Friends Lists - - Hi everybody... I think that this site started up in Utah, and is just gaining popularity in Florida. My guess is that the Tampa crowd will pick up on it very soon. It maybe that the Tampa groups do not need a website to meet up. There are so many swingers in your area. I've always enjoyed my times in Tampa/St. Pete. Don't lose faith, but if you become impatient, you are always welcome to Jax. We've got a good thing going on up here.

trying to pick a place to honeymoon - - I would say it depends on what kind of weather and scenery you want. If you want mountains for hiking/camping/skiing and that sort of thing, pick Utah. If beaches and such are more your thing, pick Florida. Both have great groups of swingers as far as what I know via here on Swingular. Personally, if I could have a honeymoon (we eloped and skipped that whole deal), I pick Hawaii. :P

Preconceived Ideas - - I Guess in the start of all this, or b4 we actually experienced anything in the lifestyle.....we may have had a preconception that it was all about sex, but have sensed realized that it is more for social gatherings of open minded friends. (not that sexual fun doesnt sometimes come of the open minded gathering......) We have a ton of fun at these gatherings, and now have some lifetime friends that we have a good time with no matter what we are doing. It isnt just about the sex like we first thought, and in the start we were kinda afraid that ppl who were more experienced would be pushy, or that our relationship would be disrespected, BUT that is SO far from how it actually is. There is a lot more respect given to a relationship at one of these gatherings then you can find at any other place on a saturday night, thats for sure! We would much rather hang out with swingers then anyone else....at any given time!!! Way fun people, respectful, and non judgemental.......a crowd that we perfer to hang out with!

We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - Well said TEQUILAROSE! For me there have been far more good times. I think I have done a nice job of being friendly and caring with couples I have met with. There was one time not all that long ago though that I became one of those dreaded single males who doesn't perform up to par. It totally suck for me and the couple. It really wasn't her. It was totally me, but luckily that has been the only time (knock on wood....So long as I have it...LOL) AND there have been far more great times than there have be bad!

Sex vs. Guilt - Atheists have 'better sex lives than followers of religion who are plagued with guilt' -
I'm still trying to figure out how/why they "preyed" for forgiveness. Interesting topic after watching swinging evolve here in Utah for the past 25 years and seeing those coming from strict Mormon backgrounds (ourselves included) either abandon the faith and/or faith in general or try to rationalize their adulterous activities. We've met quite a few people who while fucking suddenly decide it's getting too late since they have church in the morning. Gives new meaning to the term "Fast Sunday".
When you consider that the largest religious group in Utah is the LDS faith it is not surprising that the largest group of swingers is from that faith. I was told by mother that the fly boys of WWII used to say that Mormon girls don

Swinger Friendly Businesses - Business or services friendly to swingers - Now if there was just a plastic surgeon on here we would be set. ;) Implants at discount.:q I think it is a great idea My company does flood restoration/disaster clean up. In case your wild party's get a little to wet and wild. Flooring sales and insallation,Carpet cleaning as well

