Habits Saturday night - Any couples or single ladies want to join us? - We hardly ever see any swingers when we go there but after about 10 it get so crowed in there it hard to see anyone.

Single? - - A lot of this could be clearer if we used the word "unmarried" when we mean an unmarried person, and never use "single" to describe unmarrieds. That way "single" can be used exclusively to describe partnered swingers, who will be playing solo...cuz partner is working, traveling, not interested or ill etc...

Polyamory, Swinging, and the Single Man - - We know a few people that associate with the poly community, as in consider themselves poly and we have been to a few poly pot lucks ourselves. The poly people we know are all very nice people. None of the people we actually know that that consider themselves poly have ever actually been in a long term full on poly relationship as in everyone involved ending up equally as committed to each other and the relationship. We have known people where a married couple, with a bisexual wife had a live in relationship with a bisexual woman but in the end it did not last very long and the couple and the woman went their separate ways and we have know a few couples that have been in exclusive relationships with another couple where part of the equation wanted to basically make it as permanent as their primary relationship and part of the equation did not. Relationships with commitments, especially those that are the most rewarding are life altering and if you are not really, all in, heart and soul the advanced level of commitment and the corresponding obligations will eventually become a burden you may be unwilling to bear. If what is looking for as an individual is deep passionate friendships without expectations and obligations, that you feel reduce your freedom, then a poly relationship and marriage may not be in their best interest. There is nothing wrong with that. If a deeply pair bonded couple wants the freedom to enjoy deep and passionate friendships with others, including sex, without the same level of obligation and expectation they offer one to another then are they poly or are they swingers? Probably more swingers than truly poly-amorous or maybe they are poly light or swinger intense. The secret may be to figure out who you are and then be true to yourself. A lack of understanding of self can lead to disappointments in relationships. Intentionally misrepresenting or misleading someone for sex rarely and probably never ends up all good. We all on occasion may unintentionally end up misleading someone when we try and be what we think others wants us to be and in the end we just do not have it in us. We can say for a certainty that we are not poly in the truest sense of the word or really even poly light. Our relationship as a couple is paramount and we willfully and joyfully commit to all the obligations and commitments and even the disagreements that accompany living our lives together and with our progeny. We both inherited genes that seem to have targeted both of us to seek out a life long partner, have and raise a family and to express ourselves sexually mostly together as a couple. We have been in a couple of longer than usual not really exclusive relationships where we were seeing the same people pretty much weekly. We discovered that we are okay with having good friends with sexual benefits but the ability or the desire to be in a poly relationship is just not within either one of us. Self discovery and relationships often requires a bit of experimentation and a lot of self examination. Affiliating and seeking to self identify with a group to achieve acceptance friendship and sex is pretty common and pretty normal. Many of the people we know that self identify as poly are not unwilling to enjoy a little sex for sex sake between friends so long as they understand that is all that is happening. Good luck and have fun!

Featured Couple - - We agree that the featured Members seem to be a VERY SMALL SELECT FEW who cycle in and out. But we do also believe it\'s nice to see who is sincere in this lifestyle. Because we believ if your willing to have your face posted upon a SWINGER SITE that pretty much says you still believe in the TRADITIONAL BELIEFS of the swingers, it\'s all about fun and if someone contacts you UNLESS they are totally freaks your gonna meet them and try and establish a link between you and then F^&K each others brains out. OK SORRY we don\'t even believe that........................

Swingle males. What's in it for you? - - Interesting. Thanks for the feedback. So are a lot of the chicks in the hookup scene cray cray? "Copping a pregnancy on the sly" is pretty low. Is it that common? Also, the "stranger danger and blind sexual incompatibility" seems like it would be more or less equally as prevalent in the lifestyle. Not to mention STD's stalkers and cheats. What makes you think swingers are inherently more trustworthy in any given situation?

Western Caribbean Cruises in Feburary (anyone going) - Feb. 21st Carnival freedom - Mar. 1st RCCL Independence - Just want to know if any one is going and wants to meet up on these two cruises in Feburary, The first is on Carnival Cruise Line's the Carnival Freedom leaving Ft Lauderdale on Sunday Feburary 21st to the Western Caribbean for 6 days, The Next one we are taking while we are already there on Mar. 1st is on RCCL Independence of the Seas also to the Western Caribbean for 6 more days, We would love to meet up with other swingers while on these cruises for a more exciting cruise, What better way than this to make great friends for 6 day's. Also any couples in the Ft Lauderdale or around the Cruise Port that might want to meet for a afternoon or night out of the 28th, Maybe go to a club or dinner and or just stay at the hotel order in and have fun, We are between ships and staying at the Embassy Suites on 17th street. E-mail us we would love to meet some fellow swingers.

