If a single man is not to be considered a "real" swinger, then single women should not be considered "real" swingers either. What more does a single woman have to bring to the table than a single man? Do you think that these women do not represent the same set of issues that the men do? The clubs, the parties, the events...these activities are driven by the WOMEN who particpate. The clubs will allow single women in for next to nothing for a couple of good reasons. Mrs. Luvbugs! is a bartender, and a good one at that. She makes more part time than most degreed professionals (including me! humph!) do working full time. Why? She is very attractive. She is outgoing. She knows her stuff. She understands that SEX SELLS, and that her clients are there to see HER as much as drink a jack and coke. I have seen men sit at her bar, stare at her all night, run up a $100 tab, and leave her $30. Thats average...do that 20 to 30 times a night and what do you get? All for the privelege of being served by HER. I wouldnt do it, even if I were single. But then, I dont have to either, so who knows? THEY constitute the LION SHARE of her business, and her livelyhood. The lifestyle is not different. We need these guys at the clubs. We need them to pay for memberships on our websites. Odd pattern. - Why the interest/disinterest? - I'm not surprised to see mentions of homophobia and haste in filling out the profile as possible reasons; I hadn't thought of the male ego being so driven as to ignore disinterest from gay women. Yet that ego can't be reasoned w/ when the interested person's equipment matches the imagined ideal but the original birth certificate does not, even when reproduction is not on the table. As Terry pointed out above, every blastocyst starts out female and slightly less than half mutate into males as they become fetuses. AHARLEYCPL, not only is hate mail unwarranted, I'm personally pleased this discussion, for all its potential thorns, hasn't disintegrated into discriminatory ugliness like it would on some sites where the membership is more mainstream; I think it's b/c swingers already think outside the societal norms when it comes to expressing sexuality and have more of a 'live and let live if no one gets hurt' mentality. Recons 6th annual backyard bash! - - Just wanted to say a huge "thanks" to Recon for throwing another Phenomenal backyard party! Everything from The beds in the orchard, the tent, the lighting, the guests, the nudity, the food, the Taco Vendor from the corner of Sears on state...it was perfect! This was the best swingers party we have ever been to! Age quesiton - Do swingers of the same age group swing together? - We try to meet everyone, we have met alot of people that are close to our age, some are awesome and we clicked with on more than one level and others not at all. When we first signed up we put noone over the age of 30, then it changed to 35, then 40, and now we have no preference. We have found though that most people older than us are more mature and settled. Not everyone of course and I'm not trying to be rude but that's just what we have noticed. We do not always play with everyone we meet just those that we all connect in some way and as long as it's what everyone wants.
