Best Swingers club in Cincinnati area? - Swingers clubs - For those of you that live in the greater Cincinnati area, which Swinger's club do you think is best? We've only been to Club SinDay and Club 440, and enjoy both of them. They're different type of clubs, but we've had great times in both. But we have heard that there are other clubs, but have not been able to pin-them-down. We also like the summer specials that both SinDay and 440 run, which makes it easier on the wallet. The Hunt Club of Brevard is in the news - And I thought Utah was a news hog - Suspected sex club faces investigation Police chief says Hunt Club should be closed City officials are investigating an alleged swingers club that entices customers to "explore the sensual and sexual side of the lifestyle" in a sleepy neighborhood off Turtle Mound Road. The Hunt Club of Brevard -- a 2,534-square-foot house in the Oak Grove Acres subdivision -- on its Web site touts group and private rooms, a stage and dancing pole, swimming pool, buffet-style dining and "The Pink Cauldron" (a five-person hot tub). Prompted by complaints from neighbors, two undercover Melbourne police officers -- one male, one female -- posed as a couple, and toured the house in late-March, Police Chief Don Carey said. Inside, the officers noticed a stripper pole and swinging sex chair, and they learned one of the bedrooms was converted into an "observation room," he said. No lawbreaking activities were noted, Carey said -- "they were consenting adults doing stuff in private that wasn't criminal" -- and the police investigation was closed with no charges filed. Regardless, Carey believes The Hunt Club is an illegal establishment that should shut down. "It's my opinion that the people there are operating a business out of their home. They're violating the zoning in that area, because they're not allowed to have customers in their home," Carey said. "It is a business. If they feel differently, they can challenge us in the courts." Kirsi Page, one of the operators of The Hunt Club, said there is nothing illegal or improper about the establishment. The 1.3-acre property is zoned for residential use, said Cindy Dittmer, Melbourne's planning and economic development director. City Attorney Paul Gougelman said officials still are researching "various angles" that could reveal municipal code infractions. Friday night, nearly two dozen neighbors protested outside the house, said Larry Groves, who lives across the street. One large sign displayed the message "The Hunt Club Not Wanted Here." Despite their efforts, Groves said more than 20 vehicles pulled into the driveway and parked in the backyard. "Some of the cars left, and came back with their tags taken off. Some of them didn't care," he said. Groves said he is worried about crime and sexual predators. "This is a dead-end cul-de-sac. We don't have any bylaws in the development here that prevents anything like that. It can happen in any neighborhood in Melbourne," he said. "Whether they broke the law or not, the intent is not good for a quiet community. We're trying to protect our investments and our lifestyle and our morality level." The eight houses on Beth Lane -- including the alleged sex club -- range in market value from $286,000 to $481,000, Brevard County Property Appraiser's Office records show. The house's rental tenants are Richard Spalding and Kirsi Page. In an e-mail interview on Monday, Page said The Hunt Club was founded in mid-January, and the organizers do not allow illegal activity, drugs or prostitution. "Our opinion of our neighbors is that they are bigots. Our sexual practices and preferences are different from what they think is OK, so they are trying to make our lives miserable," Page wrote. "We know that we're OK, and that they are close-minded and full of hate." Admission at The Hunt Club is advertised as free, although donations are accepted. "Secure parking" is provided by a fenced yard behind the house, and online membership registration is available. The group seeks investors to ante up $60,000 by mid-June to build a 4,000-square-foot complex with eight bedrooms. "What you see when you come to a party is a group of adults mingling, flirting, laughing and sometimes dancing. The parties are very quiet, to the point that you cannot hear any noise out on the street in front of our house," Page stated. "I think that our neighbors' imagination is much more depraved than anything we are actually doing. And I think they've forgotten something important . . . having sex is not illegal," she wrote. Already this month, this private residence has hosted various sexually themed Friday events -- including a pajama party and a secretary-teacher-schoolgirl soiree, an online schedule indicates. This week, the house plans to host a "Naughty Girls, Ice Cream and High Heels Social." Page said in a subsequent interview that the club is not a business. Rather, some attendees make voluntary donations to help cover costs for food, towels and sheets, she said. The tenants rent the home from Pennsylvania resident Penny D. Hanson. In an e-mail interview Monday, she wrote she might hire an attorney to deal with club-related problems. "I had no idea that my tenants were involved in this until my neighbors brought it to my attention," Hanson wrote. "I will not be renewing their lease in October because of 1) all of the problems they are causing within the neighborhood and 2) the extreme wear and tear these parties are causing on my home and yard." We had over 400 members there and it was the sexiest crowd we've ever seen! We read the forums and some of you had some concerns and we want to address those concerns before announcing the upcoming