Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - That would be a general definition. However, sometimes the devil is in the details. With that definition, poly couples would be termed in the same group as swingers under the banner of libertine. So would soft swingers, etc, etc. We feel the definitions are kinda important because it causes awkwardness and waste of time if we don't know what we are getting into. Single Males - Question - As aggravating as it sometimes is, we don't do the block single males option because one of the first swingers we ever had contact with was, and still is, a single guy. On another site we were on we blocked single guys and never heard from our friend, even though we sent him messages from time to time. We finally got an email at our regular mail telling us he couldn't respond to our messages because we had blocked not just the cold messages from unknown guys, but even replies to our own messages. So, if you ever decide to contact that single guy that catches your eye, make sure you unblock or you will never get a reply.

Odd pattern. - Why the interest/disinterest? - I'm not surprised to see mentions of homophobia and haste in filling out the profile as possible reasons; I hadn't thought of the male ego being so driven as to ignore disinterest from gay women. Yet that ego can't be reasoned w/ when the interested person's equipment matches the imagined ideal but the original birth certificate does not, even when reproduction is not on the table. As Terry pointed out above, every blastocyst starts out female and slightly less than half mutate into males as they become fetuses. AHARLEYCPL, not only is hate mail unwarranted, I'm personally pleased this discussion, for all its potential thorns, hasn't disintegrated into discriminatory ugliness like it would on some sites where the membership is more mainstream; I think it's b/c swingers already think outside the societal norms when it comes to expressing sexuality and have more of a 'live and let live if no one gets hurt' mentality. We should all be greatful to those who serve I do feel a bit sorry for misguided people such as Don Juan if he had an ounse of brain he would realize just how he got the freedom he has. My guess is that this isn't the case but instead the density of swingers aligns with the density of more liberal thinkers. The net result is that it would put more swingers in the more densely populated areas with the highest density in SLC. That could easily swing the odds from 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 100. At least for those of us in SLC. For the poor suckers not SLC it could go the other way. :) That said, yes, I feel lucky enough to gamble basically nothing on 1 in 1,000 odds. ;)
