Dental dam, opinions, thoughts and the like - - Been doing this north of 25 years now and have NEVER seen a dental dam used. EVER! I joined after I thought long and hard about spending years of my life dedicated to something other than myself. I decided that I do love the freedoms that have and I am willing to make sure they stay that way. Noone decided this for me, I am not mindless, I am educated,and I am a member of mensa. Not every war has to be fought on American soil to have a pure purpose. DJQ, you have the ability to not only work and pay your bills, feed yourself, acquire material posessions(including the computer you make your posts on), and you have the right to your opinion. All of these things are possible because of a country, however flawed, that stands up for what it feels is right. I'm willing to bet that ANY number foreign nationals would love to trade places with you right now. When you put your own self needs away for a short moment and realize, like so many post before mine have said, there are families without fathers and mothers because they fought for something bigger than themselves, we, you and I, are not that important in the grand scheme of things. Young men and women, some as young as 18 years of age, are sleeping in tents, eating food from plastic bags, and waiting for the next mortar round to hit nearby, because they were asked too. Many of whom probably do not agree with their situation, but realize that they are their, giving of themselves for a greater good. These people deserve at the very least a soft thank you once a year. DJQ, you are intitled to your opinion, no one will force you to believe something else like the days of inquisition. But please, for all those who have given of themselves, past and current, have just a shred of decency and gratitude that you are able to live the life you have. There's been an interesting discussion on another swing site we're on about some of this topic and an old timer on there (who's now divorced) brought up something that we found interesting and that seems to be fairly ubiquitous in the lifestyle. It turns out that most women who have been in the lifestyle for a decent length of time have at one time or another (multiple times for Ms. Evil and some of the ladies we've known for some time) been told by a play partner (more often by a single male or even more often a vanilla guy...lot's of swingers seem to get a thrill out of vanilla hunting I guess) that if they were THEIR partner they would NEVER share them with another man. Think about that for a minute. With the way most women are raised and the messages society pounds into their heads about love, romance, fidelity, etc., how powerful are those words are. Swinging ,Or cheating? - - We NEVER play with a half couple. This is for several reasons. First, we don\'t believe anyone who has permission. If they really do have permission, great, but we\'d rather err on the side of caution. Secondly, we have had \'single\' guys who\'ve turned out to have girlfriends and the girls tend to get upset when they find out their boy has been screwing my wife. Never very understanding. Lastly, someone I knew had his best friend murdered recently. The man was shot 4 times in his bedroom by a jealous boyfriend who had found out his \'ex\' girlfriend was screwing someone else. That\'s not something either me or my wife is interested in dealing with. Double murder is never a good thing, and people commit these kinds of crimes of passion all the time. People are always welcome to do whatever they like, but i\'m sure most people here agree that those who are \'half couple\' people give swingers a bad name.
