Its about that time again! The Tampa Bay Lifestylers will be having another Lock-down party on Sunday afternoon, April 27th as we take over Club Elite! And this time, were bringing Swappernet with us. Thats right, the premier online community for swingers: www.swappernet.com is joining forces with The Tampa Bay Lifestylers and Club Elite to put on the best damn lifestyle party in the Tampa Bay area. Bar none!
Our theme this month is "Ladies In Lingerie". There will be games, prizes and a contest for (you guessed it) the sexiest women wearing lingerie. The top 3 winners of our Ladies In Lingerie contest will win some great prizes. Winners will be judged based on originality, theme and sexiness. So we encourage all of you lovely women to put on your hottest teddies, garter belts, bustiers, stiletto pumps and thigh high stockings to compete for prizes! Swappernet will be on hand to give out plenty of prizes as well.
The doors will open early that day at 5:00 PM and the party will go until the wee hours. If you already have a Club Elite membership, admission is only $20 per couple, single females are free and single males are $50. If you come to our party that Sunday, and have not yet purchased a Club Elite membership, you can get an annual club membership for $20 per couple, $10 per single female single and $50 per single male and you won't have to pay an entry fee. Isn't that a great deal that they're offering our group? So for those of you that have yet to check out Club Elite, now is the time to get a discount annual membership! You can't beat this deal: a $75 yearly membership for these low prices. Feel free to bring along friends if you like too. The more the merrier!
Club Elite is an on-premise bottle club. So remember to BYOB. The Elite Clubwear store will also be open and is offering our group a 10% discount off anything in their boutique during our party.
The doors will be locked at 8:00pm. You can leave anytime

Another Swingular Members Party - Concerns Addressed Here! - [css]background-image:url('http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll175/simplychicblogs/pinkandblackmodflower-1.jpg'); color:#FFF; padding-left:220px;[/css]First, we just want to thank everyone for a very successful night at our last party. We had over 400 members there and it was the sexiest crowd we've ever seen! We read the forums and some of you had some concerns and we want to address those concerns before announcing the upcoming party.
Overall, most of you were happy with the party and the venue, however, a small percentage of you didn't like the venue. We totally understand that a nightclub like The Hotel isn't the perfect setting for a swingers gathering when you are trying to meet others and be social. To set the record straight, we just want to let everyone know how difficult it is to find a venue that will not only give up it's busiest night of the week, Saturday, but also give it up to a group like ours.
All of the lifestyle parties in Salt Lake combined don't have the best reputations for throwing 'by the law' parties as it is so a lot of venues won't even give us the time of day.
Not that any of us have done anything wrong, it is just that the liquor commission keeps a close eye on the bars and nightclubs and if there are any minor violations, like nudity or sexual acts, it could shut down the venue or cause a huge fine. Venues don't even want to chance it with any of the local lifestyle parties. So, imagine how difficult it is to find a venue that will take us.
Now, for the sake of providing all of our members a comfortable, fun place to hang out, socialize and dance, the ideal type of venue is one with lots of seating and tables, no-smoking inside, an outside patio for smokers and those who wish to get away from the music and heat, a bunch of bars for easy to get drinks, and a huge dance floor. All of this of course has to be able to hold up to 400 plus people in a private setting without sharing the club with the regular night.
There are only a few venues in Salt Lake that provide that, and the best one, Habits, will NEVER allow us to take over the club as they don't need our revenue.
Anything else that comes close to Habits is the same way, they don't need us and won't piss off their normal customers.
So we found a new venue that hasn't opened yet, that is perfect for our event. We set them up for the last party, however, they couldn't get everything ready in time. So we had a back up plan to go to the old Butterfly Lounge @ The Depot. They cancelled on us 3 days before the last party because they didn't want to host a lifestyle party.
So this brings me to how we ended up at The Hotel. It was the only venue that could hold up to 400 plus guests, provide a dance floor, provide some seating, as well as have a couple of fully stocked bars and the entire place to ourselves. The Hotel actually did us all a HUGE favor, so a special thanks goes out to them for accommodating our group at the last minute.
As for the music, since they already had a prior commitment to some DJ's before we got there, we had to agree to let them play for the first couple of hours.
So for those of you who did not like the venue, or the music, I apologize, however, this is the best we can do in a place like Utah. If you want to be able to go out and meet other members without having to share the club with non-lifestylers, I guess we all have to make some sacrifices and put up with what we are dealt with.
Also, some of you asked why we charge as much as we do. Honestly, $20 per couple is nothing. A normal night club charges that in Utah ($10/person) and if you go to most any lifestyle party or swing club outside of Utah, you will pay at least $50 or more per couple. So you are actually getting a deal here.