party. Overall, most of you were happy with the party and the venue, however, a small percentage of you didn't like the venue. We totally understand that a nightclub like The Hotel isn't the perfect setting for a swingers gathering when you are trying to meet others and be social. To set the record straight, we just want to let everyone know how difficult it is to find a venue that will not only give up it's busiest night of the week, Saturday, but also give it up to a group like ours. All of the lifestyle parties in Salt Lake combined don't have the best reputations for throwing 'by the law' parties as it is so a lot of venues won't even give us the time of day. Not that any of us have done anything wrong, it is just that the liquor commission keeps a close eye on the bars and nightclubs and if there are any minor violations, like nudity or sexual acts, it could shut down the venue or cause a huge fine. Venues don't even want to chance it with any of the local lifestyle parties. So, imagine how difficult it is to find a venue that will take us. Now, for the sake of providing all of our members a comfortable, fun place to hang out, socialize and dance, the ideal type of venue is one with lots of seating and tables, no-smoking inside, an outside patio for smokers and those who wish to get away from the music and heat, a bunch of bars for easy to get drinks, and a huge dance floor. All of this of course has to be able to hold up to 400 plus people in a private setting without sharing the club with the regular night. There are only a few venues in Salt Lake that provide that, and the best one, Habits, will NEVER allow us to take over the club as they don't need our revenue. Anything else that comes close to Habits is the same way, they don't need us and won't piss off their normal customers. So we found a new venue that hasn't opened yet, that is perfect for our event. We set them up for the last party, however, they couldn't get everything ready in time. So we had a back up plan to go to the old Butterfly Lounge @ The Depot. They cancelled on us 3 days before the last party because they didn't want to host a lifestyle party. So this brings me to how we ended up at The Hotel. It was the only venue that could hold up to 400 plus guests, provide a dance floor, provide some seating, as well as have a couple of fully stocked bars and the entire place to ourselves. The Hotel actually did us all a HUGE favor, so a special thanks goes out to them for accommodating our group at the last minute. As for the music, since they already had a prior commitment to some DJ's before we got there, we had to agree to let them play for the first couple of hours. So for those of you who did not like the venue, or the music, I apologize, however, this is the best we can do in a place like Utah. If you want to be able to go out and meet other members without having to share the club with non-lifestylers, I guess we all have to make some sacrifices and put up with what we are dealt with. Also, some of you asked why we charge as much as we do. Honestly, $20 per couple is nothing. A normal night club charges that in Utah ($10/person) and if you go to most any lifestyle party or swing club outside of Utah, you will pay at least $50 or more per couple. So you are actually getting a deal here. That money covers a lot of things that go into putting the party together such as deposits for the venue, DJ's, bands, supplies, etc... It also covers hosts and door staff, tipping out the club staff, and a lot of the people who put the work into to bring you such an event. You may not realize, but there is a lot work that goes into putting these things together, and the crap you have to go through with the venues doesn't help. ;) With that said, I hope I have at least explained ourselves in our choosing of the venues and that we can move forward with your support in putting together more parties, not only for Swingular, but others such as Utah Uncensored, etc... And now we can announce the next Swingular Members Party.... [b] [size=300][align=center]*** UPDATE ***[/align][/size][/b] Saturday, June 19th, 2010 @ 9 PM We have been unsuccessful in getting the previously announced new venue for our party. This new venue could not accommodate us and the lifestyle, therefore, our only choice to have a lifestyle party would again be The Hotel. This venue is still a great venue to have a lifestyle party. It is very nice (vegas style), it has multiple levels, it has 4 + bars to get drinks, and it is downtown next to hotels. We will be arranging a specific hotel for our group and try to get a group rate as well. This time, we have full control of the music, so we will make sure that the music is not too loud and we have arranged for a DJ to start with classics to rock, to 80's, to 90's and end the night with more dance music. All seating will be first come, first serve, no bottle reservations required. Tickets will be $20/Couple in advance and $30 cash at the door. Select single men that accompany another couple will be $30 in advance, $40 cash at the door. Single women are always free, at the door, no ticket needed. We will also be selling tickets at local establishments through out Salt Lake, Provo & Ogden. If you live in one of those areas and would like to help us find a place to sell tickets and manage that for us, we will give you free access to all parties you manage. Contact us for details. Karaoke?!!!! - Working on some fun times with a local bar...Who would be interested? - Good to see so many swingers out there who enjoy karaoke like we do. I DJ karaoke at a local bar and the wife is one of my regular singers. We also look for it when we hit the big city.
