Mardi Gras 2007!!!!! - Its never too early to plan - A group of people from Las Vegas have worked with a hotel in New Orleans and set up the entire hotel for a huge swingers gathering at Mardi Gras for 2007. The event is open to anyone and we hope will help with getting New Orleans back on its feet. We know this past Mardi Gras was a success for the city but next year should be a huge blow out. Already half the rooms of the hotel are booked. So they are going quickly. The package is for just the room and transportation to the airport upon the completion of Mardi Gras. Racism, sexism, etc, etc are all forms of prejudice. If you say "Pit Bulls are a dangerous breed.", you are not guilty of racism. You are guilty of prejudice. However, prejudice against a breed of dog is seen as way more acceptable than a person, religion, etc, etc in the social setting. Few, if any will say much if I said that pit bulls, on the whole are a dangerous breed of dogs because we can see from the statistics that they tend to hurt more people than any other breed of dog. However, if I said that black people are a more dangerous breed of people because statistics show them to be more likely to be incarcerated than white people, look out. Why the difference? Prejudice against dogs is seen as more socially acceptable than prejudice against people. All we are doing is compartmentalizing the prejudice so we can make certain ones more acceptable than others. Is prejudice good? Well, ask the insurance companies. They categorize people based on many factors to be good or bad risks. Profiling is a form of prejudice. Whether it is acceptable or not depends on who you target it at.

The definition of cheating - - Interesting discussion. Certainly from a relationship standpoint the classic definition of cheating is being with someone other than your partner physically and/or emotionally. As swingers, however, we often hold ourselves above others and fall back on the lying and/or sneaking around aspect. Personally I feel that being dishonest with the person you hold most dear in this life to be the essence of cheating for me. When information is withheld you take away that person's prerogative to choose whether or not to stay in the relationship with you based on your actions outside of the relationship. There are a million ways people rationalize cheating. I find that a person's attitude towards cheating is a very good litmus test for the depth of their character. Now should we talk about cheating on a test or cheating other people out of their hard earned money? How about cheating on your taxes or at a poker game with friends? At what point DOES cheating become morally reprehensible or should it be "all's fair in love and war" and "every man (or woman) for himself"? Or as SIRNEWBY asserts, is self deception/lying/cheating really the only valid metric? Or did I misunderstand your point, SN? It would be interesting to get feedback from people (I'm sure there are plenty) who've been cheated on.
