We have some serious beach fever and are thinking of hitting a lifestyle resort in the next few months. We know there are several to choose from but have only been to one.
We have been to one in St Martin a few years ago and had a great time.Has anyone been to any of the resorts in Mexico? I know Sea Mountain Resort in Palm Springs is close but has mixed reviews and it doesn't have a beach which we LOVE to lay out nude on :)
Any opinions would be awesome
Ms. Karma and I have been to several resorts in the West, and a couple in Mexico, broke it into 2 categories, western states resorts, and outside of US resorts. I am sure that several couples on here have been to more than we have, but this is how we see it:
West states resorts
Mira Vista - Tucson, AZ - 5 miles outside of Tucson - has kind of a desert cabin feel to it. If you go in early spring when the weather is good, may have quite a few couples there, but dead of summer gets pretty quiet. More of a nude resort, but not a lot of monitoring, usually several lifestyle couples there. If you go, great restaurant (my favorite in the whole world) La Parilla Suiza about 5 mile from the resort (recommend the Pachuga Suiza #15).
Shangri-La - Has kind of a Burning Man look to it. Located in New River about 25 miles north of Phoenix. A lot of older people live on the resort - dancing and events on the weekend. A lot of people show up (especially this time of year) on the weekends which mixes up the age diversity pretty well. If you want to stay the weekend, you can rent a mobile trailer, two pools a lot of water volleyball. Nude resort, pretty open group.
Desert Sun - We have probably stayed there 8 or 9 times (a week at a time)...beautiful resort located in downtown Palm Springs - Nude resort, not very lifestyle friendly, at least in the Public areas - Ms. Karma got lectured a few times, when she was keeping score for the watervolleyball game, and made it look too much like she was pole dancing while keeping score. They attempted to have a Karaoke night, Ms. Karma showed up, in pink panties and a bra with an attached pink choker, and she was immediately told she was not allowed to wear clothing (not a good idea to tell Ms. Karma that) she proceeded to wear the items to the karaoke party anyway, it was a pathetic event. The best part was when she (Ms. Karma) was singing "Girls just want to have fun", and went to grab the owner (female) and bring her on the stage to dance with her, and she (the owner) turned pure white and wouldn't get up...loved that. Problem is there are condo owners (some of whom we are now friends with), and then those staying in the hotel. The Hotel people are there on vacation, the condo owners kind of resent the hotel guests that are there to have fun in Public, they (at least the homeowners association) want everything done behind closed doors, and I mean everything...they monitor pretty close, at least in the activity pool. They have three pools (activity (water volleyball, music and events area), quiet pool and the back pool). Tennis court, 2 Jacuzzis and a caf
thanks for the reviews...being new to the are its nice having the opinions of locals. We had a great club back in NC and its good knowing there a similar ones within driving distance :)
There is another resort near Sacramento (can't think of the name of it). It is supposed to be a really nice place to go in the summer, but weather can be an issue in the early spring and fall. We know a few couples from the Sacramento area that love it. Again it is kind of a trailer rental place, gets very busy and caf
We have been to Desire Riviera in Cancun, Desire in Cobo, and Temptation Resort Cancun. All are great Resorts and you can have a great time at all, the beaches are privet and nice they are all inclusive Resorts great restaurants and fun bars. Desire Resorts are clothing optional and Temptation is topless optional. Desire are a little laid back and Temptation is more vibrant. they are all owned by the same company we have a membership with them if you need more info you may contact us
We are members at Desires Riviera Maya and love it. We have also visited Desires Pearl. It is very nice but we prefer Riviera. Can't lose either way.
Desires have become very expensive lately. :( Southern Utah or Las Vegas needs a LS resort. Who wants to start one? ;)

We enjoy two nude beaches in the us. San Francisco has a huge nude beach just south of the bridge in the old presidio. The closer you get to the bridge the more gay guys there are. We loved it. Lots of alcoves along the rocks to get serious when you are ready.

Houlover beach florida is lots of fun as well. Thousands of naked folks. Sexual activity will get you a ticket or worse. Lots of police presence.

Sea Mountain Inn in desert hot springs has been great fun. We always stay on the property. We fly in with one small Carry on, no extra clothing. Our last flight TSA asked if we had checked a bag since our small single bag only had toys in it. Mrs simple said you may want to check that in private since there are children present.

Once you get there you never wear clothes. Never less than 5 couples having sex at or in the pool at any given time. The parties starts around 10 as most folks don't go to bed till 3-4. And take lots of energy drinks. We have never gone and had sex less than 5 times a day.

We look forward to trying a naked cruise perhaps in November and some of the Mexican resorts.
We have also been to these resorts in AZ: Shangri-La and Mira Vista and had a great time. Another place is in Jacumba, CA just east of San Diego which is really fun.
Fantastic!..definitely more than we thought...decisions,decisions..guess we will have to hit them all :)
Maybe we should get a group together and plan something in the next few months

I am actually in the process of trying to find some investors that would be willing to take at look at my hotel/resort idea. It would be located outside of Vegas.
Heading to Shangri-La the first weekend in April...I think it is April 4th to April 6th...hint...hint (just a weekend getaway). So, if anyone is interested in giving it a shot, we will be there.
A lot of good descriptions have been given. I don't want to rehash what has already been said, so I'll stick to a few new ones that I can add. Somewhat conflicting opinions have been given about Sea Mountain. If you want a detailed description of that place, please PM me.

