But we booked the trip anyway. We were completely shocked when we saw what was happening. It never occurred to us that such a place could exist. We ultimately became intrigued and years later, we jumped in.

Profiles? - - I think for most of us that live outside of the greater Salt Lake area its about location. We live in Southern Utah, which is a swingers wasteland.
Do people even read profiles? I think they just look at pics and if they like what they see they may read part of your profile, but not really pay attention to it.
I think in light of Mr Uthot's advice I may need a profile makeover too! Ours is as generic as the next one, but nobody really reads it anyway, except to pick at it when I post a controversial thread in the forum, then they read every word, mix it up and spew it back at me!

Your profile photos are bad... I mean in this lifestyle people like what they like and if you dont have enough photos to show what you are like in general.... then pass (at least for us anyway)
I always get more action then my hubby, he has the same issue....how to start up the conversation. Its hard enough for a actual single guy to get laid, let alone a married one without the woman thinking your a freak or cheating.
We go to parties, and then follow up with the ladies there. Thats where he's got the most single guy action from. Even then that conversation can be a hard one to start haha
I have a issue with my hubby not wanting to be "outed" in his professional circle so thats a difficult one. I'm very very very open and honest and that can be difficult for me to hide stuff like this (side note, I would NEVER out someone else, I just have a hard time keeping my own secrets!)
All I can say about that being outed thing. Take a walk in the mall, you'll see a couple hundred people that your more then likely never to see again, even though logically you live in the same area and do some of the same general things.
Loosen up, live a little. If she does see someone at work that she's slept with.. guess what... they've seen her too! All of the swingers I have met are very respectful and wouldnt come up and high five and say "Nice fucking you Sat, when can we do it again?" at a board meeting or something HAHA Just sayin'

These people are kind, caring, successful people who I would love to have any of them as my neighbor. They have never tried to drag, lure, or trick, me. They have there rules of ethics, where no means no and they abide by it. At other parties I have attended I have had men keep hitting on me when I told them I was not interested, now to me that is wrong and disrespectful.
As a foot note; on a so called regular internet dating site I had over 120 men contact me and close to a half wanted a sexual relationship. So how is the 70 men a shocking figure? It pretty much what happens on the internet whether it is swingers or not. Its just on swinging sites they truthfully admit they are married instead of hiding it.
You may not have wanted to have heard my views and experience with these people. But I could not sit back and have them portrayed as something they are not, it would be wrong to do so. Sincerely Joanne D
Added Profile Information - We need your feedback. - Have seen on other sites a computer match auto search that matches the top 10 or 20 profiles that match what you and the others are looking for. This could save a lot of needless looking into others profiles endlessly. Some dating services are set up in a simular manor and it does have its benefits. Also good to have a place for specific ages you are looking for, or others are looking for. That way us vintage stock swingers would not be viewed as trying to bother the younger generation that may view us as pasture ready.
San Diego Visit? - Any swing clubs people can recommend in San Diego? - IT has been a while since i posted on here or was active on the site but I am heading to San Diego for a week or so and checking to see if anyone knows of a good place to go to for swinging activities in San Diego area? At what point do you out yourselves to family and friends?? - - I really don't think it makes that big a difference. What ever you are comfortable with is what you should do. Me personally, I let the people I work with that we are swingers, after they had guessed. Didn't see any reason to lie to them. Hell I was hoping to get in the pants of a couple of them. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer.
