Why so much hate in the swingers world... - - Posted By: TEQUILAROSE Reply posted on: Jan 8, 2008 - 4:14 pm If a single guy is at a party and you pack up and leave because you've got this preconceived notion that all single males are pigs and are just waiting for you to take a piss, so they can approach your wife, while you're away... I say this... 1) So what? Is your wife not capable of handling herself? 2) Are you not capable of saying, "Hey, Sorry man, we're not into single guys." I see that as no different that taking care of a couple you're not interested in. Quite frankly, there are far more asshole, disrespectful men in couples that we've encountered, then the single variety. I wouldn't pack up and leave just because there is a single guy there. Just like anything else, if I found that this club has single guys there and I don't like them, I can not go to that club and find another more to my liking. Actually, yes. She is too nice to them. Then when I come back from taking a piss, I have to do the dirty job. She signs up for trial stuff and if she doesn't like it, it gets cancelled. Unfortunately, my job is to be the heavy. She, like many women the bouncers tell us about will tell the guys "not now. Maybe later.". Well, later comes along and so do they. However, because they didn't say "No thanx", if they bug her, the bouncer can't do much. That is why the club bouncers always ask the girls "Did you say no thanx" or "not now"? If it is the former, they will tell the guy off. If it is the latter, they will tell the girl "Next time, say NO. If he still bothers you, I will eject him." Unfortunately, I am. Which is why I tend to get the dirty job. When the wife wants to return something, it too is my job. When she wants to buy something and the store is pretty dead, she feels sorry for the salesman and I have to go do the dirty work. Actually, we have found the reverse to be true for us anyways. However, like I said before, even though they are more trouble, they bring things to the table that we are both interested in so the greater risk is worth it for us.

How Old Is Old - - hey blueeyes, from our perspective at least, we think you are probably right and probably wrong at the same time!!! . . . you are right about being in the minority relative to the kind words offered by most in this post, but we really believe you are also part of the vast majority of swingers who use age as a primary basis for discrimination . . . kind of a strong opinion we suppose, except that we can see at least 4 different ways anyone can pretty easily check for age discrimination providing some basis for that opinion . . . BUT, before we go into all of that, please understand that we realize that everyone is entitled to discriminate in any way they see fit . . . in fact, discrimination is not just ok, it is absolutely necessary!!! . . . you see, no one has enough time to sample from every cup (sigh!!!), so everyone has to establish discriminating criteria . . . and, for sure, we're NOT feelin' sorry for ourselves; we realize it's just part of the deal . . . there is one more thing to mention before listing ways to check for age discrimination: we think there is a pretty easy and logical answer for the OP . . . those tired of reading already, can skip to the bottom and get that opinion . . . however, we kinda hope peeps continue reading 'cause, sooner or later, age is an issue everyone will face . . . so, how does one check for age discrimination??? . . . try this: pick any population center (like slc) . . . open a bunch of profiles in that population from different age groups (say, 30's, 40's, 50's, and beyond) . . . record the number of times each profile was "recently viewed" (ya know, that little statistic conveniently provided by swingular) . . . then, simply compare the numbers for the different age groups . . . if your sample is big enough, you will see profile interest decreases with age . . . if you don't want to do the math, just talk with folks of all ages and ask them what they see . . . i know many (most???) complain like crazy about email (but somehow, everyone seems ok with tweeting, texting, facebooking, etc - - - hmmm???) . . . and, shit, there is always face-to-face (omg!!!) . . . so anywho, find an acceptable way to communicate, just ask, and keep track of what people say . . . we've done that to some extent, without any surprises . . . (although this method takes a bit more time, it has the added benefit of allowing you to connect with others) . . . another way to look for age discrimination centers on visiting other swing sites . . . we won't mention those competitors, 'cause we don't want to upset swingular management . . . but, hey, most all of us know where to look anyhow . . . in our experience, virtually all other sites list age preferences inside each profile . . . so, open a bunch of 'em and note age preferences . . . if your sample is big enough, you will see that there is almost no interest in those beyond 55 . . . it's almost like a cliff, and that somehow, sex, sensuality, desirability, etc, have an expiration date . . . we would like to think that it really depends on the individuals involved . . . and finally, there is an acid test: simply stick around the lifestyle . . . sooner or later, you will have a personal verification of the age discrimination issue . . . btw, we hope you do stick around, and we hope you have a great time doing it . . . so, how old is too old??? . . . we simply believe you are too old when finding suitable partners becomes too hard . . . what is "too hard" and who is "suitable" will vary for everyone, so the chronological marker for every swinger will be a bit different . . . but, the bottom line is the same: you are too old when this business gets too hard . . . btw, we certainly hope our time doesn't come too soon!!! . . . cheers!!! . . .

Orchard Place - Event info - Ryan and Kara are top-notch hosts and the venue is by far the best in Utah for swingers. It's the closest thing we have in Utah to a swingers club -- but it's better because it's clean, comfortable, low-pressure, the music is not loud (so you can actually chat and get to know other couples), and it feels a lot like a low-key meet & greet with a little bit of a charged sexual atmosphere. The crowd trends towards the younger side (mid-40's and below) but there are a few older folks there. WAY better than habits.... but we hate loud music and dancing... so... ;)

Moab lifestyle - looking for what lies under the covers in Moab - We get down to Moab quite a bit and can tell you with some assurance that there IS no lifestyle (at least SWINGER lifestyle) endemic to that area. LOL Sorry, I know that's probably not the answer you wanted but it's accurate. This is Utah. We're lucky to have a VERY small number of regular clubs (bars) that are lifestyle-friendly up here in the more populated areas. There are no on-premises swing clubs in Utah. Swingers of Color - - I did wonder about that as recently as 7 yrs ago. Today the number of blacks and mixed couples is doing well and increasing everyday. Hispanics are also coming more to the fore in recent years... And the statistics of only a few years ago are now defunct. More and more 45 - 60 yr olds are joining the ranks of swingers. Many are looking for simply another couple for friendship with benefits on an exclusive basis but it's still swinging.. The empty nesters and retirees are on the move. Don't sell them short either... experience is really worth something.
