courtesy - dates and communication - When we started swinging there was no internet....not like today where it takes a few seconds to find someone you want to fuck and shoot off an email or a friend request. We had to find a magazine with ads for swingers (at an adult book store), write a letter, probably include a Polaroid pic with the letter and mail it and wait for a reply...which didn't always come. So I guess we kind of were conditioned to not really worry about it too much especially once internet swinging happened and it didn't take so much work to reach out. Now it takes so little effort to contact potential playmates that many people often spam out large numbers of emails in a shotgun approach or do the same with friend requests. We've, sadly, gotten to the point in our swinging career where we DON'T respond to blind friend requests or emails that are obviously sent to multiple people (no mention specifically of us or our profile). We used to respond but found that at least half the time we then got no response in return so we assumed the senders got a BBD (bigger, better deal) and were no longer interested. We really don't get our panties in a wad over it. I kind of look at it like an unsolicited spam email from someone wanting to clean my carpets. I really don't feel a great need to respond even though it would be the POLITE thing to do. IMO if you need and seek an emotional bond (beyond friendship) from someone other than your spouse or significant other that clearly shows your needs are unfortunately not being met, and is a sad state of a relationship. The wife and I often do Cancun for fun adult vacations however, due to Covid , we have to stay state-side this year. We are debating between Sea Mountain Inn in Palm Springs or One Love Nude Resort in Vegas. We have never been to either. Any thoughts or suggestions?? While it may not be new, it's definitely gaining traction.. And some of the sillier things (like the upside down pineapple) are going the way of urban legends. =)
Would like to see it more in Utah, since it's definitely a "thing" when you get outside the lowly shelter of Utah-centric Swingular. (SLS, Kasidie, etc, are all at least mentioning it regularly now, if not downright pushing / endorsing it).... And the OTHER online communities (like reddit) are pushing it pretty hard.
Even when it comes to swinging, it seems Utah is sheltered. =)

Swingers dying out? - Is the utah swinger community dying or becoming to needy? - I don't think it is dying out, by any means. My opinion is a few things are happening.
The Swingular community is actually growing...bigtime. Hence the increasing number of events being posted. And yes..most are paid events...for a couple of reasons..to actually pay for the cost of an event..and plain old capitolism. Welcome to America. No real problem.
House parties...are alive and well. But...because of the increased number of folks here, things have changed from before. Now, if you post one here..you have a bunch of people respond..most likely too many...some must be told no....hard for most of us to do. Consequently..hosts have become a bit more selective.. and send personal invites..rather than general announcements. Basically...house parties have moved underground. And hosts have become more selective about just inviting particulair age groups, or body types. That leaves many of us out. I know our email box is empty most of the time, unless it is us hosting the party.
Just my opinion of course..yours maybe different!
Yahoo name and status - - Most the swingers we have meet use yahoo to talk and such quite regularly. COnsidering the chat room here is empty and the instant messenger isnt that great. ANy way in the profiles we could have a spot for thier yahoo anmd if the are on your frined list and maybe even a small little status icon for when they are online.
