Night and Day as both have way beyond different venues.
Went to a few back in the day. The difference was that there really wasn't any kind of swinging going on. Most of the activities were geared towards BDSM and/or other kink type scenarios which is fine as long as you aren't really counting on swinging along with your particular brand of kink. If you DO want the swinging aspect you'll be better off listing what you're looking for in your profile and finding like minded couples who want to do it while swapping or whatever.
Just getting to know some nice members of the clubhouse. Seems like most of the planned activities are BDSM education in nature. Only one "play" party per year. It's really too bad. I'd like to get involved in more swinging play honestly. Wish there was more going on around SLC.
Another group that holds mostly play events is the menagerie. Also lots of other activities under the events section of Fetlife.com

Totally different type of events
my last light flogging was a while ago but haven't found anything worth while in salt lake area.
It's a whole different world! We haven't found a whole lot of swingers in the BDSM community but have met some very awesome and open people. We found the "play parties" to be a bit awkward but enjoyed fetish night at area 51 and have also enjoyed some of the educational classes and munches. Overall we found its less about the sex and partying and more about community and education.
Attended a few events through fet, although not in slc. Agree with other posters though...Definitely a focus on different things than what can be found here.

To tell you the truth. They are similar both Fetlife and Swingular. Fetlife is bigger then swingular. It covers varied groups of sexual desires. It encompasses a larger group of people participating world wide. People love to travel and, Fetlife gives info on things around the world going on and in your back yard home as well. If you know how to use Fetlife...then you will understand the amazing power of the INTERNET!
Swinger's themselves are varied all over the spectrum of love. Swingular offers amazing opportunities for swinging fun. The network is smaller but, depending on your area. Makes it great for connecting with other couples. Also excellent membership price. Always good!!!
So now with closing on my long-winded speech and preach. We have used both sites. We joined them around the same time. Swingular grew more interest then Fetlife. Though emails were the same. Meeting actual couples was easier on Swingular. However, Fetlife is a surprising world. It is full of so many types of people. You have to weed more out but, you will find swinger's among them. It all comes down to meeting people and, investing time into that desire. It will not happen overnight. However, out of nowhere it seems like a party is always going on. So be patient and good manners goes a long way!! Be Kind!!!
