Just curious are we the only ones? - Just curious are we the only ones? - The black-ring on the right-hand has quickly become the new "standard" on how to tell if someone's a swinger in public. (No, it's not a sure-indicator, but it's gaining traction FAST in the swinger community -- especially outside of Utah where Swingular isn't so well known, and there's not so much of a swinger-bubble). - It started off as a discussion on Kasidie a few years ago. (Many people think it's been around longer, but I've never seen any verified instance of it referenced prior to about 5 years ago... would love to be corrected on this with hard proof, however). - Several swingers bloggers and podcasters picked it up and endorsed it. - Almost all of the larger online swinger communities are now endorsing it. - It's even been mentioned a few times on PBTV's show "Swing". - We recently went on a swingers cruise and saw LOTS of couples wearing them. It's actually got some real traction..... The great thing is that it's small. It's cheap. It's not obvious to anyone else. It's easy to 'deny' if you ever ARE caught ("Oh.. I just liked the ring..").. My wife and I both wear them now... But we've never seen them "in the wild" in Utah... We found that they made a great conversation starter. More Info here: - http://www.okswing.com/ind.. - http://www.lifestylerings.com/faqs.html - http://swapfu.blogspot.com/p/black-ring-right-hand.html Swingular tends to create a little bit of a bubble for us Utah people... since the rest of the country uses other sites. The black-ring concept is trending elsewhere, nationally... and not so much in Utah.

jealousy - - Ugh. So sick of people saying "if you get jealous, you're insecure and shouldn't be in the lifestyle!" Jealousy, like love, comraderie, happiness, hate or fear--it's an emotion. A natural response to stimulus. It can be pleasant to some, unpleasant to others. The truth is that each of us has (maybe only your first time?) felt the sting of a little bit of jealousy-whether we admit it or paint it as something more PC, it is what it is. A little human emotion. The key is how you deal with it-do you allow it to effect you, ie let your body and it's imperfections dictate how you view reality? If so, then you probably should take a step back from this particular lifestyle. However, if you're one of many of us who admits to small twinges of jealousy and yet can get over it, enjoy watching their partner receive pleasure and still rest easy knowing they are their partners number one priority, then you're probably ok. IPeople who consider swingers part of some sort of "elite" group of society who are above natural pitfalls of human emotion annoy the hell out of me. Just sayin.

Skicouple - Going beyond flirt with delicious vanilla - I (female) have a very flirtatious relationship with my chiropractor. Sometimes I wonder if he and his wife are also in the lifestyle, because his flirting is so "forward". I know enough about his wife to say that my husband would love to play with her. Would love to see some suggestions on how to approach the subject of asking him if he and his wife are swingers. I certainly do not want to make the guy think that I am suggesting an affair or a random fuck...

searching - search forum topics -
If you are really committed here are the steps to use Google to search (yes people the forum is indexed on Google) and then view it the regular viewer on the site. BTWs, it's totally crap that we have to do this and that the site doesn't work. 1) use google.com to search by adding "swingular.com:" in front of your keywords (e.g. "swingular.com:kik". This tells Google to limit results to just this site. 2) Click on the result you like and you'll then be taken to a hideous, somewhat sanitized (vanilla, hehe) view of the post that is totally unreadable. Don't panic yet. 3) Grab the number from the URL (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/swingers/i/16397/KIK-Chat would be 16397) 4) Make sure you are logged into the site and add your number to the post view url of https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=[[number here]] and press enter (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=16397) 5) Come back here and post again about how stupid it is that you have to do that Like I said, you have to be committed. Mr. Ginger
Thank you for the clear, accurate steps of this fresh hell.

Don't You Hate When..... - List the things that annoy you. - Besides me, list some of the things that really annoy you. Let me start this one by saying... I really think it's childish when someone writes you an email in private, saying all the things that they want to get off their guilty little chest and then they put a block on me, so that I cannot reply. What are these people like 12 years old? Apparently, following the "Why so much hate in the swingers world" thread, the racial comments that followed and my thoughts on the situation, another floridian couple (I won't mention names), thought I was directing my comments toward them. So, they decided to write me and tell me how wrong I was about them and that I must be hiding my picture because it may apply to me and all this nonsensical crap, only to block me from telling them, they had nothing to do with my remarks. I would just like to ask these idiots that, if what I said didn't apply to them, why did they get so defensive??? It appears as though the truth may have hurt these two tolerant and progressive people. Why write me, trying to justify to me how you're not racist and that black guys in the Florida area are arrogant and "put themselves up on a pedestal? Here is what they wrote me:

Originally wrote in thread: "perhaps TEQUILAROSE was confused by my statement, I stated that alot of people have fetish's but I do not know alot of white couples that are interested in black men..." Email One: "do not dare accuse me of racism, i have heard of your attacks in forums from other people on this site, it is extremely taboo to say you are not interested in black, and black men seem to love to place themselves on a pedestal, i live in tampa, i know ALOT of black people and honestly i have alot of exposure to them but i have no interest and i voiced what i have noticed in the swing world and i made it clear it was my opinion but do not attempt to play the racist card with me, keep in mind its not nearly as taboo to say your not interested in chinese, mexican, cuban, italian, however its not taboo for a black person to say he or she is not into interracial, its a double standard and its wrong." Email Two: "by the way, i do not see your husbands photo, it seems like racism is a sensitive subject for you, since you seem to wear it on your sleeve, is there a reason for the hostility thats closer to home?" WTF?
Just to kill any presumptuous suspicions that some of you may have, I will say that this couple is from the Riverview, FL area and not Palm Coast, FL area. This mean Kristylynn did not write this. That's the best way to put it without violating someone's privacy. So don't draw any conclusions. Anyway, I am interested in hearing some of the things that piss you guys off in the lifestyle. So write it down. All I ask is that you not mention any names, 'cept mine. I could give a fuck. I think they best way to understand people is to find out what makes them tick and what ticks them off. No pun intended. -D-

Gloryhole - Any glory holes in northern utah? - You should go on two for one single male night. All ladies get their choice of any two single dudes and all the condoms they can eat...er I mean use. And any accompanying hubby gets a free commemorative blindfold and bottomless Diet Coke laced with saltpeter. [em]Emo_67[/em] But seriously...swingers who've never been to Habits?!!? That's like a Mormon who's never been to Wendover. A Muslim who's never been to Mecca. A stripper who's never gotten pole burns. A fire hydrant that's never been peed on. Boobies that have never been to Victoria's Secret! [em]Emo_84[/em]

FB group? - FB group -
I'm sure there are more. I know of one as I am the creator of it. But It's for Utah swingers only. Someone you know may have created one. Ask, or make one yourself.
Would love an invite :)

SWINGERS Golf Pro's and Tennis Ho's Crawl - Pub Crawl - You're invited to Our annual Golf Pros and Tennis Hos Bar Crawl. April 4th SWINGERS- is a golf and tennis themed, 9 bar pub crawl. Dress: is wild golf or tennis clothing. 20 minutes will be spent at each bar, which is considered a hole or a set. Once here, a player must have a drink/ shot/ or a beer, to have strokes removed from their scorecard by our judges. If you are a Tennis player you must win your set by gaining points. The scorecard contains the list of bars, what drinks must be purchased for stroke deductions, and a listing of other shenanigans folks can do to have strokes taken off or to gain points (such as Flashing, making out with a stranger, dressing in player attire bringing a mascot or caddy. (Points for creativity and/or sexiness). Quoting the movie Caddy Shack, or buying a judge a drink) the tennis player who wins the most sets also wins a prize. The Pro with the lowest score at the end wins all the bragging glory, a surprise gift and the coveted SWINGERS CUP. If you are not drunk by the 9th hole, you clearly didn't follow the game plan. All competitors get a Bar Golf t-shirt at the first bar. So that we can print enough T-Shirts for everyone, tickets will not be available after March 29th. NON-COMPETITORS there is no cost for you to attend this event. But please cheer and give encouragement to the competitors. Also act as good caddies and help the player get from bar to bar. Positive Media Attention - KUTV should have read this - A lot of metaphorical ink was spilled in recent weeks about how awful the KUTV piece on swingers is/was. Thought you all might all appreciate this Op-Ed in the news magazine The Week (one of the most prestigious mainstream news mags) ... sometimes the media does portray things in a positive light. Kudos to the Portland couple for their articulate defense of the lifestyle. http://theweek.com/articles/583977/journey-from-stayathome-mom-sexual-adventuress

Advice for "mixed" couples - What are the odds? - INSIN makes a good point. What happens if or when she finds someone she is more sexually compatible with and perhaps even more compatible with on certain other levels as well? That of course is one of the biggest potential pitfalls. But let's look at this from perhaps a strictly social angle. We've been doing this so long that almost all of our close friends are swingers. Will she continue to make friends with and enjoy the heightened atmosphere of socializing with her swinger friends over hanging out with say, more reserved mutual vanilla friends? I know how hard it would be for me personally not to get extremely bored hanging out with mostly vanillas versus swingers where few if any topics are taboo and there is the added excitement of sexual tension in the air. Sometimes it's really hard to put the genie back in the bottle once he's out. And SIRNEWBY is correct in that at very least you should communicate the SHIT out of each other. Talk about EVERYTHING, in DEPTH. Then maybe you have a shot at keeping your relationship intact. Of course we're all assuming that's your ultimate goal. We know plenty of couples, one in particular who is going through this currently where one spouse apparently does NOT want to preserve the relationship (at least on some levels) and was encouraging their spouse to seek outside exclusive relationships.