Single Males - -

...get a girl to join you....Not only do you now "bring more to the table", but you have the added credibility that if you can find and finesse a girl into joining you in this little adventure we call swinging (whether it be a girlfriend, a wife, a second cousin twice removed, or just a hot fwb) you might just not be a giant douchecopter.
Ignoring the need to "finesse" someone and unhealthy gender stereotypes in general, this line of reasoning is a little troubling as it presumes that a male's company is inherently worth less. Or that an absence of semi-romantic relationships somehow speaks poorly of his character. I personally think approaching someone whom you aren't already fairly close with and soliciting to go to a swingers party is a bit out of line. Especially if her company is sought as an accessory to demonstrate to others that he is not, as you say, “a douchecopter”. Call me old-fashioned.
I know we can't be the only people who secretly wonder just a little bit about some single guys and why they aren't with somebody. Do they secretly hate women (yes, we've met some that actually do), are they just too lazy (or busy, maybe...but hey, we're all busy) to find someone, are they serial killers and/or just not very nice guys?
Oh, I hope you are! That's a really unfortunate outlook to have. Promising relationships take time to find, let alone build to the requisite amount of trust and stability to try things like this. In the mean time, I don't see anything wrong with someone pursuing their interests while still holding out for someone worthy of their emotional investment. To me, that behavior is quite attractive should be respected! It doesn't get any better than someone who is confident, self-actualized, and motivated to pursue their desires. Sadly, it sounds their gender influences whether this is seen as a desirable trait. I'm not sure how long you've been out of things (30 years?), but it's easy to forget the struggle when you're comfortable in a marriage. Things are more fluid. People don't feel the need to settle down like they used to.
I know many will say they've tried and swinging is a deal breaker for most women. After almost 3 decades in the swinging trenches meeting and talking to other people, both couples and singles, we would disagree....many, if not most, women could eventually come around to the idea of swinging once they feel safe and secure in a relationship.
This is just confirmation bias if the evidence comes from a sample of people you have met while swinging.
...those of us who DID put in all the blood, sweat, and tears into a relationship and allow it to grow to the point of daring (don't think for a second we aren't risking a LOT in opening up our relationships to other people!) to allow others access to our significant other sometimes wonder why some others want to take a shortcut to all the sweet swinging bennies with little or no risk on their own part.
If you're not comfortable sharing your wife with someone you might view as a potential competition, you definitely don't have to. On the other hand, there are a lot of people enjoy it :) This smacks of the old “you must suffer as I did” chestnut.
Yes, I agree, "finesse" was a poor choice of words. In my defense, I was at work and rather in a hurry to make a point...that apparently I didn't make well (and my attempts to also be humorous apparently fell flat too). Rereading my post it does smack a little of mild gender bias but I can assure you that it wasn't my intent in any way and most certainly is not my outlook on women, relationships or life in general. My intent was simply to advocate approaching swinging as a mutually desirable activity that two partners desire and share equally in. And not that it matters, but I've shared my wife with probably over a hundred men, married and single, and I've never thought of any of them as competition. But I never thought of swinging as "sharing" my wife either, but instead as her deciding to be sexual with another person and me being totally okay with her decision to do so. Sharing her, to me, almost denotes some sort of ownership or at very least some kind of permission that I would have to give. Both those ideas are not a part of our relationship. Perhaps the concept of "competition" in swinging interactions is a single male attitude? I don't know. And I didn't mean it in any way, shape, or form as a "you must suffer as I did" trope but simply as the idea that we invested a LOT of hard work and time making our marriage what it is and together deciding to risk opening it up to the excitement and also the possibility of harm that is swinging. I think, perhaps, that sometimes single people in the lifestyle don't quite understand the very real possibility of permanent damage (or worse) to the relationship that couples who swing are flirting with. For many (most?) of us, our marriages/relationships are THE most precious thing we have. What, if anything, are you risking? A bruised ego?

Friend collectors or swingers - - We feel that we have "friends" who we don't even know. We'll get a friend request and then nothing else. Together we have been in the lifestyle for over a year. We started in September 2019 and hit the ground running. Before we got together Scott was on here as a single guy but had met a number of amazing people. So we went to a party which was my first swinger experience. I was nervous but it turned out to be one of the best nights ever. We kept playing and meeting new people then the pandemic hit and we take it seriously. We will meet new people but not in large gatherings.

Picky Picky - No not your nose -
I'm picky, like probably a little bit unrealistically so. I figure I have the man of my dreams who is hung, smart, fun, charismatic and attractive. I shouldn't settle for less then total attraction. This should be true for all. I realize I'm a old hand at this, been in and out (ha) of the lifestyle since 2011, and I've basically done all the things, but if you're with your perfect partner then my understanding is swinging is an enhancement to your sex life. Never settle for less (old swinger advice for the newer swingers) just to have a new partner/experience/taking one for the team. What are your thoughts?
I think it depends on what you're looking to get out of swinging and what you value in a sexual experience. While I agree with some of your points I also know from experience that different partners/playmates can bring many different things to the table. I've been with women who were absolutely amazing kissers. I've met play partners who knew little sex "tricks" that had never occured to me or to my primary partner that we've been able to incorporate in our own play. I've been fortunate to have sex with women who brought an amazing level of enthusiasm and energy to our encounters. And, lastly, and perhaps even more important, I've met and played with women who I wasn't necessarily immediately attracted to but who I became VERY attracted to once I got to know them a little better and the sex was mind-blowing. I've ultimately learned not to judge a book by it's cover. That physical attraction isn't necessarily the ENTIRE package. And that what makes a person a great sex partner sometimes transcends the purely physical. YMMV Ultimately you are likely get out of swinging more or less what you expect to get out of swinging. If you are less than thrilled at how other men compare to the physical criteria you've listed about your significant other then you probably won't really enjoy swinging all that much. Just my two cents after being in swinging even longer than you. [em]Emo_12[/em]

tired of the run around - - If your putting up a booty call then you can expect this !!! New people are scared it all sounds good talking about swinging but then when its going to happen that's when you see the drama or excuses at the last minute !!!! 90% of the people on this web site are not swingers it just sounds good and makes their own sex life better when they talk about it . And pregnant women are very sexy but you should of put that you were looking for a soft swap couple or a single female cause really you were just looking for some ones wife to please you and what fun is that for the man ?? I say get out to the house parties meet real people , relax a little we are not here to steal your spouses we are here for sex and friendships . Happy Humping J