In California, you also have Black's Beach, just below Torry Pines golf course & glider port. It's a nude beach that is physically stressful to access & generally fairly sparse with people. If you like privacy, it can be a great place. Laguna Del Sol in California is probably the single largest nudist resort in the US. Play here is mostly on the down low.

Florida's east coast has several traditional swing clubs that are close to Haulover nude beach. There is also a less traditional place called the Roof Top Resort in Lauderdale. It's a nude property where play is common. It has a pool on the roof & some play rooms as well as many overnight rooms. Deenies Hideaway is a low key on-premise place not too far from there where you can hang out by the pool or the pool table all day & all night. It's low key & frequented by moderately attractive people. It's usually not too packed. Trapeeze is an action packed club that is frequently packed & generally has a fairly pretty crowd. Miami Velvet is more of a dress to the 9's swing club. All of these are on-premise.

The west side of Florida has a large concentration of clubs in Pasco County, which claims to boast the largest per-capita quantity of nudists in the US. Some facilities are laid back hippy type places. Some are very upscale & boast a wide variety of facilities. Some have large live-in communities. None that I know of in this area have an actual beach that you can use. The one that has a fresh water beach also has signs warning of alligators. Some have very active swingers in residence. Let me know if you want more specific details.

Holland has some excellent clubs, including the single best one that I have been to.
We just got back from sea mountain! We had a blast. About 50/50 when it comes to age of the crowd there, but everyone was friendly/non-aggressive plus they don't allow single males so female to male ratio was great. We went with friends and did have about 4 other couples come in to see our friends, so we had a good group. It is a smaller resort, but we actually kinda like that. Closer quarters, more new friends.
We also did temptations Cancun last year & it was awesome. Its topless optional so not any play going on out in publick but there is plenty of afterpartys so to speak, for those interested. All inclusive is nice, and on sight, out door dance club was a hit. Again we went with a group of 4 couples and left with a lot of new friends that will probably meet up there this year again.
I would say that just like any other lifestyle getaway anywhere, your opinion as to if its a good time kinda rests on your attitude & if you plan ahead and take friends. We love to meet new people and make new friends wherever we go so we try and get out and say hi. We find with that attitude its hard not to have a great time! Just our two cents.
Great info....seems most reviews of Sea Mountain are good so will definitely check it out..attitude is everything :)
I would say preference more than attitude, we always make plenty of friends, for us willingness to say hello was not the issue. Ms. Karma and I like to get to know other couples, go to dinner and know more about them, before anything happens...with Sea Mountain it is just too forward. Had a couple times where Ms. Karma and I were playing with each other and a few couples would just come, and stick something right there or try to join in without any kind of communication or even eye contact with us. If others like that great, but it kind of turned us off. Not to say that was the norm, but to say everyone respects each others space there...at least for us that was not exactly the case.
Wallmart in West Valley.

Oh wait different kind of freaks :-)
we vote for Temptations Cancun. not exclusive lifestylers but damn fun and still lots there.
We have been to Sea Mountain a couple of times. Nice mix of people, clean, fun, a bit small, the sex is very much out in the open and encouraged. The staff is great, drinks are good, the food is interesting but OK. Adds a little to the charm of the place. People have always been respectful but I think that is more of an individual thing than a resort issue.

Desire is also very nice. The resort is very good, food is very good, activities are plentiful, the disco was fun. It does have a very nice beach with bed you can reserve. Don't miss the BLT sandwiches at midnight. Large resort, with lots of people. The sex is a lot more hidden than Sea Mountain but available if you choose.

We will miss you by a week we are going to Scottsdale last week of March. Like I don't travel to AZ enough.
We hear Temptation is a good one too but that they hound you to death about timeshare bullshit constantly...I think we have Cancun in our sites though

we have been there lots and if you just tell them not interested they leave you alone. its the "maybe" people that they keep hounding.
We have been to Desire several times and it is amazing, and to us well worth the higher price. Hope we don't sound like snobs but the higher price keeps the riffraff out. We recently returned from our first trip to Hedo and it was much better than expected: good food, fun people, great beach ... but it didn't have the sexy couples vibe that is so amazing at Desire. Just our $0.02. Just wondering if anyone here has tried the lifestyle resort in the Canary Islands. The promos we have seen look awesome but we have heard no one ever mention it.

Caliente is like that too.
We booked our trip to Temptation Cancun first week in June..can't wait :)
You should check out the website www.cancuncare.com We usually go the second week of June but are not going this year. We are part of a group called the June Junkies. They have theme nights they set up for the dance club and they also do daytime themes for the sexy pool. You have to go on Steve's Boobs cruise also. It will make your trip for sure. Have fun....We are jealous ;)
awesome....sounds like a really fun week...maybe we should have went then :) We got a crazy deal through expedia for 6 nights...so cant wait !