'No pressure!' or 'Boundaries respected!' - What does the opposite look like? - "...isn't it a given that one won't assault another person or attempt to do so?" One would hope. Unfortunately the lifestyle has become so adulterated (pun intended) by just about anyone who thinks it's a free, easy way to get NSA sex that you now have a virtual cornucopia of people who don't really "get it". What I guess I'm trying to say is that it seems like it's no longer wife swapping or swinging. It's now "the lifestyle" and apparently includes every manner of sexual libertine imaginable including those who view swingers (and yes I mean mostly females) as wanton sluts who are borderline nymphomaniacs that lack the capacity or will to say (or mean) "No.". It would be very interesting to poll women who have been in the lifestyle for a considerable amount of time, say ten, fifteen or twenty years, and ask them if they're ever had to more or less fight a guy off or worse, or if they've ever entertained unwanted advances so as to not rock the boat or harsh the vibe at a swing party. Sadly I'd be willing to bet the number would be fairly high. [em]Emo_8[/em]

Paper or Plastic? - - Republican swingers...go figure that one out, sort of like jumbo shrimp...

Children - - Riderz. I can see that angle too. Very good point. My kids are teens and we rarely cam with them around, unless we are just chatting normally and they can't see the screen. I've shown my kids to a few people on the chat when bragging about how fuckin' beautiful they are, in a conversation. HOWEVER... we do not expose them directly to the adult aspects of the website. They do know that we are swingers and what that means. We do not shelter our children. On the same token, we also teach them what privacy is by not allowing them into our private affairs. Anyway, everyone has their own standards for their children. I think we are doing ok. Ours are pretty fuckin cool. I think as long as you are not breaking the law, you should be fine. -D-

KSL swing story - - For those of you guys out of town. This is the transcript from the KSL website. "Everyone has shared their partners with everyone else in the room." "You're in happy valley and you think nothing like that could happen." An Eyewitness News Investigation takes us inside a delicate subject few people like to talk about -- infidelity, couples cheating, in secret, in the open, and joining a movement that appears to be gaining momentum. We heard persistent rumors that spouse-swapping and adultery is commonplace in certain suburban neighborhoods. We discovered those rumors were based on at least some truth. People told us they were being recruited -- marriage counselors say they are seeing more if it. There aren't statistics or easy answers, but it's clear the effects can be devastating. Love, commitment, holy matrimony. In Utah, where marriage vows and family values run deep. Woman: "They said it was more exciting when their spouse was involved." This story will open eyes to something many would like to keep secret. "It was taboo within their religious background." "I thought, this can't be happening here. This is Utah." Sometimes it's kept very quiet, among neighbors and friends. Other times, it's out in the open. Studies show infidelity is to blame for more than half of divorces in Utah. What we found surprised even experts. We knocked on doors, attended a party. We heard stories by phone, by email, but nothing could match what we heard in a pocket of Draper. "Something was wrong with every other neighbor in that neighborhood." Her husband's indiscretions shattered their marriage. "Intensely, intensely painful. It's the hardest thing I've ever been through in my life." The divorce final, he remarried one of their neighbors within a week. It seems adultery ran rampant. Up the block it was consensual with other married neighbors cheating together. People told us they moved to get away from it and stayed inside to avoid it. Across town one woman told us she just wanted to run from it: "Everyone in the room had shared their partners with everyone else in the room. These people had been married five, 10, 20 years." She and her husband were invited to a barbeque with couples from Draper, Provo, Sandy and Salt Lake. A doctor made a move. "He's hitting on me, like he's single, and his wife's sitting right there. I think, there's another motive to this party and it's not just to hang out and meet new people." They got out of there. While there's no data, experts say it's proof of a trend. Vicky Burgess/Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist: "I think, because sexual relations and sex itself is more open, I think we're seeing more of it." We found there are several parties where couples can meet. Randy Chatelain, Ph.D./ Marriage and Family Therapist: "I believe this kind of behavior is going to catch up with a couple, because where does it stop? What more do you have to involve to create the high?" Hundreds of couples pack a popular Sandy nightclub. "A lot of people nowadays have fantasies and they want to fulfill them with their significant other. This is the best way to do that." This man, who asked not to be identified, built a business, helping couples meet at parties. His website suggests spouses can be in love and still enjoy sex with others. "They figure, 'I would much rather do it with the person I love than have them do it behind my back.'" From the looks of it, he's pretty successful. He has 4,000 members living in Utah. How fast is it growing? Four years ago there were 150 members. How common is it? Posing as a married woman, we signed up on a website aimed at so-called "swingers." In six days, 70 married men, most from Utah, ask to start a fling.
