My parents probably expected me to be the "bad" girl, my sister on the other hand is totaly different and don't agree with the lifestyle. But we have been honest with our friends and have told them we are Swingers.

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News -
Y'all calm down, take a deep breath, swallow a Xanex or some other preferred object, and pull out your favorite battery powered appliance. This happens every few years and NOTHING ever comes of it. A few years back, City Weekly actually got a couple of reporters into a local swingers party ... and judging from the otherwise rather dismissive article, if you read between the lines, they might have actually had a good time. But the shrouds of secrecy never came down after that, Moroni was still facing east, and we all went about our deviant ways. I would like to say no one cares. But there are the Gayle Ruzika busybodies of the world who care ... because we are having so much more fun than they can ever possibly have. They have been around since the Inquisition. And probably always will be. But remember, in the end it is about how you feel about yourself. And in this day and age, you can exercise your constitutional right to use your middle finger.
You are exactly right. Every couple of years a story comes out. There's an old KSL one from 2006 still floating around that sounds like it's talking about this website without naming it. KSL Swinger Story

Vegas: Swingers circle or couples oasis? - Which do I prefer - How far from the strip is Couples Oasis? We will be there the first weekend in April and want some fun!

Swinging ,Or cheating? - - Swinging is having sex with people who are not your legal spouses. By definition, having sex with someone who is not your legal spouse is cheating. Therefore all swingers are cheaters, whether or not the spouse knows it. Now, throw that out the window, and label everyone who swings, as cheaters, but ONLY if their spouse does not participate. Don\'t bother to find out if he or she knows, approves, or even suggested it themselves. Having said that, I am still totally amazed that there are so many narrow-minded folks in this lifestyle. Yes, I completely agree that EVERYONE should know what is going on. I completely DISAGREE that those who play without their spouse\'s participation are automatically defiend as cheaters. I cannot speak for anyone else, but the fact remains, I don\'t do a thing without my spouse knowing about it. That includes participation in video chat (which she comes to very frequently, just ask anyone who is a regular), e-mailing or chatting with others, meeting, hanging out, or even adult play. If people bothered to get to know me, they would know that. But they knee-jerk and completely eliminate great people like me from their lives, just because they didn\'t bother to look before their leap to label. If they want to shut me out because I am married and my wife doesn\'t participate, they should go ahead and exercise their right to do so. It doesn\'t bother me a bit. They are perfectly entitled to do so, and I applaud them for that choice. But they are not allowed to jump to the conclusion that I am \"cheating\" because she doesn\'t play. That\'s grade-school-playground namecalling, slanderous, and beyond immature. If you don\'t know the circumstances, then you don\'t have the right to go around labeling everyone else. Whoever you are.

Single male in this lifestyle.. - I have questions for couples and single females. -
sorry Evildoers but stupid people get my goat
Look, I hear where you're coming from. But I sort of know this guy. Never actually met him, but there was some, I guess you could say, interaction through emails. And he sort of screwed something up, kind of embarrassed me with someone else, and pissed me off. For a minute. And the reason it was only for a minute (the fact that she thought it wasn't a big thing helped, I'll admit) was that he'd made an honest, but sort of clueless, mistake. And that he really wasn't aware that not doing what you say you're going to, and not letting anyone know until the very last minute when you could have let them know a lot sooner, is a much bigger thing here than it is in the vanilla world. But now he does know, and I'd be amazed if he ever did anything like that again. And my read on him is that he isn't stupid, just ignorant, a basically nice guy trying to figure out how to navigate in an unknown territory. And yeah, this is a topic that keeps coming up. But you know what? I suspect that the guys that bring it up are actually serious about the lifestyle, and that the ones who try it and find out it wasn't the "all the girls want to fuck" scene they thought it would be just shrug their shoulders and go back to the bars. I I suspect that a lot of swingers didn't get into it until they were a couple. And I also suspect that they might not realize what it's like for a single guy, if he's one that isn't just trying to find a quick and easy way to get laid. Believe it or not, not all of them are. Me, it's a case of been there, done that. Back when "free love" was all the rage, before Herpes, AIDS, or any other really serious STD, when any guy who couldn't go out on just about any Friday night and end up in bed with some girl had to be either the Hunchback of Notre Dame or a complete and total asshole,I was a single male in the lifestyle. I sure as Hell wasn't trying to find an easy way to get laid, in those days it didn't take much of an effort at all. And you'd think swinging was easier then, with sex being such a casual, no big deal, thing. But it was actually even harder and more complicated. As Evil said, it was called wife swapping, and it was a seriously bad thing as far as society was concerned. Swinger functions, like Sinful Saturdays, Risquee Soiree stuff, Meet n Greets? No way, Jose. There were only private, invite only, parties. There wasn't any internet, if someone was silly enough to try to set something like that up and advertise in the papers (the only avenue available then), no paper was going to take the ad. Everything was word of mouth, and that word pretty much only went to couples. It was actually dangerous. There were cases (not a lot, thankfully, but some) of the local police somehow finding out about a wife swapping party, raiding it, and hitting everyone there with morals charges. Which could even cost people their jobs. That was in the '70s, it did start to sort of loosen up in the '80s, which is when I left the country and the scene, but it was still more complicated than it is today, with no internet and everything word of mouth and single men by invitation only. So why did I bother, when sex was so damned easy to find everywhere? I LIKED these people, that's why. They were ignoring what everyone thought they should or shouldn't do, and were doing what they thought was right for them. Which is how I've believed, since I was maybe 15, that everyone should be. Point being, not all single males are JUST trying to get laid. So if someone comes along who takes the time and effort to ask how he can navigate what are some pretty treacherous waters, I think he deserves to be treated as if he's serious, just a little clueless, and not be ridiculed for it. Hell, even Evil, who's quicker than anyone I know to jump on utter stupidity with both feet, and ridicule the Hell out of it, gave the guy a break and some good, if blatant and not sugar coated, advice.

Swingers unnerve families at hotel - - We were there also at the Interlude event......Let me assure you No child was able to see any adult doing anything of anykind. There was no \"glass Atrium\" there were however glass elevators.. the Party was held in an enclosed invironment with security.. However to get to your rooms you had to take the glass elevators which are in the common area`s of the Crown Plaza......by the way all of the guest for the Interlude party were booked on the ninth and tenth floors ....Now if any child was exposed to anything it was less than anything they have seen on television or any magazine they can see at a grocery store check out line! Now for the mom who was highly offended ,, Her hubby was probably wishing he was with one of those well dressed lovely women!......Damd I cant wait till Disney Has a swingers pride day like they give all the flaming Homosexuals.... So we can Lead the Parade!

Other activities? - Do you only meet swingers for sex? - 90% of the people we meet we meet for friendship only......... there are only 10% that we click with to go further. We think the open friendship is the best part of the lifestyle. Its nice to have friends for clubbing, camping, bowling, etc......... One\'s that aren\'t shocked at your behavior...LOL Our lifestyle friends are probably the best friends we\'ve ever had..... Must be what we have in common huh?

First time flop rule - it happens - i have thought about this. we are newbies and havent even met up with a couple yet (there arent many swingers in our area apparently) we get the 'what if' thoughts. 'what if we dont click?' or 'what if we do click, everyone gets along great and we chicken out?' i mean were not shy, maybe were just nervous cuz were 'virgins'?