That money covers a lot of things that go into putting the party together such as deposits for the venue, DJ's, bands, supplies, etc... It also covers hosts and door staff, tipping out the club staff, and a lot of the people who put the work into to bring you such an event. You may not realize, but there is a lot work that goes into putting these things together, and the crap you have to go through with the venues doesn't help. ;)
With that said, I hope I have at least explained ourselves in our choosing of the venues and that we can move forward with your support in putting together more parties, not only for Swingular, but others such as Utah Uncensored, etc...
And now we can announce the next Swingular Members Party....
*** UPDATE ***
Saturday, June 19th, 2010 @ 9 PM
We have been unsuccessful in getting the previously announced new venue for our party. This new venue could not accommodate us and the lifestyle, therefore, our only choice to have a lifestyle party would again be The Hotel. This venue is still a great venue to have a lifestyle party. It is very nice (vegas style), it has multiple levels, it has 4 + bars to get drinks, and it is downtown next to hotels.
We will be arranging a specific hotel for our group and try to get a group rate as well.
This time, we have full control of the music, so we will make sure that the music is not too loud and we have arranged for a DJ to start with classics to rock, to 80's, to 90's and end the night with more dance music.
All seating will be first come, first serve, no bottle reservations required.
Tickets will be $20/Couple in advance and $30 cash at the door. Select single men that accompany another couple will be $30 in advance, $40 cash at the door. Single women are always free, at the door, no ticket needed.
We will also be selling tickets at local establishments through out Salt Lake, Provo & Ogden. If you live in one of those areas and would like to help us find a place to sell tickets and manage that for us, we will give you free access to all parties you manage. Contact us for details.
Tickets will go on sale online Tuesday, June 1st @ 8 AM.
We will post pictures of the venue here shortly.
That's pretty much it for now, see you at the next party!!
Is there a small group of couples - -
We spent the night at Secret's Hideaway in Orlando last week, Now the miss's want to buy a hotel and turn it into a place like Secret's I told her Utah would never allow a business like that in the state of Utah. So we figure go with some thing that would work in Utah :)
LOL, we were driving though sardine canyon the other night and I said we should buy Sherwood hills and turn it in to a swingers resort.
POT... Should it be illegal? - - Or Hippocrates...can never remember which.
And I have news for you. It AIN'T just the "holy mormon empire". There are more than enough hypocrites in this world to go around (most of us swingers included). [em]Emo_84[/em]
Canadian court lifts ban on \'swingers\' clubs - Group sex among consenting adults not a threat to society, it says - Very Agreed that Swinging is no threat to susiety unless you are A Single trying to play alone with the wrong person. \"Internet is full of scary people\" (Like us.lol.jk) But If you think about whats right and wrong, and how it started. First thing Swinging started with Married couples who would swap \"And I mean swap for the night!lol\". The orgys and 3rd party singles didnt come in to the Whole Idea till later. That to me is just a open sexual relationship. \"Not swinging\". But if you think about it Swinging is commiting Adultry, or is it. If its concensual \"is it really cheating?\" kind of like \"If a tree falls and no one is around \"Did it make a sound?\"
So if it is Adultry Then that would make swinging against the law. But we are Liberal\'s who beleave that as long as what we do dont hurt you then leave us alone.LOL. But it still doesnt justify it. Itresting topic really. It can spawn off in so many directions. Any way thanks for letting me speek my mind, and sorry for the spelling and grammer.
Lack of Communication - Is it really that hard? - I've been thinking about this thread (and other's like it...they seem to come along every few months or so, along with the ones about whether or not condoms are a good idea or whether we're just caving to the big latex conglomerates) and I have a few additional thoughts.
First, many (most?) emails we receive seem to have about as much thought put into them as one might put into which side of their hamburger to start eating on. If they aren't spammed out to multiple people the senders, at very least, don't seem to have the verbal capacity to write anything beyond, "We seen yer add and wanna put our naughty bits in yer naughty bits." [SIC] Is it that hard to include a little tidbit or two about WHY you think we might be a good match for you and why we would want to take time out of our busy lives to meet with you? And the few that DO contain more than a generic greeting or poorly thought out pick up line have obviously not read our profile (don't necessarily blame them...takes a minimum of a couple of hours to slog through) and don't know what we are and are not looking for. For Christ's sake, give us at least ONE compelling reason why you think we'd like to meet you such as, "We love fisting out stuffed ferrets too and also worship Satan as our lord and master. Let's have coffee."
Second, when did we all become such Tender Heart Care Bears? And why do we necessarily feel entitled to a response to a more often than not spammed out email from people wanting to perv our locked pics? I've only written back to that nice Nigerian prince like ten or fifteen times before I finally got tired of him asking for my checking account number. Do you call back every carpet cleaning company that leaves a message on your voice mail? Do you send a nice polite note back the the guy who's running for president for the Violent Tyrannical Dictator Party and wants you to donate to his campaign fund? I mean, he was even nice enough to send you a self addressed stamped envelope.
