful for those who try and if you win something, show some effen gratitude. Swingers can be such cheep asses. Pay for the show, enjoy what you can and be more thankful, cause if you aren't you may scare off those, like us, who tried. ;) We didn't know of this party but we're always up for a good one. We usually invite a couple with us so no-matter the outcome of the party we'll have a good time. I recommend that to those who attempted to go to this party and bemoan how lame it was...so there I am with FUNNESTCOUPLE81. Life is what you make it.

What's the universal swinger signal? - How can you spot a swinger?? - With my ex, we 'recruited' a lot of people into the lifestyle. We simply flirted and saw where it went. Tampa Bay area is the most adult friendly city in the USA, more adult oriented businesses per capita than anywhere in the USA...2 nudist resorts (our preferance for swinging is Paradise Lakes, they seem more open to it and have never heard, "OOOOOOOO They are swingers! (with disgust in their voices)" there, but have numerous times at Caliente)...Plenty of Swing Clubs (both on and off site)...and a few theatres where playing is not only allowed, but encouraged and set up for (glory holes, couches, etc)...
