While it may not be new, it's definitely gaining traction.. And some of the sillier things (like the upside down pineapple) are going the way of urban legends. =)
Would like to see it more in Utah, since it's definitely a "thing" when you get outside the lowly shelter of Utah-centric Swingular. (SLS, Kasidie, etc, are all at least mentioning it regularly now, if not downright pushing / endorsing it).... And the OTHER online communities (like reddit) are pushing it pretty hard.
Even when it comes to swinging, it seems Utah is sheltered. =)
However, worth adding, that based on my observations, it's gaining traction mostly with the under-40 crowd. (Not coincidentally, the same crowd that's more active in the social-media circles).

Its Saturday night - - Hello everybody
Its saturday night and why is there so many of us swingers sitting here online and not out playing with friends?

Age - New to the swingers community - is age a factor in how a couple is viewed? - Well we are barely 30 and we find that we usually end up with couples mostly our age, not for any particular reason its just how it seems to work out. We have hung out
Swing Camp (7/15 - 7/17) - Swingers Campout in Birch Creek Idaho - Yes, we have considered Fall Creek and an older group used to hold campouts there in the past (called "Booty Camp"). One of the primary considerations for us as a group is that we have some place we can reserve because it would suck to plan something like that and get people, especially ones from out of the area, to come only to find that someone beat us to the spot (it is not uncommon up here for people to take their campers to spots they like, such as Fall Creek, and leave them there for weeks or months, which makes it difficult to plan an event. There is a reservable area at Fall Creek, but we didn't get to it in time. It is something we will be looking at for next year, for sure.