So maybe put a little thought into your solicitations. Give people a compelling reason to write you back beyond, "OMG, you're swingers? We're swingers too. We should totally fuck!". This goes double for single guys. Read the profile...even if you have to do it over two or three nights and use a dictionary to look up the big words. Take note of what people are and aren't looking for and especially if they mention your particular demographic. And last but not least, Don't worry about it if someone doesn't write you back. For all you know they've just survived a horrific bumper car accident at Lagoon or maybe they're 2 days in to binge watching all nine seasons of Matlock and haven't eaten or slept for two days. If you're consistently not getting any responses to your emails maybe you're fishin' in the wrong pond. Take a good long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly if Angelina Jolie REALLY would like to fuck you or if you're more likely to hit it off with Steve Buscemi or Nick Nolte.

Maybe we need to make your place a swingers stomping ground...
Why is same sex marriage really such a big deal - Just rambling, could be interesting... - KOIMOO,
Marriage is not just for rearing children. It's a committment of two or more people to live together or "partner" for X amount of time. It's a contract. Some religions say until death. One of the outcomes of some marriages, can be children but even for a great many of them, children cannot or do not occur. For you to make such an all-encompassing statement is ignorant on your part.
Marriage can be for many things including but not limited to love, convenience, lust, children, foolishness, money etc. Whatever your reason, it should be your own decision as an adult. We all deserve equality. We should all be able to marry who we want to marry. Marriage is a contract in the eyes of the law. Any humans that are of consenting age should be able to marry. It's not your place or mind to determine what suits others.
If you want to speak of evolution. The process of selection makes that trait which is less favorable cause the eventual demise of the genetic line involved. If humans or all animals for that matter, were endanger of your fear, homosexuality would've been selected out a long time ago. The truth is, it's been around since before upright humans and will continue to go on. For you to deny someone equality for such reason just shows how naive you really are. Your argument counts against every marriage that doesn't seek children. Sexuality has nothing to do with it.
If you want to use "evolution" as an argument against marriage. Let's deny everyone who has a genetic defect in their family the right to marriage. Come on people. We live in a society that's meant to be free and we have people constantly trying to deny it to a certain group because of bigotry.
To the religious folks,
When these oppressed people have had enough and the fires start, I am gonna bust out the marshmallows. To all you religious swingers out there that defend this non-sense, you better believe if some church was trying to deny me marriage to the love of my life, I would cook me some churches. Give me liberty or give me death. That's my motto. Fuck any motherfucker trying to oppress that which many have died to give me, my freedom. Take your bible and jam it in your fuckin colon.
Some of you might say, "Delete this post! It's offensive" or "Get TR out of this site, I am tired of the offensive posts". Let me just say this. This subject offends me. What you are saying to gay people is offensive. I can't believe after the advances in civil rights we've overcome in the last 1/2 century, we're still dealing with bigotry to the point where bigots have the majority to pass bigoted laws. Where does that majority originate??? The Christian Church. The only difference between these fools and radical islam is that the oppressed in the Middle East fight back. Here we let it happen. I say get this shit calling itself Judeao/Christianity out of our government and public for good! Secularity will give equality to everyone. GAWUD has no place in government.
"Although a political subject we can all learn that tolerance is a virtue not all of us have. Same sex marriage is a way for people to stand together with some one they love. Whether physical or emotional. Same sex marriage is not an emotional problem but is in fact a legal problem to many. Our courts, family services are clogged with cases for hetero marriage problems, and now add same sex marriage to the quotion. The average divorce with children involved can take up to 14 months to conclude. If you add same sex marriage that would stretch that to almost 24 months and bring issues the courts are not prepared to handle. I know you all want to attack religion but this is only a small portion of those that object too same sex marriage. Gay couples can adopt although more diffacult it does happen, can a partner recieve money if his/her partner dies? yes they can especially if the child concerned is not of legal age. Marriage is a legal contract not religious, living together and treating one another with respect and love is the moral side of any marriage legal or not. "
Rights to equality shoot down your argument that it would further "clog" the system. Just as saying the same about interracial marriage. Would you deny a black man and white woman marriage based on that same reasoning, if it were still illegal? We somehow managed to take that extra load when it happened.
Our government wasn't prepared to handle 9/11 with airport security and we created TSA. I am sure we can handle same-sex marriage. ahaha. I love some of these ludacris arguments.
Religion is not a small part of the objection to marriage. Religion is on the forefront.
Recieving money for death, isn't the argument. It's equality. Gay people should have the same right to marry the person they choose just as you do, with all rights and priviledges.
