Single guys and emails... - Answering all emails - except from single men who don't seem to read our profile - OK here's another post from another "Narwhal" (single male vs. "unicorn" single female) Valance I think you coined the moniker in another post and hope it sticks because it's comparative nature of desirability even with a 10 ft. pole. I really don't understand couples attempt for the exclussion of single males as not being"swingers" without also excluding the single females as swingers with statments like "stay out of the clubs, your not swingers"or" get a woman first" This is a lifestyle not an exclusive club and there are all types and interests. I admit there are many rude crude and impolite males out there but there are also the same in the couples and single women catagories too. What are my odds of finding a woman into and interested in similar sexual activities in a regular bar or dating site? I'm here mainly for the social aspect(and yes maybe sex!). My reasoning being if one can be open and honest about sex they can and usually are more honest about all other things and this has been a general experience with most of the people I have met. Yes there's sometimes drama .(90% of the time it's either insecurity or honesty related and you'll see me headed the other way..lol) but for the most part I have found all of you folks to be great to be around. I don't ever expect any replies to any email contcts I initiate or receive any initial contact,the good old days of letters of introduction and subsequent curtious replies are regretfuly long gone. The internet just makes it easier to ignore or not acknowledge someone. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone replied without fearing nasty rebukes for rejection issues? The single males are just looking for their needs and desires to be fulfilled just like all of you and don't deserve to be bashed for being single. Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? - We have a 2011 BMW X5; 2009 Jaguar XF; 2005 Mercedes SLK 350; & 2000 Infiniti QX4. We still need to break in the newer three. The SLK is tricky, a top down event!
Cruise - pricing - You guys are really bitching about paying $2000 for two people for a 7 day lifestyle takeover cruise? I heard Utah people were cheap but come on. Let's break that down per day... $285... per couple... per day... We've been many places that aren't nearly as nice as being on a cruise with 2100 swingers and paid a lot more than that for just hotel rooms. Throw in car rental and food and you're out even more.
So what if you're paying $600 more than what they charge for a regular cruise... you don't have to worry about children and you're around people you can actually have fun with. Sounds like the extra money is worth it to me. And have you ever been on ANY vacation when you fly? Add in airfare, liquor, tips and gratuities as well. You're not getting those things free on most other vacations anyways.
Did you go to SwingFest? The rooms there were $300 a night! So if you can't afford this cruise, don't knock the people who put it together, we've been waiting for something like this for a long time and they deserve to make a bit of money off this because I'm sure it wasn't easy.
And you're probably the ones who bitch about there never being any events or parties for lifestylers, then when someone puts one together, you bitch about it because they make a dollar for their efforts.
We'll be on the cruise and we'll be glad to see those who aren't cheap on there with us.

We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - I think alot of people would agree that it can be difficult to find a good, solid 4-way connection when swapping with couples, and sometimes you don't know things aren't clicking until you're already playing. The best thing to do is put it behind you and move on to the next. When you finally do make that awesome connection with another couple, it makes the "not so good" experiences worth it.
Wife's bday on 5th, suggestions? - What do you think or want to do - Not sure if this is something you would want to do, but this is what I did for my wife (ex-wife now) back in Calif. in the late 80's for our first year anniversary. I had it all planned out, keeping in mind that we had been swingers for a few years and had made a few friends...though we didn't get together with them as much as we/I wanted. Anyway, we lived about a 2 hour drive to Reno NV.. I had told my wife I wanted to take her to Reno for our 1 year anniversary and she was excited to go. Other stories of our playtimes in Reno will not be told at this time..lol. I had, behind her back talked to members of this group we were in...AFF group....and when all was said and done, 3 single guys and 2 couples(not counting us) ended up there. It was an incredible night to say the least...and obviously you would be substituting Wendover for Reno...lol.

She is pretty close to correct. I have lived elsewhere but I like Utah. It does have its quirks but so does everywhere else. Life is what you make of it. There are areas with problems, mostly socio-economic in nature. Poor areas have more crime as a rule. Thus many of the older areas have higher rates of crime and problems in school but not all.
55 to 60 percent of the people in Salt Lake and Davis counties are non-LDS. However since the LDS are evangelistic in nature they have a tendency to want you to come to church. Most have gotten past the idea that letting their children play with non member children is a problem. Once they know you are not interested in joining they tend to leave you alone if you wish. But there are lots of good LDS and Non LDS neighbors.
Work with a realtor and find an area in your price range where there are other children close to yours in age. On the north of SLC, Bountiful through Layton will be more rural as will Harriman and daybreak areas to the South West. There are a lot of nice new homes in the south west corner of Salt Lake County. The east bench tends to be more money but not always. In Utah property taxes pay for schools.
The Provo/Orem area does have more LDS folks by percentage but not necessarily fewer swingers.
