Why so much hate in the swingers world... - - I'm far from PC, but there are some things I don't find funny.
Swinging clubs/locations - - We went out last night. Button Down was full of Chads and Bros and the dance floor was small and uncomfortably crowded. No swingers in sight—just a bunch of kids (seriously, I felt really old there at 36). We bailed at about midnight and went to Moose Lounge and it looks completely closed down forever (**EDIT**: Moose Lounge is still open, it was just apparently either closed or just REALLY dead that night). We were very sad and went back to the hotel for our own after party by ourselves (which went very well for the record). We really liked Friday night moose lounge in the past, I hope something like that starts up again.

In our experience, most swingers ARE "smart progressive people" but, alas, we're not a homogenous group. Think of this thread as a sort of 'canary in the coal mine' in that it is not only giving you a heads up but saving you a LOT of time sorting thru a somewhat large group of people to point the way towards those you are most likely to get along with and possibly even eventually want to see naked. On Premise Swingers Club - SLC - We like the Idea, We lived in Vegas where there were several Swinger clubs. I think it it was a private residence large enough to hold at lest 70 -100 couples and had theme night it would work great. The only problem is picking an area. It seems the church runs most things in the state.

First time stories, wanna share? - - Our first experience wasn't so great. There was mis-communcation, and it was fairly awkward. Actually, when my wife and I left the hotel in the morning, we decided swinging wasn't for us.
A few days later we decided not to let one experience be the final judgment. We joined Swingular and started talking to a couple that contacted us. My wife and I were a bit worried by their much higher experience level, but than we decided maybe that would be better.
We were right. They were nice and respectful and did a great job of making us feel comfortable, and we ended up having a really fun night with them. I think being with experienced swingers allowed us to just be ourselves and only have to concentrate on our own boundaries. If we had been with another newer couple, we'd all have to worry about going to far. We had a good enough night that we have kept in contact with them and continued to slowly check out the lifestyle.
We're still Soft Swap, and full swing couples have been really gracious to us, letting us join them and get a better idea of the lifestyle, and letting us get our feet wet, before diving in to the deep end. :)
We've had no bad experiences, but some could have been better if we had communicated on our end better. We're still learning how to do that.
Overall, these early experiences have been a lot of fun, and we're finding that easing into the lifestyle isn't as rocky as we feared. It's been a fun journey so far.

Hosting a swingers Party - - Hello, my wife & I have a swinger's club on Yahoo. We have been trying to set up monthly parties & we need some help. We would like to have parties at a local motel, but we don't want to get burnt like we have before. If anyone can give us an ideal on the right way of setting up, collecting moneies..ect,ect...please do so. There are a lot of swingers in our neck of the woods & are looking for a way to unite them.
Our 1st party, we had asked for people to pay when they got to the party. We had rented a suite, 2 out of the 8 couples did. I guess that we're were being too nice & just ate the cost, it didn't taste good going down. So, any tips & help will be most welcumed! Thanks
