Mardi Gras 2007!!!!! - Its never too early to plan - A group of people from Las Vegas have worked with a hotel in New Orleans and set up the entire hotel for a huge swingers gathering at Mardi Gras for 2007. The event is open to anyone and we hope will help with getting New Orleans back on its feet. We know this past Mardi Gras was a success for the city but next year should be a huge blow out.
Already half the rooms of the hotel are booked. So they are going quickly. The package is for just the room and transportation to the airport upon the completion of Mardi Gras. Black Ring - Who has theirs and how have they caught on? - We both have black rings and have worn them in public and to places like Habits, etc.. And we've done this off and on for well over 10 years (when we first became aware of what seems to be more or less a swinging urban legend). To date we have NEVER been approached by another couple and asked if we were swingers or anything close to it. Maybe we're just fugly and nobody wants to fuck us but the whole black ring thing is a big FAIL IMHO. Even if it ever did catch on it probably wouldn't take more than a few days to a few weeks for it to get out on social media, etc., and everyone would be looking for swingers with black rings in public (not unlike times we've gone to takeovers and had to wear wrist bands and it quickly got out to hotel staff, other guests, etc. that people wearing wrist bands were there for a swinger event). Most people (not all) involved in swinging really don't want their vanilla friends, family or coworkers...or even strangers to know they're swingers. Most vanillas pretty much classify swingers as worse people than Ashley Madison cheaters and used car salesmen. Much easier in our opinion to "meet" people at dedicated meet and greets or parties or here and other places online than to hope for serendipitous encounters out in public.

It's difficult to advise which club to visit if you only had one night. Not everyone who wants to go to Playhouselv is admitted. They are selective and we have some friends who were denied access. We also have some friends who were approved and absolutely love going there.
We are good friends with the couple that runs Whispers. We actually play them this week in our lifestyle Fantasy Football league. lol. They are a great couple and do a great job there.
The main difference is that Whispers never allows single males, whereas Playhouselv has specific nights when single guys can come.
You can't go wrong with either place.
But, definitely stay away from the tourist trap, Green Door. It's filthy with guys following you around jacking off. No bar, no DJ, no dancing, etc. Red Rooster is iconic for it's dated vintage look. It's busy with a loyal following that caters to an older crowd. It's not for us, but it might be fun to check out because it is iconic. Just keep your expectations low.
We do like going to Risque Estate during the daytime for the nude pool. It's worth paying the extra $20 for a daybed cabana to stay shaded. It's is a relaxing environment hanging out with other nudists. The evenings there are hit and miss.
Whispers has a busier daytime nude pool on the weekends. The atmosphere is more of a party scene compared to the quiet of Risque. Of course, some resorts on the strip have topless pools. But, you have to find the swingers amongst the mostly vanilla crowd.
Whatever you do, we hope you have a great time.
Going on a Cruise - Not sure what to expect - Post your cruise date and ship to see if you match dates with other like minded peeps. Where your black rings and maybe throw an inside down pineapple shirt in your luggage. But mostly if you go to the bars swingers give off a certain vibe and if you feel that initiate a conversation. We have been on numerous all inclusive vacations and have found other like minded people. Happy hunting
